The Farshot Campaign: Second Strike

We, as a species always thought that when we went to space, or indeed if we did so, it would be under the power of our own discoveries, that we would be responsible for inventing the technology that brought us to the stars. The Elders proved us wrong when they came to the Earth in their massive Home Carrier and offered us the opportunity to share in their technology and knowledge. We asked them what they wanted in exchange.

They wanted us to fight a war for them.

The Haegmonia. A mysterious hostile species that had been attacking the Elders for several years, without any of their species being seen by any Elder. Despite technology equal or greater than their enemy, the Elders had been steadily being pushed into smaller and smaller sectors of the galaxy. The Elders had no tactical ability or battle sense, so they called upon us. We accepted their terms and formed a joint military under their general control, known as the Earthguard. The Haegmonia were taken off guard by this unexpected move, and for some time the war became a fair fight. However, this was not to last. The Earthguard could not produce an effective fleet at the same rate as the Haegmonia since the technologies aquired from the Elders were still not fully understood by human engineers, so decisive action was needed. The plan put forward was known as the Farshot Campaign, and audacious step to use the 4th and smallest of the Earthguard fleets to blitz through the enemy lines and conduct operations there with relative free reign. The First Strike was a success, but a limited one. The Athena, constructor flagship of the 4th fleet ran sorties for two months before being forced out of Haegmonia space by overwhelming forces. Heavy losses were sustained, but fleet command felt the mission had been successful enough to try again. Once more the Athena would be sent in, armed with new ship designs and technology supplied by the Elders, to cause as much trouble as possible and push as far into enemy territory as feasible while the other fleets kept the majority of the Haegmonian forces busy.

It is time for the Second Strike.




4th Fleet of the Earthguard Armada

12 ‘Lynx’ Strike Frigate (3 Available to play)
The Lynx is built around a central Medium Mass Driver, which enables it to actually take on large vessels when operating in groups. 2 Laser Cannons and a 1 Standard Missile Battery complete its firepower. However, all this slows it considerably at sublight, though its FTL speed and armour remains unaffected.

15‘Jaguar’ Class Anti-Fighter Frigate (1 Reserved by Flaag, 2 Available to play)
An old hull given new life by the Athena’s techys, the Jaguar has been converted to utilize a Needlemissile Battery, a first for a ship of its size as well as 2 Light Mass Drivers and 2 Pulse Laser Cannons. This of course makes it highly suited to protecting other capital ships, since it can destroy enemy missiles and fighters with relative ease.

17 ‘Wildcat’ Class Combat Frigate (3 Available to play)
The most common ship in the Earthguard, yet actually its newest design. The Wildcat has 2 Pulse Laser Cannons, 2 Laser Cannon and 1 Standard Missile Battery, as well as the usual speed associated with the frigate class and the corresponding thin hull. However, they are ideally suited to their multiple roles of anti fighter and small vessel assaults.

14 ‘Tiger’ Class Lance Frigate (0 Available to play)
Following the nomenclature of all fighting frigates, the Tiger replaces the old lancer frigate with a much more powerful design based around a central Heavy Ion Beam with 2 Light Ion Beams supporting and 2 Pulse Laser Cannons for general defense. While slow at sublight for its size, the heavy firepower and fast FTL speed of all frigates makes up for this. It is designed to stand off from the fighting and let the workhorses do the brunt of the fighting, while pounding large targets of opportunity with ion fire. It does this very efficiently.

2 ‘Panther’ Class Stealth Frigate (1 Reserved by Crazyboy)
The Panther, after seeing only limited service late in the First Strike, has still not become a mass produced ship. This is because though its stealth coating makes it virtually invisible to sensors, its light armour and armament of 1 Light Mass Driver, 2 Laser Cannon and 1 Missile Battery make it unsuitable for front line fighting. However, it can prove useful on infiltration and stealth missions for the same reasons. The stealth system does not make the ship invisible, merely almost impervious to sensors, though occasionally this can go wrong. Also, if the stealth coating becomes chipped (i.e. via weapons fire) the stealth system will be highly impaired.

6 ‘Jenner’ Class Medical Frigate (0 Available to play)
As its name suggests, this is a medical frigate, used to ferry casualties about and provide treatment. In larger groups, these are seen often. Since they operate in a combat zone, Jenners have been equipped with a single Laser Cannon.

4 ‘Sparkler’ Class Technical Frigate (0 Available to play)
Sparklers contain squads of repair technicians. While they have only recently come into service, they have proved invaluable in providing repairs when and where they are required, quickly. They are armed with 2 Pulse Laser Cannons.


9 ‘Cougar’ Class Combat Destroyer (1 Reserved by Lady Hawk, 1 Reserved by Ryon Jkar)
The Cougar has been around for a long time, and even with its recent refit, little has changing in its compliment of 1 Heavy Mass Driver, 2 Medium Mass Drivers, 2 Pulse Laser Cannons, 3 Laser Cannons, 2 Heavy Laser Cannons and 3 Standard Missile Batteries. She is still the workhorse of the fleet, adapted for pretty much any role possible and able to fight any class effectively. Of course, this non-specialist status can be a drawback on occasion, but for the most part her good balance of armour, firepower and speed provides a useful lead ship for small groups or a key craft in larger ones.

8 ‘Gunmetal’ Class Lance Destroyer (0 Available to play)
Again replacing an older lance class, the Gunmetal has a large compliment of 2 Heavy Ion Beams 4 Light Ion Beams, 2 Laser Cannons, 2 Heavy Laser Cannons and 3 Standard Missile Batteries. A competent design, it has average speed and maneuverability and fights in a similar way to the smaller Lynx, but with somewhat better close defence. It still will go down quickly without cover, but in the right circumstances it is the most deadly threat to capital ships around.

6 ‘Century’ Class Heavy Destroyer (1 Reserved by Phang)
Most officers concur that the Century has earned its name, since despite its 2 Light Ion Beams, 1 Heavy Mass Driver, 2 Medium Mass Drivers, 2 Laser Cannons, 2 Heavy Laser Cannons, 1 Needlemissile Battery and 2 Standard Missile Batteries, the general systems are a mess of old technology spliced with random new sections that makes it a devil to repair or refit. That said, it has the sheer power to tackle most vessels, and has moderate speed in HyperDrive and sublight for its size. The heavy destroyer class is yet to prove itself, but this prototype could be the start of a new line of ship designs.


5 ‘Neptune’ Class Strike Cruiser (1 Reserved by Inspectre)
The only cruiser built upon an entirely new hull, the Neptune is meant to hit big ships fast with its large quantities of Mass Drivers. Its weaponry consists of 4 Medium Mass Drivers, 3 Heavy Mass Drivers, 4 Laser Cannons, 4 Heavy Laser Cannons, 1 Needlemissile Battery and 2 Standard Missile Battery. The Neptune is surprisingly quick and nimble at sublight for her size, and is widely regarded as the most technologically advanced cruiser in the fleet, if not the most heavily armed. The Neptune’s advanced comms system and low maintenance systems make her one of the most sort after positions around due to a balance of power, speed and logistics that most of the other ship classes fail to achieve. Her shields and slow HyperDrive speeds remain characteristic of the cruiser class.

5 ‘Mercury’ Class Patrol Cruiser (1 Available to play)
The mainstay of the fleet is back, with an updated design, intended to allow maximum flexibility. Though the Mercury’s hull remains unchanged, its new loadout of 4 Light Ion Beams, 2 Medium Mass Drivers, 3 Pulse Laser Cannons, 2 Laser Cannons, 1 Heavy Laser Cannons, 2 Needlemissile Batteries and 3 Standard Missile Batteries should make it one of the Earthguards most useful assets once more. As with all cruiser level craft, she has shields and both her FTL and sublight speeds are moderate, often better than those of comparable enemy vessels.

As with the Mercury, the Mars is a refit of an older model, this time attaching 2 Heavy Mass Drivers, 3 Medium Mass Drivers, 4 Laser Cannons, 4 Heavy Laser Cannons, 2 Needlemissile Batteries and 5 Standard Missile Batteries to a heavily defended and shielded hull. As with its bigger brother the Jupiter, it is slow, but as with the Jupiter it can absorb a fair bit of fire before it goes down. Indeed the Mars performs very similarly to the Jupiter, but its armament is more suited to mid-long range than the Jupiter’s fully mid range platform.


2 ‘Jupiter’ Class Battle Cruiser (1 Reserved by No Dachi)
The Jupiter is the most dangerous vessel available to the 4th Fleet, and while other fleets might have battleships, the Jupiter is more than adequate for demolishing pretty much any target with its Plasma Detonation Cannon, 2 Light Ion Beams, 4 Heavy Mass Drivers, 3 Medium Mass Drivers, 2 Laser Cannons, 4 Heavy Laser Cannons, 3 Needlemissile Batteries and 4 Standard Missile Batteries. It is however, rather slow and lumbering, but with its thick armour and shields this usually doesn’t matter. It also has hangars for one squadron of strike craft.


3 ‘Imhotep’ Class Strike Carrier (1 Reserved by Fluffie)
The Imhotep is a new design, replacing the old line of carriers with a multipurpose unit able to lead any group of ships in either a support or attacking role. It can support up to 5 squadrons of fighters, bombers or assault craft, and is heavily armed with 2 Light Mass Drivers, 2 Medium Mass Driver, 3 Pulse Laser Cannons, 2 Laser Cannons, 3 Needlemissile Batteries and 2 Standard Missile Batteries. It has energy shields and her FTL speed is unmatched in large vessels. While as unmaneuverable as you might expect at sublight speeds, she is ideal for spearheading high speed missions upon the enemy.


MCF Athena, Construction Flagship of the Fleet
The Mobile Construction Factory Athena is a heavily armed base of operations for the entire fleet. Her internal smelters constantly convert raw materials into useful components that can be put together as repairs or new craft as necessary. Her armament can change from day to day, since power consumption varies massively. If a combat situation were anticipated though, rest assured that the Athena would acquit herself well. The MCF class also has the most powerful shields of any class yet encountered by the Earthguard or as far as is known, the Elders.


Strike Craft

Alpha – Light fighters carrying dual lasers, mainly for scouting and anti-fighter relations

Beta – Heavier and more multi-role, armed will both lasers and missiles and able to engage both fighters and capital ships with reasonable effectiveness.

Gamma – Carrying plasma bomb racks able to cause large damage to capital ships, these slow lumbering bombers can be highly effective, but need an escort in order to avoid being shot out of the sky.

Delta – Assault craft able to transport units of troops in both boarding actions and orbital drops. While faster than Gammas and with fairly heavy armour, they are unarmed and will be shredded by enemy fighters or anti-strikecraft weaponry.



Technology

Armour – Your basic run of the mill sheet metal. Of course, it’s been specially reinforced with all sorts of alloys, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to take too much of a beating.

Shields – Energy shields have the ability to absorb weapons fire up to a point, when they overload and can cause damage to the ship they’re mounted on. Also, fighters can penetrate shields and they are only useful against energy weapons.

Lasers – As you would expect, these energy beams cause moderate damage and are effective against all targets. They come in pulse, heavy and vanilla varieties.

Missile Batteries – These, again are as you expect. There are needlemissiles (used to intercept missiles and fighters), then just kind of run-of-the-mill guided explosive ones which cause a much larger amount of damage than basic beam guns, but can be intercepted and take a little time to reload.

Mass Drivers - Mass driver cannons are unaffected by shields due to not being energy weapons and fire metal rods coated in explosives and are mainly used for precision fire. Types are light, medium and heavy, where light is a form of anti missile/fighter defense.

Ion Beam Cannons – A serious danger to any large vessel. The heavy support weapon; very powerful, but take time to charge, and incapable of hitting the small, fast-moving ships. They are affected by shields, but not much with stand up to them for long.

Plasma Detonation Cannon - Produces a massive plasma explosion a set distance away from the gun. Highly inaccurate but very deadly.

Torpedoes - Torpedoes in Farshot are like extremely powerful missiles, but slower moving. The Haegemony already has them operational, but the Earthguard do not, often putting them at a disadvantage in large engagements, where the Haegmonia already has weight of numbers on their side.

HyperDrive – The Jump Drive of choice, being as it’s the only kind in existence.

GravWell Mines – These can be deployed along an enemy’s projected HyperWave path, and jerk them forcibly back into an area of normal space.

Comms – These only work across relatively short distances, and even then require comms buoys to relay the signal around interferences like asteroid fields or nebulae. Courier ships must be used to take messages from Fleet Command to Earth (for example) due to the sheer distance involved.

Char - Captain Jenna "Lady Hawk" Sarenndon

Lady Hawk is an average woman who does not stand out in a crowd - however she has an aura about ther that commands respecy from those who know her. She is well spoken and very rarely looses control. Those who know her and serve with her respect her.

She is one of the original Captains from the first FARSHOT campaign (if allowed cannot remeber the name of teh one i played in No Dachi's one) Disappointed by the fact that they were forced out from by the Enemy, she has now volunteered once more for the new Campaign, thanks to her experiance she was soon selected and the ship she Commanded the first time round - THE VANGAURD has now been refitted and whats more most of Lady Hawks command staff have been recalled to active duty.

History: Ryon and his crew, rather his first officer and several others have been together for what could possibly be his whole career. They all started out as trainees and then privates and they slowly moved up in rank. Now the worked under him and he commanded a Cougar Class Combat Destroyer.

Ever since he was little he wanted to command one, he saw a picture of a fleet when he was little and it sent chills through his spine as it does today everytime he walks into the bridge. His authority is iron hard and yet he has compassion for his men, the ideal commander. For that many respect his decisions and would walk into a battle weaponless and still expect to win under his command.

2 ‘Panther’ Class Stealth Frigate (1 Reserved by Crazyboy)
The Panther, after seeing only limited service late in the First Strike, has still not become a mass produced ship. This is because though its stealth coating makes it virtually invisible to sensors, its light armour and armament of 1 Light Mass Driver, 2 Laser Cannon and 1 Missile Battery make it unsuitable for front line fighting. However, it can prove useful on infiltration and stealth missions for the same reasons. The stealth system does not make the ship invisible, merely almost impervious to sensors, though occasionally this can go wrong. Also, if the stealth coating becomes chipped (i.e. via weapons fire) the stealth system will be highly impaired.

An old hull given new life by the Athena’s techys, the Jaguar has been converted to utilize a Needlemissile Battery, a first for a ship of its size as well as 2 Light Mass Drivers and 2 Pulse Laser Cannons. This of course makes it highly suited to protecting other capital ships, since it can destroy enemy missiles and fighters with relative ease.
History: Triolus joined the military a few years before the arrival of the elders, but was one of the first to get used to the new technologies they brought. With his early skills in the new weapons he quickly rose through the ranks to Lt. Comm., proving himself in many battles on the way. His favoured weapons are the mass drivers and the lasers, especially the vanilla one.
His crew have been hand piced by him, formed almost entirely from people he trained with, or rescued from their own ships.

Served on a main carrier type of thing as Captain first and was 'test-captain' on one of the first Stealth and/or Torpedo frigates around, responsible for destroying a Heagomania test/research station or something (thread ended before I got to finish that stuff )

History: Recently graduated from the academy, Bakan was originally in charge of a small frigate. During a patrol they were attacked by hostile forces. Bakan, despite being outnumbered and outgunned, was able to destroy the hostile forces, and save his crew at the cost of his ship. Fleet command decided to place him in charge of one of the Mars class ships in the new Farshot campaign.

Having been recognized as a 'silent runner' early on, he was approached upon graduation for a special assignment with a Panther class frigate. He gladly accepted it. After the rigorous training he and his new crew were put under, they were sent through the toughest live fire stealth tests, and they passed with flying colors.

She was fast, agile and armed very well. Having not participated in the first Farshot Campaign, Duke and the Dawn were both ready for action. Duke wanted to test out this new ship since it had never seen battle before due to the fact that at that time it was being refitted with new weapons.

This briefing is certified as to be from Admiral Takena Kincade, commander of the MCF Athena and master of the 4th Fleet of the Earthguard. Location of transmission is 1 lightyear from the edge of Haegmonian territory, Revastus Nebulae.

Message Begins...

This is Admiral Kincade, reporting to Earthguard Command. We are now less than a day from commencing operations. The Athena's production factories have been hard at work creating and maintaining the new fleet makeup that we intend to use when we arrive at the first target system. The eventual decision was to attack the listening and research outpost at Breaker Epsilon. The asteroid based facillity there has been determined to have every resource we need to support our operations for several months at the very least. It is also well within the blanket of the Revastus Nebulae, so it should be difficult for Haegmonian forces to locate our base. Our initial plan is to clear out all hostile forces in the area, then take control of the base. In order to prevent couriers from revealing what has happened to the Breaker Epsilon base, we will be deploying a field of GravWell mines, preventing any HyperWpace jumps as soon as we arrive. While we remain unsure of the enemy force's makeup, I feel confident that our own vessels can eliminate enough resistance if we commit completely to the battle. Further reports will be sent when possible and appropriate. I also include a detailed report into some of our key captains, for tactical analysis. I may later be using this to recommend promotions or honours. I trust they will be credited accordingly.

Lieutenant Commander Richard 'Crazyboy' Sharpe

Background: Crazy served in the previous Farshot campaign, in charge of a destroyer/cruiser class vessel. His ship, along with another, got hit by a Heagmonia weapon and were sent hurtling deep into Heagmonia space. After causing some trouble behind their lines, he somehow managed to escape back to Earth territory. With his experiance at acting behind enemy lines, Crazy opted to transfer to a stealth ship. When he heard about a second strike at the Heagmonia, he immeditly signed on.

Lieutenant Commander 'Inspectre'
Ship Name: Liberty
Class: Neptune Class Strike Cruiser
Background: John Caspian commanded a Mercury class patrol cruiser during the first Farshot campaign. Shortly after the campaign began, he was reassigned to the-then experimental Stealth Frigate project, and commanded one of the prototype Panther frigates until the end of hte campaign. He was quick to volunteer when he heard about the second Farshot campaign, and this time was transfered to one of the Neptune Strike Cruisers.

Lieutenant Commander Jorge Sanchez
Ship Name: Merrimack
Class: Lynx Class Strike Frigate
Background: The ever-classic womanizer, Jorge was living the high life on Earth. However, his popularity decreased remarkably after the success of the first Farshot campaign, and the ladies flocked to Earthguard crewers . Ship Name: Valkyrie
History: Crazy served in the previous Farshot campaign, in charge of a destroyer/cruiser class vessel. His ship, along with another, got hit by a Heagmonia weapon and were sent hurtling deep into Heagmonia space. After causing some trouble behind their lines, he somehow managed to escape back to Earth territory. With his experiance at acting behind enemy lines, Crazy opted to transfer to a stealth ship. When he heard about a second strike at the Heagmonia, he immeditly signed on.

History: John Caspian commanded a Mercury class patrol cruiser during the first Farshot campaign. Shortly after the campaign began, he was reassigned to the-then experimental Stealth Frigate project, and commanded one of the prototype Panther frigates until the end of hte campaign. He was quick to volunteer when he heard about the second Farshot campaign, and this time was transfered to one of the Neptune Strike Cruisers.

Mission Briefing, Farshot Campaign, Second Strike: Day 1

Operation Returning Wrath

This tactical combat briefing is certified as to be from Admiral Takena Kincade, commander of the MCF Athena and master of the 4th Fleet of the Earthguard. Location of transmission is 0.6 lightyears from the edge of Haegmonian territory, Revastus Nebulae.

*The briefing room was packed out. The Athena's tactical command room was meant to hold about thirty people, but somehow over fifty had been packed in. All the captains and their XOs, the top support personnel, intelligence men, fleet officers and finally, Admiral Takena Kincade. Though of asian decent, the Admiral had been born in what was once known as England, and considered it his adoptive country. He stood at the head of the holographic briefing table that took up a large portion of the room. Though the room was full to bursting, somehow Kincade had more than an arm's distance between him and anyone else. He had a commanding personality. One cough brought the room to silence.

You all know why you're here. I don't need to explain how important what we're about to start is, so I'll get straight to the point. Operation Returning Wrath should present us with a base of operations for enough time to cause havoc behind the lines. We will reach the target in fourteen hours, and the at that point the other fleets will attack the front lines with everything they have, drawing as many forces away from the rear as possible. These past few weeks we've been hiding in this ion nebulae, taking to long way round to avoid enemy patrols. Soon we'll be able to put our training into practice, and this is how we've going to do it. Quartermaster?

*The head supply officer, a young hispanic woman by the name of Anna Dragolin stepped up and accessed the holo-projector. Various specs flashed up, including a list of the 4th fleet's ships and the plans for a large bomb-like device.*

We'll be deploying a large field of GravWell mines during this operation. It is essential that not even a single Haegmonian vessel escapes from the outpost to report what has happened. While the Revastus Nebulae disrupts long range comm systems, there is still the danger of a courier reporting our little takeover. There is also likely to be substantial defensive forces in-system, possibly up to battle cruiser size if our advance intelligence people are right. It is also unsure what the asteroid base might have in the way of defences. Despite this, we will not be deploying the entire fleet, for the Athena is far too valuable to be risked in open combat this early. Thus, three quarters of the fleet will be used, with the remainder defending the MCF until both the Breaker Epsilon asteroid base and the entire Gharis system is secured. Admiral, I'll leave you to explain tactics since that's your area of expertise.

Thank you Quartermaster. We will be dividing 4th fleet into four separate groups, with subdivisions in each. One will be assigned to guard the Athena at 0.5 lightyears out. They are unlikely to be in any danger, but this measure ought to ensure the safety of the fleet's basic infrastructure. A second will be dedicated to the deploying and maintaining of the GravWell mines. The third and fourth will be the main combat branches, one geared towards eliminating any close defence on the Breaker Epsilon asteroid and then taking it over with marines before the Haegmonians can self destruct it, or otherwise make it unusable. The other will run cover for the other two and be a dedicated ship killer colour squadron. Of course, all ships will be free to engage enemy forces as and when appropriate as well. Besides that, all that's left is to give you the unit rosters. After that, feel free to voice any questions you might have, or if you feel your talents might be more useful in a different squadron do speak up, I can be flexable with assignments up to a point.

Richard smiled as he read down the unit rooster and spotted his name. Him and his crew of the Valkyrie had an important role, on one of the harder missions. This would be a good challenge. Already plans on how to secure the asteroid facility were rushing through his mind. He had already picked out a few likely plans, and they all required something which he felt his highly trained Dragoon's lacked at the moment. He managed to get out the squeeze of commanders looking over the rooster list.

"Sir. I'd like to make a request. I'll require a few of our best technicians for this mission, if I'm to take the asteroid base relitivly intact."

Eath: Perhaps meh post wasn't clear. You're supposed to board any enemy ship that gives you the chance (by slowing down, being disabled etc.), and if there are any problems during the battle that require a sneaky ship such as yourself, you'll be reassigned to solve (i.e. fix) them.

Crazy: You get your techies. I'll say so in the proper post too (in character if you will) when others have posted.

How many strike craft/bombers/assault craft are jumping with Yellow and under whose control are they? I assume under the carriers' control, since they are the ships best outfitted to control larger numbers of fighters etc.?

In other words - will I have other fighters under my control other than those aboard meh carrier?

Fluffie: 15 Squadrons. 10 are Deltas, 5 Gammas. They will be assigned jobs as appropriate, but the flagship's Captain is in overall control. He might lease some out to you if you ask nicely

Eath: Honestly I don't know what the number SHOULD be (since ND isn't about, to ask), but I'm going to say 50 for now.

Duke looked at the roster. "Lets see.... blue squad....hmmm....Dawn....where is it.....ah here we go." He thought as he searched for the role of his ship in the rosters. "Lets see here.... ooo this should be fun...'Do not let any ship leave the system'.... that should be fun and easy." he thought. Duke turned away and started toward the docking port of the Appocalypse Dawn. He looked out at his fairly new Mercury class Patrol Cruiser. Then his radio buzzed to life.

"Lt. Commander and Captain of the AD, Duke, are you there?"
"Oh shut up and stop mocking me you dumb jerk."Duke replied. His XO, Lt. Ryan Fulcorn, was always teasing him about everything, including rank. "I could always haul off an space you."
"This is true, but then who would you boss around and have run your ship?" he replied smuggly.
"Good point..." was all Duke could respond.
"So captain, my captain, what are we to do?"
"Well according to the rosters, we get to do police work for the mining squad. Our ship is in charge of who stays and who goes in the sector, mainly our staying and their going....straight to hell."
"Alright we get to shoot stuff up!" replied Fulcorn very excited.
"I'll be on the ship in a few moments, just need to take care of one or two things."
"Aye Captain, we'll be ready for you."

(ooc/ do i get to lead some smaller ships if i need them? so evil ships dont escape)

In the formation of the blue squadron many gunmetal-gray ships floated through the vicinity, they moved like slow lumbering giants, filled with a wrath like none other. In the middle of the formation one ship stood out. As you get closer, the giant is indentified as a Cougar Class

Inside the bridge Ryon studied the mission parameters with a certain intensity that would scare a lot of crew mates, had they not had to deal with Ryon's mind before. His eyes flashed and he spun toward the officers.

"Alright, our mission is to protect the larger ships and the mine layers. I want scanners fully on and activated, I want to know about every single movement out there. This is our first mission and I don't even want one scratch on anyone in this squadron."

"Sir, Yes Sir" They spoke in unison as they all quickly moved away to dispatch the orders.

Number One moved next to Ryon and spoke, "Scanners should be online shortly sir and our battle readiness is at full. If any one challenges us, they wouldn't stand a chance even if their gods fought the battle for them. We shall be victorious sir."

"That's what I like to hear, Morgan. Keep me posted"
