which are cool/uncool? i have a new phone (motrolla c550, cost a tenner ) but no sim card and i know nothing about phones.

the O2 online one isn't too bad.
sim for £1 and you get 300 free texts every time you put £10 on it.

O2 are best for texting. £10 a month minimum gets you 300 free texts.

3 is good for cheap calls but that means you have to top up £25 a month to get cheaper calls than topping up £15 a month.

If you go for T-Mobile's Mix It, it's a combination of line rental and pay as you go. You get free minutes/texts a month and if that's finished, you have to either top up or wait till the next month to get your free minutes/text and get billed for it.
