Subversion

Does anyone else have trouble with the phrase subversion (the act of subverting)? I do, I read it as the popular product used for version control. Ie, with the emphasis on the first syllable rather than the second in the case of subverting.

It gets my goat.

[edit: Kloopy should learn to use board codes]

Re: Subversion

It's a serious point. If we are making changes to combat for round 13, can we please consider renaming subverting to "temporary ship stealing-esque combat techniques"

Exclamation Re: Subversion

I think I suggested the name 'subversion' to Spinner and I think it's a perfectly fine name--relatively obscure software packages notwithstanding.

Yeah that rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it?

With any luck, subversion will soon be gone (and not just renamed).

Re: Subversion

Well tbh i beleive zik was ruined when you took the stealing ability away, but thats just my point of view.. as zik isnt zik anymore without you actually being able to take the ships not just 'borrow' them

Re: Subversion

I posted that from work, Bashar. Where, I hope, I wasn't drunk. I think it's your influence on me forcing lots of alcohol into my system having the effect of killing off most of my thinking brain and sanity. Thus, this post is your fault.

Heh. Hope work is going well and you're not doing too much! Finished Christmas shopping yet?
