Problems with CM4 Slowing Down?
This is not a recommended idea for anyone who considers themselves an "Idiot" around computers. It will also most likely cause your PC to crash if youre using Win2K Pro. However
Go to "Task Manager"
Go to "Processes"
Right Click on CM4.Exe
Change Priority to "High" or "Realtime"
Your CM4 will now run massively quicker. However everything else will run like crap, so dont bother trying to open IE windows , or talk on IRC , etc etc.
Best used when playing CM4 and being OFFLINE.

What's with all the threads about "CM4", and noone even mentioning what it's supposed to be..?

Yeah I tried upping the priority on teh day of release when it was running painfully slow. Started at above normal thne high. Both worked a treat. Then I tried Real Time and it killed my machine, stop responding to anything

Real time WILL kill the system, because it allocates system resources to the program until it doesn't need any more.
It's only really useable for video/audio applications.

CM4 apparently is a new variation/upgrade etc.....of a Football Management Game.
Championship Manager 4.
The previous incarnations being 1 to 3 (I presume?)
Anyway the gist of it is, a game where you use your leet footballing manager skills to buy, sell, borrow players, set stratedgy for the team, run virtual matches against other "Teams" in the hope that you will achieve greatness in a Virtual Football League, eventually having risen from the Conferance League to win the Premiership etc.............
Included in the game are various tweaks you can make to your team/players which include skill levels, aggresion, defensive or attacking play etc............
Having watched my Son mess around with it for a few years, I dont particularly find it that thrilling, but some people get a kick out of this sort of game, so each to their own as they say.
