-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Somewhere deep within unexplored space, 127 years ago…..

EO: Damn it! We’re losing power fast!

Hewitt: Where the f*ck are we!?

*The all the light’s on the control bridge dim and flicker.*

SO: We’re stuck in some kind of electrical storm… cannot determine co-ordinates… to much interference-

*Suddenly there is a massive BOOM and those looking out through the control bridge Plexiglas are temporarily blinded as Yamato is struck by lightning. The massive electrical charge dances up along the conductive steel/titanium hull of the aging space battleship causing numerous power surges. Back on the bridge a few control panels explode violently on the lower deck harming a number of the control technicians. However, the worse is yet to come as the electrical discharge finally reaches the ships engine ports….*

EO: Aww crap. The engines are overload-

*No one hears the final curse and warning of the chief engineer. In every room, chamber, compartment and workstation of every section onboard people are plunged into darkness as the power systems give up the ghost. In the now very dark interior of the control bridge an eerie silence holds dominant as over a hundred crew members sit in stunned silence.

For in the main engine room the Wave Motion Drive is going nuts…*

A few hours later when the mothership would regain power they would be surprised to find themselves missing one escort ship. There had been no explosion, no residue, nothing… not even a trace of debris on the gas giant’s rocky core. Almost as if the space battleship yamato had vanished into thin air……..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New Europa Shipyards, two weeks ago…

*Within the confines of construction bay 1F-47 one of the federations brand new ‘pocket battleship’ type explorer vessels had entered the final stages of construction. All the major systems were functioning and the workers had almost finished adding the fourth layer of glossy black paint to the already shiny new hull. Onboard the new almost sterile interior, two federation commanders go about their business in freshly cleaned and pressed uniforms inspecting various aspects of the hive of activity surrounding. Their seemingly casual pace defies the large sense of urgency dominating the crew and workers around them, who appear determined to rush through everything as quickly as possible.*

Hewitt: I must commend you and your men sir, this certainly is a fine vessel you’ve built here.

*Lt Commander Paul Hewitt briefly studies what is to be his home for most likely the next year or so. His gaze darts from one aspect of the ship to another, his face either showing focus or fascination whenever he spots another hi-tech gizmo. Beside him, Commander Henry Rogers moves onward at a steady pace his seeming lack of concern of what’s going on around him merely acting to increase his imposing figure. Exhausted crewmen pick up the pace instantly whenever they notice his gaze upon them.*

Commander Rogers: Indeed it is Lt Commander. So I do hope you’ll take care of her.

Nemesis: I hope you take care of me as well captain.

*The voice draws Hewitt’s attention to a shapely woman of supposed greek origin wearing a standard issue Lt Commander’s uniform. The two men pause as she walks up to them with a casual smile on her face.*

Commander Rogers: Ah yes. Lt Commander, this is the ship’s AI Lt Commander Adrêsteia.

Nemesis: Nice to meet you captain.

Hewitt: Likewise I’m sure.

*Hewitt and Adrêsteia both shake hands (thanks to the funky star trek-style technology that allows holograms to interact with their surroundings).*

Nemesis: Actually Lt Commander, I’m the bucket of bolts you and Commander Rogers here are currently residing in. This lovely visage you see before you is merely a hologram but of course you knew that already.

*Hewitt watches Adrêsteia’s smile becomes an amused grin as he ponders over this ultra-realistic copy of a human being.*

Hewitt: Erm, yeah. So I noticed… This is a computer program!? Good lord! She looks and acts almost real! In fact, better than real…

Commander Rogers:*ahem*

Nemesis: Um captain? You can stop staring at me now…

*Hewitt suddenly realized what his moment of mental pause must’ve looked like.*

Hewitt: Oh. Um… I wasn’t… I mean… I was just… *blushes*

Nemesis: Heh sure, whatever you say captain.

*Hewitt is stunned and his face goes even redder as the computer generated hologram in front of him gives him a conspirital wink.*

Commander Rogers: Shall we continue then hmm?

Hewitt: Um yeah, I mean yes sir. By all means…

Commander Rogers: Good. Lt Commander Adrêsteia, if you would be so kind…

Nemesis: Of course commander, right this way.

*As the trio walks on Lt Commander Hewitt, who had only moments before been actively studying every aspect of his new command now found himself looking at various parts of the pseudo lady leading the way.

And even though the shipmind watched on with much amusement from the numerous comeyes, Hewitt still averted his gaze whenever the cheeky computer decided to have her avatar look over it’s shoulder.*

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

New Europa Shipyards, a few days ago…

(I’ll do this another time in another post when I have more well… time – this section will include an exterior ship description)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gal Baoen System, not long ago…

Helm: Sir, we are approaching our destination. Preparing to disengage FTL systems…

*Hewitt leans back in his comfy new captain’s chair as he over looks the newly trained bridge crew. All of them were British as was every single officer onboard NEMESIS he noted. He mused over this as they went on their jolly way that this unique setup was most likely due to the New Europa’s proximity to a pre-dominantly British colony. In fact now that that he though about it, by also having fully German maintenance and engineering teams, French chefs in the kitchen and vintners crawling throughout the hydro bay, Swedish nurses () and doctors decking out the medbay, Spanish bar staff, Italian moral personnel, not one but two separate Greek AI’s, Irish security personnel, Danish shuttle pilots and a shit load of Dutch and Belgian crew members Hewitt suddenly realized that he was probably the only peep onboard of non-europian origin.

But then again as an Aussie, perhaps he was… if you went back far enough.*

Helm: Here goes nothing-

BANG!!!

*Suddenly what had only moments before been a start to a straight forward procedure became a horrendous experience of pain and agony as a small power conduit running underneath Hewitt’s chair exploded. With large jagged shards of twisted metal ripping into his ass cheeks, Hewitt did what any other true blue Aussie would do in the same situation…

He screamed bloody murder.

By the time Adrêsteia noticed the situation on the bridge, two buxom Swedish nurses already had a cursing Hewitt on a stretcher and were carrying him to sickbay.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gal Baoen System, NOW

Nemesis: What exactly is going on here Ensign?

*Adrêsteia was giving a stern look at the British 2IC that had failed to call her immediately once the captain had been ‘incapacitated’. What annoyed her even more was not only had he not called her, but he had called some jarhead instead.*

No 1: The captain was injuried so following procedure I assumed command of this vessel and requested orders from the captain leading this attack. All by the book and all that say what. And in the process our boys here have been giving the jolly buggers a good old thrashing we have.

Nemesis: ’This vessel’ would like to remind you that unlike onboard the senseless hulks you’ve traveled on in the past dear sir, on a thinking ship like myself I am the next in command after the captain.

*Adrêsteia by now was leaning forward slightly as she bore down on the hapless fellow. In order to make clear what she though of being consider as simply another lifeless entity, she emphasized her feelings of annoyance by making the hologram of her image grow to an imposing 6’. The British officer managed to keep his cool but sweat was noticeable starting to show on his brow – he at least had some idea what holo technology was capable of.*

No1: Forgive me ma’am. I am not experienced with erm, ‘AI protocols’.

*Adrêsteia’s face soften and she shrank back to normal.*

Nemesis: Your excused for now Lt. But don’t let it happen again.

No 1:Yes ma’am. So… what are your orders?

*Now under self-control, the once sluggish ship seemed to come alive with new energy as the frigate-sized vessel swung gracefully through space to form up with the two cruisers attacking one of the G’oauld motherships. See instantly re-directed her Q-Phasers from the gnat-like fighters and let rip with several rapid-fire bursts, targeting what she considered to be the enemy ship’s power core. The attack gave the glossy black ship the appearance of a large sea predator swing in for the kill.

However, the fighters were not forgotten and a number of the more arrogant pilots payed for this assumption dearly as the two anti-fighter missile turrets emerged from their respective hardened enclosures. Combined with Nemesis’s advanced sensor package and her ‘quick reflexes’ (gel circuitry) the turrets spelled a certain doom for the enemy strike craft as they began to spew forth a hail of explosive projectiles.

But most terrifying of all... all six MAC cannons began crackling with raw energy as Nemesis starts powering them up....*

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

May or may not add more later

*Seeing the Earth Song rip apart the remainder of the advance forces and the Red Sky at Dawn begin to take apart the other ships, Captain Peter King decided that is was time to end this battle. The MAC cannon were ready and fully charged. No one ever expected the tiny Phoenix-class vessels to mount such devastating guns, the projectiles they fired larger than the gunboats themselves. The energy the superweapons would release would be easily enough to destroy the entire enemy fleet, but only if the projectiles could be directed properly through their formation. Fortunately, the second squadron that had not attacked intitially were still flying in formation, need to the trading station. Even the station's planetary shields would not stand up to the super accelerated plasma encased spheres. It would take some good piloting in order to pull this off. PK opened a comm channel to the Phoenix Dawn's sister ship, the Phoenix Talon.*

"Captain Donovan, I believe its time to enlighten these Swarm fools to our true abilities."

Donovan: Happy to sir, systems are all green, MAC already aiming.

"We need to get into postion first though, then we can take out everything that's left out there with one almighty blast."

Donovan: Aye, we'll be ready.

*PK hung up the comm, and the two craft sped up, impulse drives thrumming, forcing them through the void at insane speeds. As they arrived at a point where they could find a firing soloution, they slowed to a halt. The cannons could not be fired if the ships were moving, even the improved and strengthened hull frames would not stand up to that kind of stress. The enemy ships were directly in line with the Phoenixes and the station, and it seemed that they had realised something was wrong as they had turned, screaming towards the two allied vessels. It was too late though. Coolant blasted throughout the frames of the small gunboats, preempting the huge quantities of heat that would soon be activated. The plasma cores at their centres powered up, spinning into a blur of green power. Suddenly, it was released, forced through tubes that could barely withstand the power of the energy and out into the space in front of the Dawn and Talon, forming up into a pair of gigantic, brilliant green orbs. Once all of the energy was expended, the ports closed and the two MAC rounds just sat motionless in space for a moment, before exploding forward in a blur of green fire. They barreled into the oncomming Devastators and Skippers, burning them up in the incandesant super heated gas and continued on towards the Goa'uld Trading Station. The medium strength assault craft hadn't stood a chance against the MACs, but they had served another purpose. The energy that they had absorbed was just enough to bleed off some of the firepower of the spheres, enough to still blast the station's shields away and cause a reasonable quantity of damage, but no longer enoguh to destroy it outright. PK wanted the station intact.*

SRO: MACs are having expected result sir, total devastation of enemy fleet.

"Excellent."

SRO: Impact on the station in 5 seconds. 4... 3... 2... 1...

*The blast was impressivly large, enveloping the entire viewscreen in the light of the explosion. The normally almost impenetrable planetary shields flickered, and failed, allowing molten shrapnel to tear into the armoured hull, bursting into previously airtight compartments and igniting oxygen within. The station's power supply died a few seconds later, and the occupants only just managed to switch to emergancy power.*

"Good work people, one for the archives, that. I want the marines to get in there and secure that base. Be careful, there's likely to still be resistance and I don't want this screwed up."

*The Dawn and Talon opened their bay doors and from within, four shuttles exited with four elite brigades of troops on board, streaking out towards the Goa'uld base, engines burning brightly in the darkness.*

Edit: Bakan, some of posted on time, and the wait is discouraging me personally from bothering to put in effort next time...
That, and the new measurement known as the Bakan DM day is hereby placed in effect. It means friday, or possibly wednesday. Or possibly 2506....

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

/ooc The following fight is somewhat brutal, and not crucial to my battle post. Thus, scroll down to the ***s if you aren’t interested. ooc/

The two combatants circled each other warily, still trying to size their opponent up and find the perfect moment to strike. They had already exchanged several sets of blows, although no serious damage had been inflicted yet. Julian flexed his right shoulder blade, a spot where his opponent had landed a particularly hard blow. He then smiled, and slid a step to the right, causing his enemy to slide to the left.

“So, Commander, when are we going to stop dancing, and start fighting again?” He taunted, dropping into a combat-ready stance.

Commander Stephanie Dahalla shrugged, and retorted, “How about now? Hiya!”

Lunging forward, she shot her left foot up in a high kick clearly meant to knock Julian’s head off. Although the blow was fast, Commander Dahalla was not quite fast enough, and Julian easily ducked under the blow. Sweeping in close, Julian planted his right fist in Stephanie’s solar plexus, then followed up with a left cross to her jaw.

Stephanie staggered back, right into the ideal range for Julian’s feet. A moment later, she received Julian’s own high kick, catching it on the tip of her chin. The force of the impact snapped her head back, and the backwards stagger turns into a backwards fall as Stephanie crumples to the ground.

Julian’s thoughts of victory are short-lived, however, as a few seconds later Stephanie jumped back onto her feet, apparently unfazed by Julian’s brutal blows. Not even her face appeared to be damaged; baring none of the marks that normally would be visible from receiving a knuckle sandwich, immediately followed by a foot filet.

“Want some more do you? Good . . . because I’ve got plenty!” Julian shouted, charging forward and launching himself into a flying kick.

Stephanie showed that she was not a complete punching bag, however, by rolling under his attack, and then following up with some pain of her own. As Julian landed from his kick he felt something hard slam into his left kidney, bringing tears to his eyes. Stephanie followed this up with a hard kick to the back of his left knee, causing it to give out and throw Julian down on one knee. Twisting around to his right so that he could at least see his nemesis, Julian immediately throws his right arm up in a block as he sees Stephanie’s left fist descending towards his head.

With a brutal impact the two’s forearms connect, and Julian feels his entire arm go numb for a moment. Stephanie’s attack had failed, however, and now it was Julian’s initiative. Shifting his weight fully onto his downed left knee, Julian manages to free up his right leg enough to kick out with it, and catches Stephanie just above the waistline.

The blow, although somewhat cushioned by the fact that it struck a softer part of the commander’s body, still send her staggering back long enough that Julian was able to get onto his feet. Dropping back into his ready fighting stance, Julian motioned Stephanie forward.

“Come on, I know you can do better than this.”

Stephanie just bared her teeth and swept in again, still not tiring from the beating Julian was giving her. Julian was tiring of beating on her, however, and resolved to finish this fight quickly. As Stephanie moved in to throw a quick jab to his face, Julian side-stepped the blow, slapped her arm away, and stepped into the gap opened in her defenses.

The fight was over a minute later, as Julian slammed his left fist into Stephanie’s solar plexus again, and then reached up with both hands to seize a hold of her neck. A quick twist later, Stephanie’s neck was broken, and Julian let her lifeless body slump to the deck.

Well, how was that? Work off enough of your hot-headed testosterone yet?

“Nope. Let’s do that again . . . Realistic Damage this time.”

Obviously you’ve suddenly developed a sadistic streak . . . my compliments.

“Shut up and give me that b*tch to kill.” Julian growled, stomping back to one side of the exercise mat in Kronos’s small, holographic training gym. Well equipped with holographic emitters, the somewhat small gym room was able to simulate a wide variety of exercise machines, including fairly life-like automatons to combat . . . and kill.

A moment later the collapsed form of Stephanie Dahalla shimmered out of existence, to be replaced with a fresh Stephanie on the far side of the exercise mat, already in a combat ready stance.

So, how many does this make now? Two, three, a dozen? Perhaps you should just tell the real one exactly how you feel about her.

“Yeah, and get spaced five hours later. No thanks . . . I’ll just settle for pretending to pound her into a bloody pulp . . . Begin!”

A moment later, the hologram of Stephanie Dahalla came to life, moving out of its ready stance to charge towards him, murder in its computer-generated eyes. Julian was all too happy to oblige the simulacrum in combat, and ran forward to meet her charge. The two met roughly in the middle, and for several moments the mat was a blur of kicking feet and chopping hands. Suddenly, Stephanie went flying backward and off of her feet, with a tooth flying in a perpendicular direction, as Julian connected with a vicious roundhouse kick.

Staring down at the fallen body of Stephanie, Julian’s face flickered into a smile as he watched Stephanie spit a quantity of blood and another tooth out onto the mat. The Federation Commander carefully pushed herself back onto her feet a moment later, realistically wincing at the imaginary pain filling her imaginary mouth. In a few moments that would be the least of her problems, however, as Julian swept in for the attack again.

For a time Julian’s flurry of blows were blocked, although he did gain ground as he steadily forced Stephanie back, towards one of the gym’s walls. With his opponent’s back nearly up against the wall, Julian thought it would be a simple matter to finish this simulation as well, but evidentially Kali had a surprise in store for Julian. A few steps before her back would have been forced firmly up against the wall, Stephanie disengaged from Julian, turned to face the wall, and ran at it. Leaping up into the air, Stephanie kicked her left foot out, using it to push off of the wall and rebound back at Julian. Spinning around, Stephanie caught Julian off-guard . . . and her right heel caught Julian on the left cheek.

Pain blossomed all along the left side of Julian’s face, and he staggered back both in shock as well as pain.

“What was that for!!?” Julian shouted, motioning for a temporary pause in the simulated Stephanie’s combat routine.

You said Realistic Damage, didn’t you? Well, you got it, so deal with it. Kali replied, and then swung Stephanie back into motion. Unprepared for the sudden revival of hostilities, only Julian’s quick reflexes saved him as he flung his hands up to block the latest flurry of blows from Stephanie.

Seeking to buy himself a moment of time, Julian kicked out at Stephanie again, aiming for a knee. Unfortunately, he missed, instead hitting her left thigh, but this threw her stride off enough that Julian was able to step in and throw a Haymaker punch to her left cheek. The blow snapped Stephanie’s head around, and although it didn’t break her neck, it did daze her. As her arms dropped down to her sides for a moment as Stephanie staggered drunkenly back, Julian continued his assault. Kicking out again, this time Julian managed to find her right kneecap, and the blow bent it far more backward than it was meant to go. Stephanie began to scream as she shifted all of her weight onto her remaining good leg, although her scream turned into a low gurgle as Julian kicked out again, this time landing a solid blow on her chest. Judging from the impact, Julian would say he broke at least three of her ribs, and probably drove one of them into her right lung, which caused the sudden gurgling.

Barely standing, Stephanie weakly threw a punch in Julian’s direction, which he easily blocked. Twisting his arm around, Julian was able to grab Stephanie’s arm before she could pull it back from the punch. Pulling her arm out to its maximum extension with his one hand, Julian pulled his other hand back, and then drove the heel of his palm into the elbow joint. Like Stephanie’s knee, her elbow wasn’t built to take this kind of punishment, and she half-gurgled, half-screamed as her arm became bent at an unnatural angle.

Refusing to let go of the crippled arm just yet, Julian twisted it around, and after stepping in closer to Stephanie, wrenched it behind her back. Overwhelmed by the pain, Stephanie collapsed onto the ground in a bloody and broken heap. Julian followed her down to the ground, however, continuing to wrench her broken arm still higher up her back.

Using her broken arm like a lever, Julian easily forced Stephanie’s face all the way down onto the floor, grinding it into the mat. Julian grinned fiercely, and looked around for something else to break on her body, while Stephanie continued to shudder weakly in pain. Looking to see just how pained her current expression was, Julian locked eyes with her as she turned her head sideways in an attempt to lessen the pressure on her neck.

A moment later, a wave of sick disgust washed over Julian, and he released his grip on Stephanie’s mangled arm. He pushed himself off of her, and was about to stand up when he noticed that somehow the simulacrum was still alive. Tiredly, he reached over, seized the holocram’s neck, and broke it with a quick twist. The broken body mercifully stopped shaking; the sound of quick, pained gasps ceasing to fill his ears.

Julian then pushed himself to his feet, and began to walk towards the edge of the practice mat. Halfway there, he stopped, and looked down at his hands. They were shaking.

Why did you stop? Isn’t that exactly what you wanted; what you wanted to do to her?

“N-not like that. No-nobody deserves something like that.”

Oh come on . . . I found it most amusing. Personally, I was looking forward to you attempting to twist her into a pretzel next.

“Oh stop!!”

“Stop what? Telling you the truth?” Said a voice behind him. Turning, Julian saw that the broken body of the holographic Stephanie had somehow risen onto its feet. Although its eyes blinked and the lips moved in a near-perfect replica of a human, its head was hanging from its neck at an odd angle that no living creature could hope to duplicate. In a motion that was as disturbing as it was disgusting, the head slowly sucked itself back onto the neck at the proper angle, and with a quick shake of the head managed to reset its broken neck.

“That wasn’t me. It was some kind of, of animal!” Julian retorted, still watching in disgusted fascination as the hologram similarly repaired all of its other wounds.

“Indeed . . . the human animal. Forgot yourself in the heat of the moment, did you?”

The hologram retorted, and a moment later the last of its “repairs” were completed. It then began to shift and mutate. A minute later the transformation was complete, and a young Indian woman stood where the image of Stephanie Dahalla had been a moment before. An all-too human smirk crossed her face as the woman continued, “You humans are such a paradox. One moment you’re relentlessly slaughtering your enemies, the next you’re mourning over their grave. I am a computer program. A magnificent and horrendously complex program, but a computer program nonetheless. I have two states: on, or off. Mercy, or ruthlessness. Compassion, or cruelty. You humans seem to be able to be both at once . . . a fatal weakness, to be sure. You are wishy-washy, and when the time comes to finish a job you shrink back, afraid of what lies beyond.”

Julian slowly shook his head, still trying to get his hands to stop shaking. They seemed to have stopped somewhat, but they were still quivering as Julian balled them into fists. “No, you are wrong Kali. For once you are wrong.”

At this Kali actually laughed, a pleasant, melodious sound that belied the bite in her words. “Am I, Julian? You certainly seemed eager to slaughter Stephanie over and over again, until you finally had to see just exactly what that would be really like. And when you did, when you realized what you had done and were about to do, you stopped. No, you didn’t just stop, you froze like a freighter caught in a pirate cruiser’s tractor beam. Why? Usually you are much more efficient and determined, almost as good as me in fact, or at least as close as a human can come. As you looked down at that image of a dying Stephanie Dahalla, your arch-enemy, what was it that caused you to stop? Was it pity? Regret? Some other foolish and misplaced human emotion?”

Searching deep inside of himself for some kind of answer, Julian came up with nothing. Even the endless font of his imagination, which had always produced a make-believe answer if Julian didn’t know the real one, came up blank this time. “I – I don’t know.”

Kali’s casual smirk turned into a frown as she crossed her arms. “Oh really? You don’t know? Not even a wild guess? That’s most certainly not like you Julian: you always have an answer, even if its one that’s the opposite of the truth.”

A feeling of self-consciousness and anger then swept over Julian, and he whirled around to face the gym doors once again, and began to stomp towards them.

“I said I don’t know, and I mean it. And as far as I’m concerned, this discussion is over.”

In a shimmering flash of light Kali suddenly appeared before him, blocking his path to the door.

“It isn’t over as far as I’m concerned, and I don’t think we should end this discussion until we understand exactly where you stand in regards to our “friend” and overseer, Commander Stephanie Dahalla.” Kali said, and then a moment later her eyes narrowed as she seemed to have a sudden insight. “And what your feelings are for her.”

For a moment Julian could only stare in shock at his AI while his mind flailed around for an appropriate answer. His mouth opened, and then snapped shut a moment later. Hoping to skewer Kali with his glare, Julian replied, “I told you that this discussion was over, Kali. I find your insinuations offensive, and if you insist of badgering me in this way, I shall have your memory wiped.”

“Ha . . . go ahead and try it. The last bozo who tried evidently had some success, since I don’t remember how I wound up on that asteroid, but he certainly didn’t finish the job!” Kali retorted, but a moment later her persona hologram disappeared, leaving Julian’s way clear.

“Thank you.” Julian said dryly, and then advanced through the gym doors and into the corridor.

You’re welcome. And I still say you need to figure out just what your relationship is with Stephanie, before you hesitate, and she runs you over like a bug. And since your fate is my fate, you d*mn well better make sure you get rid of the little b*tch before she gets you, even if you have to close your eyes to do it.

“Kali . . . “

I know, I know: shut up.

*******Several Hours Later*********

“Exiting Slipstream now, sir. Dead ahead: Sol System.” The Helmsman reported, tapping in the necessary commands to deactivate the Slipstream drive and bring the Kronos out of the Slipstream channel.

“Ah, here’s to hoping there’s a nice Federation battle fleet waiting there to help us.” The Communications Officer sighed.

“Here’s to hoping that there still even is an Earth.” The Tactical Officer replied.

“Here’s to hoping that there’s some hot damsels in distress to rescue!” The Weapons Officer grunted, causing a wave of laughter and cat calls to sweep through the bridge.

Here’s to hoping there’s not a Swarm ambush waiting for us. I’ve just completed scans of the immediate area. There’s nothing out here, not even wreckage from the sensor network that was supposed to be here. Moving on to scanning the system itself.

The mood changed to a somber tone after Kali’s announcement, the crew sat in silence as the Kronos began to slowly move in-system with the other two Federation ships. Finally, analysis of the system was complete, and Kali quickly gave her report, starting with Pluto and working inward.

The news was bad, really bad. Everyone on the bridge, including Julian, could only sit in shock at the transformation that had happened to the fabled home system of the human race. Julian had thought that he didn’t really care about a legendary planet that had once served as the capital for a Federation he hated, but now that he had heard of the utter devastation wrecked upon it, he could feel a bitter anger simmering within him.

“Well . . . at least there’s no Swarm around here.” The Tactical Officer said, evidently relived to not see his sensor board filled with hostile contacts.

“Yeah, that is pretty odd though. I thought the Swarm stripped anything and everything useable from a system. Or at least, had some of their freaks reproducing down on the inhabitable planets.” The Helmsman observed.

Do you morons think it might have something to do about that f***ing huge ring around Sol?

Shaken out of his thoughts on the Earth inhabitants’ final moments by Kali’s comment, Julian said, “Indeed. So, what can you tell us about our mysterious addition to the system?”

Not much. Whatever it is, it’s a h*ll of a lot more advanced even than me, and that’s saying something. My sensors can’t even penetrate the outer shell, whatever it is made out of. Once we get closer to it I may be able to do more powerful and detailed scans, and that may tell us something, at least. At the moment this is what I can tell you: it’s a ring, it’s big, and it’s around the system’s star.

“Well thank you for that helpful information.” Julian muttered sarcastically, and grimaced when Kali replied, You’re welcome.

“SH*T!!! I’m picking up contacts – LOTS of contacts, emerging from hyperspace. Looks like fifteen ships similar to Gou’ald Motherships . . . wait, three of them are much, much bigger than the average Mothership . . .” The Sensor Officer suddenly reported, causing most of the bridge crew to glare at the Tactical Officer. Julian summarized the reason for the glares with a curse and a shout.

“D*mnit Tactical, you’ve jinxed us!”

Helplessly shrugging, the Tactical Officer said, “I’m sorry! What do you want me to do now, space myself?”

That might help. The three that are much bigger than the other Motherships appear to be a lot more heavily armed and armored as well. Probably a different class of ship, just in the same pyramid shape as the others.

“What is with these guys and their fetish for pyramids, anyway?” The Weapons Officer grunted, causing a snicker to pass through the crew for a moment, until the Communications Officer gave his own report.

“They’re hailing us, sir.”

“Oh good. These Gou’ald certainly seem a lot friendlier than the last ones we met.” Julian grunted, then waved for the Communications officer to open the channel. A moment later, a tall, bronze-clad figure appeared on the viewscreen.

“I am Seti. Surrender now, and prepare to submit to my will as my slaves. Otherwise, prepare to die in this unholy system of death.”

The Gou’ald apparently looked to an assistant off-screen, who then cut the channel. Just before Julian was going to tell him what he could do with his obvious over-compensating-for-something ship.

“Maybe they aren’t friendlier after all. Well lads, how do you think we should handle this?” Julian said, giving his traditional smirk to the on-screen view of the Gou’ald fleet.

“F*** ‘em.” The Weapons Officer summarized, obviously eager to use his skills to bring down one of those bigger ships.

“Yeah, we’ve already been to prison once. I ain’t going back, even if it is a different type of prison.” The Communications Officer said.

Shrugging, the Tactical Officer displayed one of his rare flashes of courage as he said, “We’ve been on the run from the Federation for months. Keeping a small Gou’ald fleet on a wild goose chase for a few hours should be easy. Although, those Motherships are launching a bloody lot of fighters . . .”

On screen, wave after wave of Deathgliders emerged from the fighter bays on all of the Motherships, including the massive ones. No doubt each and every one of them was piloted by fanatics, eager to die for their masters. And no doubt, they will give those pilots that chance.

Smiling, Julian said confidently, “Well then, shall we give them our answer, Kali. I believe Standard Answer No. 1 should do nicely.”

Standard Answer No. 1 was to request the other ship to open a channel with the Kronos. The next thing the enemy ship’s captain saw was a computer generated face appearing on his viewscreen. This face was a simple, plain icon known as a Smilie. A moment after the channel was open, the smiling face would grin, and the image of a middle finger, fully extended, appeared next to the face. And then, the virus bomb that Kali had embedded in the transmission would activate, hopefully frying the suckers’ computer system.

Yes, I think it shall . . . wait. Something weird is going on near Sol . . . the ring is now emitting high power levels. A solar flare is forming, wait, no . . . it’s too big to be a solar flare. The ring appears to be focusing it, like it’s . . . funneling the energy into itself . . . ERUPTION. The ring is absorbing and processing the energy, and . . . sh*t, it just released some sort of massive energy beam. It’s head –

A moment later, the beam appeared at greater than the speed of light, bathing one of the Gou’ald Motherships in its blinding light. When the beam had passed, nothing remained of the massive space craft.

“Well . . . “ Julian said, still in shock at the unexpected help against the Gou’ald, “I guess that’s a better answer than even we could give.”

“Getting another hail from that Seti fellow sir. Care to guess what the message is?”

“Umm . . . prepare to die?” Julian said, and then motioned for the Communications Officer to open the channel.

“You have reactivated the unholiest of weapons scum. Your lives are forfeit. We taught your once what happens when you do this.... we will have to teach you again.”

“Channel cut.”

“Do you think he would have believed us if we told him it wasn’t our fault?” Julian said, looking at the tactical display as the swarms of Gou’ald fighters began to close with them.

Umm . . . no. On the plus side, that ring is recharging now. Estimate ten minutes until it is ready to fire another beam.

“Yeah, and those Gou’ald Motherships will be on us in five minutes. Might I suggest we get the h*ll out of here?” The Tactical Officer reported, staring practically bug-eyed at the large number of contacts flowing towards them.

“Indeed you may. Helm, set a course for the Asteroid Belt. Those huge ships are theirs will have a harder time navigating it than we will. With any luck we can find an asteroid to hide out in until that ring kills every last one of them.”

“Sounds like a plan sir. This is going to be just like that time we outsmarted that Federation Battlecruiser.” The Helmsman reported, pounding in the commands that would send the Kronos speeding towards the Asteroid Belt, and hopefully some measure of safety.

Those Gou’ald Motherships might not be able to keep up, but those fighters certainly can. Estimate two minutes until they’re all over us.

“Helm, time to Asteroid Belt?” Julian said, tensely watching the flock of Deathgliders slowly come closer and closer, weapons already powered up.

“Three minutes, forty seconds.” The Helmsman reported, glaring at his monitors.

“That’s too late. Alright, Weapons Officer, deploy one of our Omega torpedoes, set for remote detonation, lob it out of the torpedo tube, but do not activate its engines. It will hopefully look like just some piece of random debris that peeled off of our craft. When the leading wave of Deathgliders pass it, detonate the torpedo. That should make them think twice about messing with us, and they can go bug the other ships. Also.” Julian ordered, and then pressed a button on his armrest. This opened up a channel to the Kronos’s engineering bay, and a moment later the gruff voice of Kronos’s Chief Engineering Officer came over the comm system.

“Yeah, what do you want sir? We’re a bit busy down here.”

“Chief, I want you to increase the system power to the gravimetric engines by 25%. We need a good boost of speed, and we need it now.”

“The power connectors are still a bit shaky, sir, so I’m not promising anything. It’s your balls if the thing malfunctions, so I’ll do what I can. We’ve got plenty of extra power from the reactor, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Engineering out.”

And you’re a worthless piece of monkey sh*t too, Chief. Kali cursed, obviously upset at being called less than perfect.

“Torpedo is away, sir.” The Weapons Officer reported a moment later, and on the viewscreen Julian could just make out a jet-black cylinder tumbling towards the swarm of Deathgliders now very close to firing range.

“Excellent. Stand-by to detonate.” Julian said, watching closely to see if the Deathgliders would ignore the torpedo, or destroy it out of caution, before continuing towards the Kronos. The Deathglider pilots evidently didn’t have a lot of imagination or intelligence, as they let the torpedo twirl serenely into their midst, evidently thinking it was just a piece of space debris.

“Show time, Weapons Officer.” Julian said with a slight smile.

“Aye sir.” The Weapons Officer replied, and then mashed the detonation button.

On the viewscreen, a brilliant orange ball of flame appeared in the midst of the leading wave of Deathgliders, spreading out to rapidly consume a good portion of the front line, as well as the next rank or two of the fighter formation as well. Several dozen squadrons of Deathgliders were easily taken out, but there were still many more left. Perhaps they would look for someone else to mess with other than the Kronos, however. Or perhaps not, as the Gou’ald pilots had not yet proved to be on even average intelligence in Julian’s opinion.

/ooc Will add more if time permits. If not, at least meh balls are safe now. ooc/

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

Yay, you guys made it easy for me this time around. Since those of you have beaten your missions (as in cleared out the enmy fleet) you can finish up the side objectives (captures bases, talk to survivors, etc). To collect your rewards and get repairs/new ships, you must return to home base.

Mission #1 - Beaten. All enemy ships have been cleared from the system.

Mission #2 - Beaten. All enemy ships have been cleared from the system.

*AS you finsh clearing out the system, the Red Sky at Dawn's shipmind, still containing a decent chunk of ancient technology in communications, starts to detected what appeas to be a SOS from a Ancient ship, about 40 light years away in the middle of empty space. It could be a real ancient ship, or it could be a trap. Your choice if you will follow the signal, for the shipmind shares this informaiton with the entire fleet.*

Mission #3 - Beaten. All enemy ships have been cleared from the system.
Gen_Eath
*You ship takes a major braodside. Fortunally it's shields hold. Unfortunally a ensign with a cup of boiling hot coffee happens to walk by, and spills it on your lap, causing nice 3rd degree burns.*

All
*As the alst enemy ship is destroyed, the starbase hails you.*

Starbase Cmdr: "Thank you for your assistance. We thought we were all alone here. Listen, it will only be a matter of time till they attack again, and we can't last another attack. OUr phasers are nearly dead, we ahve no choice but to evacuate, but where we don't know. The cruiser we are working on has engines installed, but no shields or weapons, but enough space to fit all our crews. Please, help us."

Mission #4

*For several long minutes, the Sol system is alive again in a flurry of rapidly moving ships. Deathgliders make straffing passes over the 3 ships that had arrived at the system of legend. The Motherships, those that had survived, fired their weapons at extreme ranges as fast as they could. And the 3 ships spun around, returning fire and taking out enemy ships.*

*As another Super-Mothership explodes under the assualt of Richards attack, your science officers detect another power-up from the ring. This time, instead of one large burst, thousands of tiny bursts are fired, tiny relative to the original, for these bursts are each the side of a small asteroid. Streaking through space, they literally vaporize Deathgliders without missing a beat, slamming into the Gou-uld Mothership's shields, then into the hull.*

*Unfortunally, a certain ship happen to wade into the line of fire, and Inspectre's ship takes a full broadside of these shots to her starboard side. Her shields overload, but hold. Then the ou-uld actually show competance, and three motherships fire into the weakened shields, blowing through the weakened shields and into the hull, sending energy and debris flying throughout the ship. The ship itself shakes violently, with decompression and radiation alarms filling the ship. Crewmembers still alive in the damaged sections are sucked out into the void as emergency forcefields activate and bulkheads close. On every damage monitor for ship status, the amount of black indicating destruction covers 1/16th of the ship, with red filling 1/8 of the ship.*

*Inspectre however dosen't notice this, for as the ship was shaking, he was thrown quite painfully into the ground, where a power conduit decided to overload, sending several hundred volts quite coincidently into his nether regions, not a fatal charge but enough to cause burns and large amounts of pain. Again unnoticed by him, the communications officer, somehow still in his chair, notices a priority 1 communication.*

Inspectre's Comm Officer: "Sir, I know you are in pain, and we just took a shitload of damage, but Commander Dahalla just hailed us..... and we are live."

*Outside, the three motherships fall victim to the wave of fire from the Solar Ring. The survivors try to break off, only to be destroyed by more shots, almost as if the ring was, after striking Inspectre's ship, being more careful. However, many more head into the asteroid field, with 5 motherships also making their way into it, where the ring ceases firing at them.*

Well we could blame others for low marks. Thanks PK for ending that mission so quickly. I was gonna post more stuff but your super charged ships sorta removed anything for me to post with so instead I shall do this:

Wo2: Well that was cool. Helm, fly us in loops and circles.

Helm: Aye Aye sir

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

For those that are done with missions, (only #1 and #2 are completly done), go back home for repairs, rest, get money and new ships, and new missions. Or you COULD possibly go help others (except mission #4..... you can try to help them )

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

Chapter III of ...something

"Starbase Control, roger that. We are underway and preparing to receive refugees, please have them behave."

So spoke the bright soul aboard Fluffie's commanding Freighter, pretending to be acting Captain for as long Fluffie hadn't returned. The Captain was close to returning though, as the shuttles were now ferrying some Damage Control Teams and Troops between the Freighters and the newly acquired Mothership. Most of the Troops were being ferried back, some staying behind to act as a skeleton crew along with the Damage Control people. Amongst the soldiers being transported back to the Freighters was, as you might have bloody guessed by now, our beloved Cap'n Fluffie, still dragging his newly 'stolen' staff along. He liked it. It killed, killed bad people. And that never was a bad thing.

He even had a bloody name for it. Meatshield. Promptly named like that after a comment from a trooper who saw the whole Go-uld commanding guy being slaughtered in a most unfriendly way. Ah, how life could be a bitch. For bad guys, tee hee.

[Fast Forwarding, the small, now three ship Fluffian Fleet is very close to the Starbase, which by now has the refugees ready to transfer to the three ships. Fluffie is about to enter the bridge. Good, you're up to date. Now, visualize the scene and.... read on!]

"So, I see you even managed to vacuum clean the bridge!"

"Aye!"

"Of course, Sir!"

"We're not pigs!"

"Yeah!"

"Bloody damn good!"

Striking a pose that really backed up his words, Fluffie was on top of his game. Moonwalking to his chair a second later, his Freighters docked with the Starbase and began taking in refugees, while the Go-uld Mothership remained undocked, but was soon filled with its own fair share of refugees, brought in by a large supply of shuttlecraft. Several of the people loaded into the Mothership were engineers and technicians, quickly spreading around and beginning to help the crew from Fluffie's ships to keep the vessel going.

Time passed. The ships slowly all filled up with people from the station, every piece of available space being used. And, as much as possible, spare-parts and vital, expensive and so on equipment was salvaged and stored too...

More time passed. Really wanting to leave now as enemy re-inforcements could arrive every moment, Fluffie opened a comms channel to the commanding crew of the Starbase. His message was simple.

"As soon as we have filled our ships from top to bottom, I suggest we set the Starbase to self-destruct... We shouldn't leave any gifts to the Swarm. Captain Fluffie out."

And, as soon as it was entirely clear that his ships were entirely full, Fluffie's small fleet sent out another message - they were preparing to depart...

As soon as the other ships had finished, Fluffie's ships departed, hopefully with an exploding Starbase in their wake.

MORE time passes, when suddenly the sensors go crazy.

"Crap! Sir, five Motherships just hyperspaced in!"

"Oh man, the Starbase has lost power, their firepower is down, the Battlestar is still unarmed and unshielded..."

"Our own Mothership report it is entirely loaded up with refugees, they are already charging all systems."

"As are we, as are we..."

"Orders, sir?"

Fluffie cursed inside his mind. This had been a walk in the park so far.... Hadn't his ships been filled with people that needed evacuating, he and the other warships in this part of space would've easily finished off three of the enemies, while capturing another two. But he couldn't risk that, not now.

"Send Troopers to the station right away, have them place enough explosives to scuttle it real good. Also inform the Starbase Command and the other vessels that we are going to blow the place up, they had better start getting clear. And last not but not least, I suggest the Battlestar jumps out right away, preferably with either the two other Captains or the two Defients as escorts. Or all four of them. They can take the Mothership too if they want. Just as long as everyone, or the most of everyone we can take, is clear of the station. But I will NOT leave this base for the enemy, NO MATTER WHAT."

"Sending messages!"

"Troops have raided our Armories and are rushing through the Starbase now."

"Freighters and Mothership at full power."

"This is Mothership 1, we are joining formation with the Battlestar. We are sending your Troopers back now. Good luck."

Fluffie smiles and sighs as he watches his freshly captured Mothership line up with the Battlestar, hopefully soon jumping out with the two Defients, the captured Go-uld vessel and the two Explorers.

"One less ship to worry about now. I want our Gravimetric Drive running at 200% or more soon Engineering and I want the cloaking generator and Slipstream Core at 100% or more. Navigation, prelock our home co-ordinates for fast jump sequence, we will need to get out of here fast."

"Plotting course..."

"We will have little power in the weapons and shields. But, carrying out orders, Cap'n. Helm, I suggest you prepare for some slick flying."

"This is the OTHER Freighter. Roger those orders..."

"Troopers have planted enough explosives to break the Base in two by now. Just some more and they're coming back."

[NOTE] And this is where I decide to DM for some NPCs and two PCs. Since they ain't posting, after all [/NOTE]

A few minutes pass.

"Are we done yet... Those Motherships are AWFULLY close now."

"Incoming fire! All hands, brace for impact!"

With loads of flashing and other funky sounds, the five Go-uld Motherships unleash a first volley of fire. The fire is spread mostly over all ships, inflicting not too much damage".

"That's not likely to be all."

"Damnit! Tell the other ships to jump the **** out and get out Troopers back, ASAP."

"Sir! Telling the main evac-fleet to get out of here."

"Troopers acknowledge order and are running back to airlocks."

"Helmsmen (on both ships), get ready, we'll need to run from the explosion before jumping out."

"Evac-fleet is complying, they are jumping out."

With some bright flashes, a total of 8 ships jumps out in a neat formation. Their destination: the Hope Nebula. A location in the big, black void of space where Fluffie's two ships would hopefully join them, not all too much later.

The last Troopers passed the airlock, which hissed itself shut. Not even a second later, maneuvering thrusters on both Freighters fire, pushing the ships away from the big Starbase.

"We are on the move."

"Prepare to fire the explosives. Position the Starbase between us and the Motherships and kick the Gravimetric Drive to that 200% or more."

"We are on the move."

"Ohter Freighter is following."

"Engineering here. Helm, Cap'n, all hands, prepare for engine overload. Slipstream Core fully charged, weapons offline, only rear shields holding at 80%."

"Good job, engineering. Helm, get us the **** out of here, prepare to kick in the Slipstream Core."

"Motherships are pursueing, they seem unaware of the rigged Starbase."

The Freighters suddenly leap forward as their sublight drives receive a whole lot more of power. The ships hold under the greater pressure, with the Engineering people keeping a watchfull eyes on all systems. As Fluffie's ships begin to move furhter away of the blastzone, the Go-uld vessels do not.

"Right. They're dead. Blow it up and engage Slipstream Core!"

"Sir, sending signal to explosives detonators... NOW"

"Fast jump sequence activated. All hands, hang on to something."

In the distance, the big, big Starbase with the five Motherships around it begins exploding. First little fractures in the Starbase's hull is all that is seen by the naked eye. A second later, there suddenly is a big, ****ing flash accompanied by an even bigger, ****ing explosion that tears right through anything in its wake, beginning with the Starbase and then the Go-uld Motherships.

As the shockwaves begin coming awfully close to Fluffie's ships, they jump out, narrowly evading the still rapidly expanding shockwave. On the inside of Cap'n Fluffie's ships, there is an uneasy silence though.

"Don't think those Go-uld made."

"Think Fleet Command will like us for blowing up a Starbase?"

"I know all our ships were full, but how many people remained inside?"

Fluffie, silent as well, nods at his No. 1 and then returns to his chambres, still carying his Go-uld staff around. He is to be alerted if anything out of the usual happens, or if they are nearing the Hope Nebula again.

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

The Shadow Hunter cruised at max. speed through the long columns of light known better as Hyperspace. The ship was cruising along FTL enroute to the starbase in the Hope nebula from which it had departed originally. After scanning the area briefly, the Hunter had collected its fighters and turned to leave the system. Duke watched the two Flapjackonian ships meander about the system as the Shadow exited the gravity shadows of the planets, and subsequently made its jump.

Duke-"Cook, how much longer until we come out of FTL speeds, I am eager to collect my money and add to my fleet."

Cook-"The current ETA is alittle less then 2 hours, sir."

Duke-"Thankyou Cook."

Duke looked over his crew and realized how small it was for the first time. There were only 4 people on the bridge, one was a penguin, the others were Jen, Ian, and himself. The only other crew were the fighters, gunners, and other personel. Duke got up and wandered to the lift elevator.

Duke-"If I am needed, I shall be in my quarters."

Duke turned around and got into the lift which descended to his quarter's level. He got out and walked slowly down the hall, feeling the effects of commanding an Assault Frigate set in on him. He punched in his combo on the keypad outside the room and the the door hissed open. He walked in and turned on the lights, and threw himself onto the bed and fell asleep.

------------2 hours later-------------

Duke walked into the hallway outside his room and noticed and odd silence. He walked down the path to the airlock and noticed that it was open and, odder then that, it was connected to a spacestation hallway. Duke realized that the Shadow was docked at the spaceport in the Hope nebula. He ran back into the ship and up to the bridge.

Duke-"Cook, How long have we been docked and where is the crew?"

Cook-"They are on leave until the next mission and we have been docked for, oh, 5 minutes."

Duke ran back down and out onto the station. He continued running to the Military offices, and collected his 100,000 credits. Then he went to the armory.

Duke-"Excuse me, have you heard of the ship called the Shadow Hunter?"

Armory clerk-"Yes I have, is there a problem with her?"

Duke-"I want an exact copy of her, a sister ship that duplicates her in every aspect. Oh and I will be requiring repairs for the Shadow herself."

Armory clerk-"Captain Duke, that would cost just under 100,000 credits, you have that kind of money?"

Duke dropped the bag of credits in front of her. The bag fell with a clink and the clerk opened the bag. To his amazement, the clerk found 100,000 credits, enough for the new ship.

Armory clerk-"What might this new ships name be so we know what to call her when shes done?"

Duke-"Call her the Shadow Agressor."

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

Some hours later, Duke is sitting in front of a window next to a man of similar build, but a good foot shorter then Duke. They are looking out a viewport at a brand new Assault Frigate, the Shadow Agressor.

Man-"Captain, I am Lt. Gordon Vener. I understand that I have been choosen to pilot the Agressor alongside you in the Hunter. My crew is complete, duplicate of that aboard the Hunter, and the Agressor herself has her full fighter compliment and all of her systems are go."

Duke-"Well Gordon, I see that I have choosen the right man for the job, but you must obey my orders to the letter, and be willing to follow me on the most dangerous of missions. Until Admiral Bakan gives new orders, you and your crew are on leave. Report to the Agressor as soon as orders are in."

Gordon-"Aye sir."

Duke-"Please Gordon, among us captains, no formalities."

Gordon-"Aye....er....uh....Duke."

Duke-"Good man, now if you'll excuse me."

Duke got up and wandered off to his quarters in the station.

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

*The Hologram Adrêsteia stood watching over the bridge crew as they performed there various task. She knew that she could probably perform all of the functions required in a matter of seconds but as she stood there, giving out orders back and forth just like any other federation commander Nemesis found that she quite liked being in a position of authority.*

Nemesis: MD, how is our 'special' patient holding up?

EMH: Well he wouldn't stop ranting about getting back to the bridge and let's not forget crying like a little baby on a constant basis so I injected him with a healthy dose hydroxy-methadone. He'll be fine once he wakes up.

Nemesis: Erm... what exactly do you consider to be a 'healthy dose' doctor?

EMH: Oh not too much... merely enough to put your average human being out for about a week. Nothing major.

Nemesis: A WEEK!?

EMH: Ok so I might've upped the dosage a little bit what's so wrong with that now hmm?

Nemesis: Oh for the love of... Fine. Just make certain nothing happens to him until then.

EMH: But of course. I always take good care of my patients.

Nemesis: *sigh* Bridge out.

*One week. Adrêsteia took another look around the bridge and decided that being solely responsible for a couple hundred human souls for an extended period of time was no longer so appealing. But thanks to the actions of one eccentric AI, she now felt she obligied to do just that. Suddenly all those tasks being performed on the bridge no longer looked so simple.*

-----------------------

*As the pocket battleship Nemesis watched on her eight small shuttle craft zipped back and forth between the battered space station and the enormous unfinished battlecruiser. Their movement seemed much like that of a bunch of white flies hovering around a pair of carcases, frequently landing and docking with the two metal monoliths to pick up and deliver the thousands of surviving refuges. Every now and again a shuttle would arc up to the Nemesis to unload salvaged gear, equipment, parts, ammo and virtually anything else that the damage control onboard the station thought their ship might need or be able to use.
The whole process was taking a long time. A great sense of dread seemed to hang in the surrounding space as the tactitians onboard all vessels involved in the operation tried their best to predict when the main swarm attack would arrive...*

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

Mission #1: As you travel out, your communications officer notices a communication.

Comm Officer: "Sir, I'm getting a distress signal, signal is fading in and out.... but it seems to be old Federation in origin. They are under attack........... loosing power...... I've triangulated their signals, they are very close."

No1: "If it's Old Federation, they must have survived the attacks, we really should help them."

Helm: "Course plotted sirs."

Mission #2 - As your ships are about to leave, your science officer waves at you.

Science Officer: "Sir, I'm detecting.... I don't know what I'm detecting..... seems to be some kind of subspace fluctuation. It seems to be getting bigger....... it's like a bubble of some sort........."

Communications Officer: "Sir, I'm detecting a transmission, it seems to be.... Old Federation in origin, holy shit, I don't believe this...... sir, that signal has the prefix of the old Mothership Guard Defence Fleet. I don't know which ship, but it was in that fleet."

Science: "I have a location, feeding to helm."

Helm: "They are close, within 30 minutes at max FTL speeds? Should we go?"

Mission #3 - You guys have to save the starbase crew. And oh yeah, cause Fluffie bothered me, 12 Gou-uld motherships just dropped out of FTL speeds and are attacking the surivors. The starbase is out of power, and the ship they are evacuating to has no shields nor weapons. Enjoy.

Mission #4 - You have have to kill 5 motherships in the asteroid belt WITHOUT help from the ring.

*flapjack looked over to his navigator for a moment before he had confirmed the position of the signal, he then quickly tapped the coordinates into the computer and set the ship on the correct vector, the Skylight doing the same.*

*Within only 15 seconds the Slipstream drives of both ships had fully charged and activated, 2 blue flashes streak through space as both ships jump away at full speed, cloaking devices already charged and to be activated before exiting slipstream, weapons charged and shields back at full strength*

Re: Onslaught: Tides of Revenge

I would do a proper post, but my creativity is down, and I haven't time.

- Get the station secured and ready for occupation by our forces as a forward base.
- Check no messages have been sent about our attack.
- Wait for new ship to arrive (see above), then fit the weapons from the cargo ships onto it.
- See if the station has any spare fighters that could be used, if so, fit them too.
- Investigate signal carefully with ND and wo2
