quick dumb question about firefox

for the life of me I can't find the way to switch between profiles

Start --> Run --> Type in firefox.exe -P

This should bring up the profile manager, where you can create new profiles and choose existing ones. Untick the "Don't ask at startup" button if you want the profile manager to show every time you open firefox.

it just launches firefox.

Someone helpfully created themselves a profile but now I can't switch back to mine with all my cookies favourites etc

Exit firefox completely and then go to Start > Run and type firefox.exe -profilemanager

It should work now.
