We're not afraid of "carbs". We sometimes indulge in red meat. What if you like to mix a little fun into your life? Does that mean you live wrong? YES IT DOES.

Well ok I dont like these faggotary wristabands, but does this not kinda defeat the point of what it is setting out to do?
Anyway I was speaking to my housemate today and he said the "blue anti bullying" wristband that was sent to me in the post, apparently I can sell it on ebay for muchos money. As they arent being made/sold anymore (god knows why I got sent one) and its the first of its kind, along with that armstrong dude, so I might keep it for a few more months, hope they sell some more gay wristbands and then cash in on it.
This livewrong is a good idea but is a bit like a friend of mine who set up a Anarchist Society...Having a society for anarchists to meet in a structured time each week, yada, yada, yada kinda defeats the point.

Re: Anti Wristbands
I bought some green darfur wristbands . I try to wear one, but because I wear wrist support because of my RSI (so you can't see it), it's pretty pointless. Plus it's very uncomfortable. I felt good buying them though.

Nobody knows what anarchism means. It's just a word people say sometimes.

This point has already been made but I'll re-emphasise the fact you are misunderstanding what anarchism means.
As a tip, if you're ever confused about the meaning of words there are quite a few helpful websites which can help you out. As a very basic start Dictionary.com can help give a simple (although sometimes misleading) definition.
You could also check Wikipedia if you want a more in-depth article on the subject at hand.
If you're in a rush what you could try to do is put "define : TERM" into Google (so in this case : define:Anarchsim). This will give you a list of different definitions from a variety of sources. It's careful to realise where the definitions come from (check the URL of each one) as each site might have it's own focus, etc. But here's one I like that comes up when you put in 'anarchism' :
Quote:
The idea that peaceful social cooperation can continue to exist without the institution of government, the social apparatus of coercion and compulsion.
|
I've bolded the section which seems relevent. So you see, unless your friend was violently forcing people to attend the meetings, it really wasn't that much of a contradiction at all!
I hope this helps you in your future internet endeavours.

And contrary to popular belief, they are not blue nor do they hang around with flying foxes.

Re: Anti Wristbands
I have a pink one (breast cancer awareness) which I gave to my sister, and a blue one, which I never wear anymore.
I'm going to shove the blue one on E-bay soon pig. I have a feeling that come summer, they'll all be out of fashion, so don't wait too long.

Re: Anti Wristbands
I told my sister that people with coloured wristbands means that you can kick them. She is only 3 and its well funny when she does it.
So to battle the wristbands tell little kids it means 'kick me' etc.

And to think, I once thought the WWJD bracelets were uncool.
Never again can you insist that Christianity has brought nothing to modern society.

I have a custom made wristband. You can get them for cheap as chips.
Mine is in white and says "Insert Neck In Here"

Re: Anti Wristbands
I'd like a wristband that says "Remember kids: Along the street, not Across the road".

Re: Anti Wristbands
I just bought a Stand Up Speak Up wristband from NikeTown.
£1.50
Now all I need to do is get a cardboard, write a message on it and walk around in silence.
