#javascript
I imagine that most of you already have maxed your channel number limit, but if you haven't or if you like to help people or show off your skills, #javascript is open. #javascript now exists to help people with JavaScript, JScript, the w3's DOM 1-3, and ECMAv3 related questions. If you know javascript it would be nice of you to idle in here to help people who may have questions. Starting a channel is a slow process but with the right group of people it is possible. So please consider ideling and even helping once and awhile in #javascript.
Sincerely,
s|k

So, what's this JS channel like? Do you instantly kick out people who dare to mention HTML or PHP?

Well Nod, you have to admit JS has it's areas where it can be deployed better than other languages, like logic in browsers. It's just that these areas aren't very broad.
I feel that JS doesn't really deserve a channel of its own. I'd put it in a more generic channel like "webdevelopment" where also topics like HTML and CSS are handled.
Also, I don't think that a JS channel will pull much visitors simply because it isn't used that much.

Javascript is an ace tool for doing lots of client-side stuff. To be honest, it's the only viable one too.
I don't like coding it, but it's very useful sometimes!
