On friday the 23rd of July (4 days from now), I am moving house, from the UK to Finland. 8 days after that (the 31st of July) I am getting married. To a lovely lady I met through PA.

It was round 4. I was in p25a, she was in 25th (parallel alliances). One night my gal attacked her gal ( a really good raid as well, I got loads of roids for no losses), but the next day it turns out we had been naughty. That night p25a and 25th had merged, but no one told us. So we went back to apologise.

I couldn't find my target on IRC, but his sister was there. We got chatting.

Skip forwards 3 and a bit years, and we are getting married \o/

This game is so much more than roids and ships. It is community. I have got more out of this game than I could have ever imagined, even if I had come 1st in every round (though I still try occasionaly!)

The girl was Leya, she might make a reappearance some day if I can get her to play again, I am, as it says, Isambard, and this was us back in Easter 2003:

Hello Isambard! Long time no see.

I remember the days of 25th and p25a well, being a HC of p25a along with ppl such as Superfly and Leya (other names have slipped my mind), and vaguely remember that event as well!

Having seen all the notices in MOTD, its nice to see how many people have been brought togather by 'just a game'.

I will have to show Leya the MOTD, but I will have to wait till friday, as she is in Finland atm, and I am in the UK till tomorrow, and she cant log into my account to see it, of course.

I know what you mean james. ( was at the weeding to) It was such a lovley day . they made such a sweet cople. The walking back down the aisle to the star wars theam was classic.

Seems I've missed this bit too. Did they move to Finland for the wedding or for good?

It's been a couple of years since Jenni left in a rush to UK after the love of her life. I'm glad she's doing fine as I haven't heard much from her since.

As for Jenni, I think she wants to play next round with some of the creds Spinner gave us as a wedding prezzie (cheers Spinner!)

This is amazing... googeling for "hugelmopf" I found this thread. Didn't velcrome say something about telling me about this thread? He never did...

Congratulations to you both, and especially good luck for you Leya!
If I would have known this future 4 years ago, I'd have been jealous :-)
(and if I didn't have a very lovely girl friend myself now, I'd still be I guess ;-) )

I haven't played any PA since the round after the p25a time, but I remember it was a lot of fun and Leya was a very nice person to chat with. I remember listening to one of her songs back then, but it was in Finnish, so I don't recall the title, something like "Kyäta mua"?

OK, hope you (Isambard) happen to look in this old thread again. If you do, say hi to Leya for me please!

i'm so happy for ya both, i even remember the convo when you two arranged to meet each other for the first time irl. I hope you two have a wonderful life together, you deserve it!! Think, if i hadn't been an op in p25a and we hadn't merged with 25th you may never have met! So erm, yeah, it's all thanks to me, buy me stuff!! (just kidding (unless you want to)).

Well, it is nice how things have moved on. Leya and I are living happily (well, as happy as she can be with 5 exams in 1 week),
