She's gonna cum all over the place.
That's the idea I got while looking at your post.

Re: Mount St. Helens...
It's going to be dull, it won't be as big as 1980 and will be lucky if anything get's past the rim of the mountain.
HOWEVER, if this triggers all teh mountains in the cascade region or is actually just a cough from another one nearby like Mt Ranier actually getting ready to blow then that'd be fun.
However this is just a short sharp reminder that another 4 years of bush and mother nature promises you more of the same.

Heh, Mother Nature meets the Old Testament. Will the two anachronisms cancel each other out?

Re: Mount St. Helens...
yes, yesterday afternoon around 3pm EDT she blew off some steam...I should have mentioned that seeing as no one had yet...but they're now saying that there's a decent chance she'll blow again in the near future

Re: Mount St. Helens...
SomethingAwful has excellent coverage of this on their GBS forums, courtesy of the fact one of their posters is a seismologist with a university near the area. Lots of extremely neat URL's I can't be arsed reposting here.
What interested me the most though is the stuff about the Yellowstone Caldera.

Re: Mount St. Helens...
Maybe if you want such good coverage of a volcano you should go live in one? Did you think about that?

My friend actually lives next door to the volcano and gave me a really interesting summary of what's been happening, but I can't tell you about it because it's a secret.

One of those who died was local celebrity 84-year-old Harry Truman. The former president's namesake had consistently refused to leave his motel at the foot of the mountain beside Spirit Lake.
He stayed with his 16 cats and 18 racoons while about 2,000 people were evacuated from the area in the last few weeks as the mountain threatened to blow.
