[Bittorent]HELP!!
well, i jsut dld azures.
now i am heavily confused what to do with this client. wu_trax told me to go to supernova.org from where i can get the files, however to get registered there i have to pay (which i obviously dont want to do).
so do you know any other site (especially for games/movies) or am i doing something wrong with supernova)?

Re: [Bittorent]HELP!!
I think advertising such illegal things is against the forum rules, and Mr. JammyJim might eat me.
(besides, I only know of the aforementioned one :|)

Re: [Bittorent]HELP!!
Ooooooh I can help, I can help. Pick me.
I'll do it in steps, it's easier
1) Browse to www.suprnova.org
2) Read above again and discover there is no e. That is not a typo.
3) Click a link. This will download a tiny (c. 60kb) tracker file.
4) Open said file with Azureus
5) The item in question will download for you.
6) When it's finished leave it open, so others can download fom you. Not doing so ruins the internet for everyone

I use TorrentStorm.
I think it was NB3 who recommended it, it's always worked well for me.

Re: [Bittorent]HELP!!
Also - these .isos - I think I read these are CD image files so need to be burned onto a CD, but winrar unzips them and I can see all the stuff. However, I haven't got one of these to work (I've tried 2 or 3) - exactly what do I have to do (preferably without wasting a CD).

Re: [Bittorent]HELP!!
do you have nero 6.x? it has a virtual-cd-drive-kind-of-thing, which allows you to mount the isos directly as a cdrom. clone-cd had a better one, but it became illegal i think.
and then there is also iso-buster which lets you extract the data.

Re: [Bittorent]HELP!!
I cac extract all the data with winrar though, but when I go to install (in he case of tombraider) or play (champ man 03/04) nothing happens - well nothing constructive! Tombraider brings up a cdm window and closes this, cham man says disk error!

Daemon Tools always works. Nero if you want to use up a CD. Also try Alcohol 120%, it also has the virtual drive so no CD is lost. But it took me two to three weeks to make it work. Couldn't find a working key. Depends on how patient you can be.

Re: [Bittorent]HELP!!
Lokitorrent is a good site.
Requires registration (which is free).
Please note I only use it to download film trailers as I think all copyright theives should be hung by the neck until either sorry or dead, whichever comes first.
No really.

Re: [Bittorent]HELP!!
More questions I see. Honestly, you guys can't even steal very well.
.iso is a (pretty bad) way to make a bit for bit data copy of a cd. (Bad in that it in no way defeats any copy protection inherent on the original it was copied from.) To restore it to a cd once more do the following.
1) Open Nero (latest version available with crack/serial/keygen from suprnova.org)
2) Close the wizard that opens automatically.
3) Click File >> New (Could be File >> Open - I'm on a work machine at the minute)
4) Browse to your .iso and select it
5) Burn it
6) Voila! as they say in lands where homosexuality prevails.
At this point it's worth noting that Clonecd does not burn any image with the exception of .ccd images. It is also worth saying that although Alcohol 120 is a powerful piece of software I wouldn't recommend it to people who are less than experienced with the theft of intellectual property. Ot those simply not very good at it. But if you do want practice at burning coasters then it is also available from suprnova.

You see, listening to what people tell you and not bothering to check for yourself just makes you look like an idiot when you are wrong. As you are in this case. Now Azureus may not be everyone's cup of tea (it's pretty advanced) but it is safe and reliable.
Now be a good parrot and repeat that back to the equally ignorant person who misinformed you before I feel obliged to call the truth police.

What did I say? Use Nero, I don't need to mention steps. I imagine Stew knows how to use computers and burning softwares.

If that was the case then why did he post on this thread asking for help? If you are going to do something, do it right. You don't tell someone how to drive a car by saying "Press the accelerator" because half assed advice like that is pretty useless.

works for me fine. it extracts the image to a specific folder from where you install the game.

Re: [Bittorent]HELP!!
The problem with Isobuster (I use it quite a bit) is that some games that are on multiple CDs try to be clever, so when they say "Insert Disc 2" they will only accept it from the same location they found Disc 1.
That is where virtual CD drives are useful, as has been mentioned.
I use Daemon Tools for that. http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/portal.php
It lets you define as many virtual drives as you like - they can be CD drives, DVD drives, etc and you can even emulate copy protection on them if you like.
Due to having stupid ammounts of harddrive space I even rip the games I own to ISO on the harddrive and then run them with Daemon simply to avoid hunting for the CDs when I want to play.
