For all you NHL fans out there
the World Cup of Hockey started today...Finland is currently leading Czech Republic 1-0 withe 16:30 to go in the 2nd.

I suggest you watch this tournament until its end on the 14th, cuz it may be all we see of the NHL players until next year :\

I got NHL - Eastside Hockey Manager as a freebie and sold it on Ebay without opening it.

This gives you an idea of how far my interest in Ice Hockey goes.

I hate football...and I don't believe I've ever announced when it was starting. As for the ice hockey, I am simply giving a heads up for the people that care (hence the thread title), and I assume you are not a fan, so get out of my thread ta.

well Deffeh..the collective bargaining agreement doesn't expire until the 15th of September, at which time the NHL team owners will lock out the players thus effectively cancelling the season...or at least the first half of it anyways. Negotiations for the new agreement seem to be going nowhere...which doesn't look good if you want to see the NHL season start as scheduled in October. I have heard talk of the season beginning in January and only being 40 games or so. Myself and millions of other fans are collectively holding our breath, hoping that the season starts on time...but that still remains to be seen.

Oh, and it's now 4-0 Finland in the 3rd
