Yes, but that doesn't show us that you're not sh*t. I wouldn't be talking of crumble if my alliance was dropping members like ASS is, all looking very demerera over your side of the fence.

What's hirr's opinion of this 4 alliance power block? I don't like it, and I say let's do something to go against it.

I sure as hell think it's a pussy thing to do and am trying to prod my fellow HCs to decide what we are going to do about it Hopefully something, but we're also very lazy people, so who knows. Sometimes we come up with awesome plans but lack any sort of followthrough. We're a giant cocktease

Re: hirr politics
hirr is announcing that we are standing with Ascendancy and ROCK in the battle against their current overwhelming enemies. It is our feeling that this "powerblock" is "lame" and thus we have NAP'ed ROCK and Ascendancy.
At this time hirr is still deciding on how it will approach this action offensively, but what is for certain is that CT/ND/VGN/Omen will soon be on the receiving end of lemming incoming! Our ships my be small and few in comparison, but they know not fear, they cannot be demoralized or broken, and they will fight their new enemies to the last man!
We look forward to seeing everyone on the cliffs!

Re: hirr politics
hirr did not consider any salvage "donations" when selecting the lemmingrun target. Target selection was done as in previous rounds (r3-10 iirc): someone caught our eye during the round, by annoying the lemmings with fleets or by how he played the game.
The single reason we had for hitting who we hit was the silly amount of resources in production. Most of us consider hiding production a stupid "feature" of the current incarnation of PA, so we decided to see if we could flush it out. We made our statement in the same way we used to do in the previous rounds hirr played PA.
This is not an apology, it's just a short reminder of how hirr plays PA for those that weren't around in the early rounds.

Re: hirr politics
Yeah, greenhills is still tops for Round Thefts, er victories, because no-one saw it coming. Imagining the look on Kileman's face when the final tick happened still makes me smile when I'm reminded of it. As for this round, there is still some talk of appealing to the multihunters but assuming nothing is changed (on balance I'm not convinced the donation rule was technically broken) then congrats to eksero. He abused his alliance to the max in search of a personal goal and he achieved it with just a dash of last minute luck. If it was anyone but VgN I would say shame on him but as a counterbalance to their jihadist mentality this round his win is almost poetic.

We didn't donate anything.
Donation implies that the reason to launch at him was giving him salvage. That was not the case. We attacked someone that used the hidden production "feature" to the extreme because we don't like that part of the game. Then we died. Happens at times, not all attacks are a success
Now I'm off to enjoy the sun

hirr plays for one reason, for fun. We don't care about winning, who wins, or what alliance they are a part of.
Someone had to be the target of the lemmingrun. Our choice of target has remained consistant with previous rounds.

actually, you launched with the intention of no ship returning. That means that you are giving away 30% of your value to someone else. I do not see how you can forget that. Also you want to 'make a point' that hiding resources is 'silly', therefore you reward him?
It all sounds like you didnt actually meant this to happen but are covering up your silly action now.

I quite liked how the gloating and arrogance subsided so suddenly in terms of your attitude to your gal mates and the rest of PA. Its quite apt that Asc should get screwed over for top planet by their "friends" who they probably even helped point towards the target in the first place, ofc now that it failed you won't be taking responsibility for this.

Re: hirr politics
Unless you think keeping more value in prod than you have out is good for your alliance? Or never, ever attacking your alliances main enemy for the whole round? Don't get me wrong, I don't think what he did was objectionable in any way, but it definitely wasn't what was in VgN's best interest.
ie. if I was stuck in an alliance of lunatics and I still wanted a good planet I would keep my head down too.

We knew what might happen, we debated on adjusting tactics to try to minimize the effect, but in the end we were unwilling/too lazy to change.
Like I said, someone had to be the target. Our only sadness with the run was that the defense was weak on anti-fi and anti-fr, so some people have more than half their fleet returning home, but otherwise we had an awful lot of fun

This explains what happened to Quug's CO/BS fleet.
And VenoX, I find it ridiculously unlikely that anyone in Asc actually suggested hirr lemming run on eksero. There's a difference between roiding a planet like that with half the fleets in Asc and Rock (as happened earlier) and hitting it with a defendable but still substantial attack fleet as hirr did. As far as I'm aware, Asc hoped/expected the run to be on OlaTa, and when that failed to materialise, had no real idea where it was going. A lemming run always donates value, so why would anyone recommend it happens at a hostile planet?
Your post seems like a sad attempt at placing the blame on Asc, when in fact hirr are more than culpable for their own actions. There's nothing Asc could've done about it, short of defending eksero themselves. Of course, had they done so, I'm sure they'd have been investigated for farming.

Re: hirr politics
Tommy speaks the truth. Asc had no say in the target. They tried asking us who it would be, but we never told them. The target had mostly been decided for a few weeks by now anyway.
we understand Asc's displeasure. Unfortunately for them, the fun of hirr members comes before the desires of even a friendly alliance

well imo its perfect to show PA Crew how dumb the production hiding thing is
and i am thankful for what hirr did (yes i hope PA Crew now sees their mistake, though i am probably wrong)
though someone will win the round now, who shouldnt deserve it, and i could imagine a lot of better players to win a round
then again this all shows in what bad shape PA is
you don´t need to be the best player to win, you just need to hide your production, find a alliance which will not kick you for it and pnap as many as possible, while you roid the semi-actives
well done eksero, your the pride of PA !
p.s. why didnt asc stop him as them spotted him beeing able to come close, if they roided him 2 weeks ago, even this donation wouldnt have helped him

Because we wanted to win the alliance rankings, not flagship someone to #1.
This does highlight the production hiding thing, and also the ridiculous levels of salvage this round. 2 birds with 1 stone, possibly.

Re: hirr politics
Sadly enough, round winners often are selected from within the group of players that manage to build high enough fence. eksero's fence wasn't high enough this round as asc won (earlier than most anticipated). However lucky for him, hirr's donation army chose 1 of the round's best fencers and via the unbelievably insane salvage system some stats generator had implement for the round, eksero had the the window to exploit the opportunity presented to him and took the best of willing donators.
There are simply so many flaws in current PA mechanisms that I cba'ed to start listing. I merely wonder how people keep playing the game round after round when PA is lightyears behind what it used to be at best.

Don't be retarded, elviz was ahead by about 1 mil score before this happened.
I'd like to quote from pateam themselves on this topic.

Now the decision taken by the multihunters here is that there was a realistic chance at the time of launch that the attackers could gain something from this. Fair enough 40 mil value was launched and if eksero got no defence the wave could have landed (I'm pretty much paraphrasing fiery here).
Reasonably speaking then I (or perhaps it'd need to be someone not in ascendancy) could organise 4/5 waves on elviz which as long as they maxcapped would be allowed to land and end up donating him shitloads of salvage because the attackers just didn't "happen to" or "feel like" pulling. Now, what exactly is to stop me doing this? Can I ask the bottom 40 members of the ascendancy tag to leave and we all attack elviz, he ends up gaining 3 mil value in salvage and that's actually acceptable? I mean if that rule doesn't apply in this case what ****ing scenario does it actually apply in?

Hm. I think the clear situation is here is that hirr clearly didn't do it with the intent of raising eksero's score. And to be honest, if we apply the letter of the law, hirr can't realistically do a lemming run - ever.
I think if we're being fair the lemming run should stand. The situation you outline with the Ascendancy tag shows clear intent to boost someone's score. If an alliance decided to deliberately boost someone's score by crashing to deny another person the win out of spite/bitterness, I would consider that to be cheating also as that's deliberately going out to alter the ranking. I'd wager the fact that hirr launched this attack as a lemming run is a 'sufficient reason' to justify it standing.
And to be honest, eksero is hardly the only beneficiary from mass crashing. While you have every right to be frustrated I think fair's fair here unfortunately.

It doesn't mention anything about intentions. Nothing whatsoever. It talks about the chances of the attack actually landing.

What you describe are willing and knowledgeable actions. I would not assign these attributes to the Lemmings of hirr. They chose. They went. They died. What the consequences are of this, is for the universe to know.
I like their style

I would say the fact you need a "sufficient reason" would suggest that intent can very much be under consideration when the MH is looking for a justification to let the attack stand or be struck out.
