Round 9.5
As Spinner and co. finally located their brains, it seems we are going to have a new random round. What makes me ponder is wether or not the 'new' alliances organised for round 10 will participate and launch in round 9, or will they rather wait until round 10 launches?
It is certainly no secret that there are quite some 'projects' in production, which of those can make the deadline for round 9?
[edit] round 9.5 I meant, obviously [/edit]

Well, at least M&S won't win the round. Scum bags.

I just visited #helpdesk, it seems that round 9.5 is going to be a free round too, you don't read that in the announcement.

However, the current nr1 will have attained a unique record if he isn't dumped before Sunday. A very impressive one.

Yes I'm aware. I'd like to see him knocked off, but I'd rather he win it than the current #2 player.
The lesser of two evils.

May we, the unenlightened ones know which are the nicks / alliances behind the current top 10 players?

Well I saw plenty of his tactics last round, as to how he does so well all the time, and I'd probably prefer a more independant and honest player to win.
I'm not sure how similar his tactics have been this round, so I can't comment.
Winning PA twice though is a tremendous achievement.

Neglecting how terribly interesting I think this discussion is, it is however not the discussion I wanted, so it would be very welcomed if we could discuss all these new 'projects' instead of who is top 5 in the current dull universe.

I imagine that r9.5 could be a good test run for various new alliances, but the short length of time given to prepare for it might catch some of them out.
I don't think anyone will take r9.5 seriously in terms of results, I think it will hopefully be played purely for fun.

I don't think anyone should take any round seriously in terms of results. It reminds me a touch of running around with no clothes on worrying where your toothbrush is. It may be a worthwhile consideration but you're ignoring something a shade more vital.

What I mean is that failure in r9.5 should not be taken as a measure of alliance quality. If a new alliance starts out in r9.5 and does badly, they should be able to see it simply as a test run, a chance to try out new things and get themselves ready.
Alliances these days tend to be fragile things, and failure in their first round often leads to disbandment. Failure in r9.5 should not lead to the same conclusion, and this is a good thing.

oh yes and btw since (and I can't belive this hasn't been said yet) This round is finishing early I take it there will be no offical winners for rnd 9 since VOM clearly have an "ace in the hole" yet to be announced that we'll never get to see now

Without wanting to insult your intelligence Jester, I think he points to r8 where no clear winners were announced since the round ended abrubtly. Making that comparison is quite inaccurate however, but you know that.

I believe 9.5 will be a good test run for new alliances...as well as old, but especially the new ones. If they fail, they can just see it as a test and change things as needed for rd 10.
As for the alliances that were going to announce themselves for round 10....hm, I wonder also if they wil still wait or go ahead for 9.5. My insides are telling me that they'll wait for rd 10, but we shall see.
In the name of FUN, I'm looking forward to it.
Seraphim will be teh ready

It is certainly no secret that there are quite some 'projects' in production, which of those can make the deadline for round 9?
[edit] round 9.5 I meant, obviously [/edit]

How many of the projects are going to put their reputations on the line by declaring openly if they will be participating in 9.5? Take the first step WipeOut. Will Nepthys?
