Megatron was hilarious in the original comics, I had iisues 1-100 but threw them away when I was 'growing up'.
I don't see why they can't make a proper movie with todays effects.

It'll be hard for anyone to bring back the magic of when we were children.
That's because we aren't children anymore, for the most part at least.
And writers / producers are shit.
