Goodbye Arry , Goodbye
Now , thats an interesting comment from Redknapp in the post match interviews
"Ive had a great 2 1/2 years"
Now does that sound to anyone else like hes already negotiating his redundancy?

Re: Goodbye Arry , Goodbye
Yes it does but he could have also meant it as he has had a great time and hopes to continue having a great time
Also what was the question he was asked? For all i know it could have been 'Have you enjoyed your time here?'
I would need to see/read the whole interview

Re: Goodbye Arry , Goodbye
To be fair if you lose a game pathetically at Villa, get blasted at by the chairman and then turn out another toss away performance against your local rivals with a director of football rumour over your head you'ld be worried, wouldn't you? Although in fairness it's only the last 2 games we've had 'bad' performances - we were unlucky against Charlton and Blackburn and simply got tactically outdone by Everton like most other teams that play them.
The problem is that Arry and Milan are people who wear their heart on their sleeve and things get out of hand occaisonally - they'll either be hugging each other in the near future or setting each other on fire.
I'm personally not demanding for Redknapp's head as while he's here he near enough promises us a good chance of survival. What I am very concerned about is our lack of a scouting network/youth system to dig out the kind of players Arsenal find and the fact that the Portsmouth team that chases down teams like their life depends on it at home is very different to the timid, submissive Portsmouth team that turns up for away games.
interesting article

Re: Goodbye Arry , Goodbye
It does seem to suggest that he might leave, but then I'm sure he said something similar when the two had their spat a while back. It's probably just posturing.

Re: Goodbye Arry , Goodbye
When you say 'the kind of people arsenal find' are you referring to their illegal poaching of french youth players?
Arsenal perform wonders for the future of english youth...

To be fair, it's the spanish they've poached lately, and also Man United and Chelsea have been at it too, so stop being a fag.
This all said I believe if Harry does get the chop he'd be clamoured over by lots of clubs, I reckon West Ham fans would take him back in a heartbeat.

Re: Goodbye Arry , Goodbye
They all do it.
Arsenal just seem to be better at it.
I won't deny that their scouting abilities are brilliant, their youth side could probably finish top 5 of the premiership.
I just wish they'd ( and Man U and Chelsea) would invest more in English youth.

Re: Goodbye Arry , Goodbye
the english FA rules prohibit any taking of english talent who are from anywhere further away than 90km or something like that, from the home arena of a club.
Atleast I have read that somewhere..

Re: Goodbye Arry , Goodbye
Really, this Tuesday? That's kinda odd; I've just been replaying the original for the first time in ages these past few days.
