ASP Problem

I am attempting to host a bulletin board (albeit a rather crap one) from my pc.

however ive got the thing set up and its working as well as it can work except for one minor problem.

Noone except me can actually register an account. The following error is supplied.

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.
/forums2/register.asp, line 67

NOW....
not being a total moron i googled the error and began reading all the crap about iis permissions etc. Ive moved the Database to the inetpub/wwwroot/db folder

ive given it full read/write access using IIS control panel etc. (both the file and the directory it resides in)

IT STILL WONT FECKING WORK AND ITS PISSING ME OFF SO MUCH IM GOING TO CRY.

suggestions?
