During the beta we had the following score formula:
score = XP*60+value

with XP for roiding= (roidsgained^1.5)*((targetvalue/attackervalue)^2)/2

I have two questions:
1. What changed to ensure that we don't get a 200k value planet to be #1?
(plz be more specific than 'there is a cap')
(This is the answer I need to answer the question: Is it worth risking an attack on the #1 planet (in value), should I bash noobs or target people my own size?)

2. Do you get score for destroying structures (if so how much)? I heared people claim you get loads of score for it while the manual says you don't.
(Is it worth it to build structure killers?)

And I suppose this applies to covert ops as well, if of course Gerbie is correct?

I'm quite sure you get score for destroying a structure with cov ops.

According to a reliable source the new formula is like this:
combat xp = targetvalue/yourvalue * roids
the ratio is capped

So if you take 100 roids from someone twice your value you get 200 XP = 12k score.
I don't know what the cap is though.

From what I've heared the cap is at a value ratio of 2.

Ow, and I'd like to add that it seems like Spinner did a good job at the formula for once.

I did a little attack today. Score-Value increased ~200k while I gained ~200 roids. (The target was ~50% bigger than me.) The formula doesn't explain the score increase I got.

Did the score you get for XP increase (was 60 during the beta) or is there a ^1.5 factor calculated over the roids you gain?

IMO building str killerz is a waste of resources, doesnt matter if you get or not score for doing that, but in the case you get some its "empty" score, means nothing, i rather like score because of my fleet value than score because i killed some structures. Anyway, you cant attack with structures so why bother building structure killerz

That's a bit shortsighted. Score you gain from killing structures (if any), can't be lost etc. And loosing 20% of your structures is quite painfull. Trust me, if your factories die, it slows you down. Structure killers aren't interesting if you are "just roiding random galaxies", but since you are LCH (according to your nick), you should be fighting a war for the #1 spot. And for attacking real enemies, structure killers can be handy.
