nice game, poor review
why do they let some guy who obviously likes action games test a trading simulation and write a review about it? (talking about this: http://www.jolt.co.uk/index.php?articleid=2473 )

I know what you’re expecting – a load of lame pirate jokes. References aplenty to swabbing the decks, walking the plank, and Master Bates the cabin boy. Well, I’m afraid you won’t find any here.

exactly my point. and that 'really have to work for it' takes maybe 20 minutes, for a game that you can play for 50-100 hours or more thats not really much.

Re: nice game, poor review
From the screenshots I've seen, it's a pretty close rendition to the original Pirates game.

Re: nice game, poor review
its a mixture of pirates and 'patritian' or whatever the english version of it is called (that hanse-in-the-baltic-and north-sea-game, if you know that)
ascaron makes some nice games, also they dont seem to have any own ideas at all. before this they published sacred which is more or less a diabolo-clone, but still nice to play

Re: nice game, poor review
I've rediscovered Uncharted Waters 2 recently. Worth playing if you like the whole Pirates / Elite-at-sea thing.
