Thedoctor is on a distinguished road
Question is Round 11 any good

I played since Round 2 up until the end of Round 10, I have been away lured by the other online games out there atm.

Being bored i thought i would look in on my old stomping ground, and i see Round 11 is under way, so my burning question is what has been changed that would bring back a veteran player to the fold?

Well as someone who has played all the rounds.

Round 11 is, well, different. (just as apparently rounds 10 & 10.5 were different apparently)

- No more scanning for roids
- No more eonium for launching
- People can destroy constructions
- Espionage
- Ability to shift priorites like research, construction, mining
- Multiple constructions of the same item for redundency/increases of effectiveness

Thats pretty much it. Then there is Experience, which is something of a "activeness ratio" where people taking on larger targets get bigger score increases

The biggest differences since you last played in Rd 10 are:

1) More ships types / fleet classes / multiple pods were brought back

2) Variable travel times (by fleet type) not to mention cluster ETA

3) Severely handicapped (but still very playable) free account (the biggest point being not seeing any gal incoming except your own).

Of course the obvious ship / game tweaks that go along with a new round.
