Fairly harsh on the clubs not involved if they miss out on European football because of the crimes of others

Its one way to deflecta bit of intrest. I'm actually finding the fact that they distinctly state they arent announcing it until after the stock market closes. If it was good news you would assume they would announce it before to potentially boost the market but holding it off seems like they are trying to prevent it wiping out any gains its made during the day

It actually seems like they were too busy watching the football and forgot the announcement

Re: [Football] Italy Match Fixing - Results

During the Italy - Czech Republic match the commentator on German TV mentioned some rumors getting out today, that all* Serie A clubs besides AS Roma will be relegated and that on the stock market Roma had been temporarily excluded from trade because its price went through the roof.

*I assume this means only all involved clubs, not the complete Serie A.

Re: [Football] Italy Match Fixing - Results

juventus, fiorentina, lazio, ac milan indicted as expected, apparently. It'll be un****ingbelievable if the italians do relegate all those clubs, talk about the cream of serie a, i think the foreign players might abandon ship but i can't really see clubs of that nature staying down for more than couple of seasons at most, it'd be almost given to me that juventus and milan would bounce straight back up. If you put man utd and chelsea into the championship, and they persuade even some of their players to stay they'd come straight back up, the difference in class is far too much.

If they do go down Inter FTW \o/ after how many years would that be?i wonder what their odds are at the moment.

Re: [Football] Italy Match Fixing - Results

so would they promote a club from the next league down for every club they demote then?

there most be some second string clubs in italy rubbing their hands at the unexpected money windfall at the moment if so

Re: [Football] Italy Match Fixing - Results

thats a good question, what happens to the clubs that are normally relegated? assuming 3 are normally relegated the only way i can see them doing it is to get rid of 7 and bring in the top seven from serie b, which would make Inter ftw with even more vigour.

Re: [Football] Italy Match Fixing - Results

I would assume that those whom were religated for finishing at the bottom would get a reprive and if more teams were kicked out of the league than get religated last season then they would promote the next team whom didnt get automatic promotion.
