The Last March of the Lemming Hordes
The End of an Era , it is with a tear in my eye, and a sad heart, that I bring news that hirr will no longer be playing Planetarion ...
The reasons for this, that despite fresh new recruits each round, hirr has been suffering from a known PA curse, a shrinking memberbase. Although our pr0n stashes and spam-like nature has kept many of our members close to us, most of them are no longer frustrating themselves in Planetarion, and have found other games to insatiate themselves.
For the coming round our current membercount is less than 10 .. with all but one of the previous HC leaving the game, and many of our oldest, most revered, and skilled players leaving the game for good. Even in PaX we had a mass walk-out .. but we still had enough players to rock the Universe once more .. but today .. alas .. but 4 days to sign-up for the new game ... we simply don't have enough players to give the hirr name justice ..
So it is with honour that I lay down the hirr flag, knowing that in every round from 1 to 10 we have sacrificed no end to the lemming way, breaking out teeth on the armour of the enemy, and watching their waves wash across our pyjamas of steel. We have seen many fall in battle, and many more rise to fight once more, but this time we truly have cliff-dived for the final time.
I would like to offer thanks to my old commanders through the years (and yes .. it has certainly been years) .. I doubt I could come even close to remembering all of them .. so I will simply say thankyou ..
who is to say what will occur in the future. But for Planetarion r10.5, and almost undoubtably r11 ....
no more lemming runs
no more furry hordes
no more steel pyjamas
...
no more hirr ...
signing out

You are one of my all time favourite alliances as you played PA for the right reason - fun. I am very sorry to see you leave .

A planetarion without hirr is like a pizza without cheese .. R.I.P mates, it was great being allied & having your members as peons in my gal r9. You're probably some of the nicest people in planetarion.

Nice post MKeep.
No more enemies to gnaw on in PA, it has been a great time together tho. First as ally, but finally my lemmingside prevailed

Re: The Last March of the Lemming Hordes
We might leave PA, but the hirr community is as strong as ever. We play alot of other games, so you will likely meet a few of us around, and quite a few of us has been very busy in EVE.
strange to not play PA though as some of us been doing it since round 1-2.

Re: The Last March of the Lemming Hordes
Goodbye hirr.
It has been great to know and work with hirr in past rounds of Planetarion.
But those days are over, probably never to return.
I hope this will not stop the lemmings idling in #hirr. Always an entertaining place to...idle..
Anyway, good luck and goodbye.
hirr!!!
P.S. Congratulations to Lui and Squib on their engagement! I hope you have a great life together.

Re: The Last March of the Lemming Hordes
tis sad to play pa for the first EVER time since i joined and not be a lemming.
played most rounds since the beginning and i've been a lemming through and through since r2.
but i'll still be playing. i'll still be a lemming. i will fly the hirr banner for myself (albeit a very small version) i will lemmingrun (there are some things that are simply inevitable).
but for those who think they've seen the last of them lemmings beware. there are more of us out there than you think. tho planetarion might not be where you find us.

Re: The Last March of the Lemming Hordes
PaX was my first 'proper' round (played a bit as a n00b in R7 etc), and I feel priveleged to have met the great lemmings of hirr, and thanks being one of the most fun alliances out there.
And you also inspired my last-ditch attack on Assassin (Sorry about the ranks you lost mate ), but I still had some ships left, and now you've gone, it is unlikely I'll ever truly perfect my lemming technique!
Terrible to see you go, gl in whatever you do!
