More views than one

Hi, there are more views than one. There is the threaded mode, and in that mode my posts are not right after each other. I recommend it, it's a great way to not read the posts of people you don't like and also see who responded to you. In any case I will continue to use this mode and if it turns out my posts stack up in linear view you'll just have to deal with it.

Re: More views than one
Someone told me to check out this thread because it was the best thread on the internet.
Obviously you have to read it in threaded mode to understand how ace it is.
Edit: Yeah I checked it out in threaded mode guys and it's something else.

Re: More views than one
If threaded mode is the default, then it can work quite nicely in forums, but when most (I'd guess at least a significant number, anyway) of people just use the 'post reply' button at the bottom, or pick a random post to reply to (I know I do unless I'm quoting...) then I can't really see it working.

Re: More views than one
Threaded mode doesn't really work on forums like this. It's OK elsewhere (e.g. Slashdot) where you've got a wider user base and less "known" users.
edit : Also threaded view is redundant when vbForums (and their ilk) have such excellent "quoting" features.

I often view the forums from the other side of the room to enhance my forum experience.

i agree with the general consensus that threaded view is utterly gay and there really is no excuse for it.

Re: More views than one
Dill pickle? Crazy talk.
Incidentally it's fantastic. Beef just falls to bits on its own, there's some potato in there to take the edge off the shit-tonne of madras paste that went into the thing and it's delightfully thick. Go team.

Has anyone else here seen "All Grown Up", a Nickelodeon cartoon featuring the Rugrats as preteens?

Re: More views than one
Nickelodeon used to have some well good shows, Clarissa Explains It All, Sister Sister, Alex Mac, the list goes on. Now that was cutting edge TV.

Re: More views than one
Was there any corpse 'interference'? There was never enough molestation of the dead on Nick.
On a side note, when young I sent a letter to that Disney show thing that used to be on in the mornings on a Saturday to see if i could get onto the audience, but accidentally sent it to Aigburth, Liverpool instead of Edinburgh. Even with the ****ing post-code I didn't get a reply, though it's entirely possible I wrote the letter in yellow crayon and didn't include a return address so you know both parties were at fault.
