Where do i find this information?
I need the full spec of the Advent 3602 but cannot find the bugger anywhere.

anyone got suggestions or anyone who knows it?

need mobo support information ideally. (what speed agp is in it)

also what is currently the best gfx card performance wise without being overly expensive

i was looking at :

128Mb Asus *x8* AGP V9280STVD Superfast 600MHz Ti4 for 184 quid inc vat.



however something less but rather powerful would be nice...any suggestions?



p.s. i realise ive run over two of the forums here but i might as well ask in the same thread and not create more crap for you people to read....

Once you've got past the fact that they've completley scrambled the model name in a crap attempt to make sound as exciting as possible, the information you can get is this:
Its a Geforce4 Ti series (from the Ti4), it has 128Mb RAM (guess where I got that), it's an 8x AGP card (like all GF4 Ti's), and it's an Asus card (model number is V9280STVD).
If you go to Asus's website, you'll be able to find out WHAT Ti model it is (200,400, or 600), and see what cards by Asus are cheaper. Its a start, if you like the sound of the card.
The 600Mhz probably refers to the card's RAM speed, from which you could tell which model it was if you'd memorised the clock speeds for Geforce4's. Thankfully I have better things to do.

Yuk. Not a clue where you'd get the full specs, seeing as the stores are the only people that know them and they never seem inclined to let on. Maybe if you bugged one of thier moronic assistants enough they might fetch the "technical supervisor" or whatever they have (who would probably know less than the assistant, come to think of it).

bang for buck is the radeon 9000Pro, or 9500Pro. 2x,4x,8x it makes fk all difference, so dont worry about it.

He's right - when I put together my parents new system I put a 9000 Pro in it (my brother wanted to be able to play games decently) as it was cheaper than a geforce equiv, and my parents are cheapskates.

Works quite well, and has excellent TV out capabilities.
