Just a beautiful poem
The handicapped man
was suddenly able to walk again
he felt
let's try
a few steps
No
alas
he had it
wrong

Re: Just a beautiful poem
Racing
Aggression
Not
Destructive
Occasionally
Misguided
//////
Reapproach
Stop and wonder
turn around crashing thunder
sinking down
a face in the crowd
When we were there
would we hear
the nights left cold and hostile
shaking in expectancy of fear
Looking back now
the summers last memory
was it you or was it me
that left us in lust love.
////
Me and You
we were always timid
afraid of mornings dew.
Me and you
We were always bored
searching for something new
Me and you
We were always empty
every morning same empty blue
Me and you
We were always mad
thinking our insanities were true
Me and you
We were always fake
pretending sadness was just the flu
Cracking at our cornerstones
to believe in what was lost
we were left with no more
but each other to adore
Can you feel, can you feel me now?
Joking you in the night, This night?
Does it make you feel now, feel right?
does your meak existance burn, burn so bright?
Gasp Gurgle Gasp
your neck, in my clasp
tears down your cheak,
meak with fear
why, why oh why my dear?
why is it always that the last breath of air
makes lifes true loves picture perfect, ever clear?
AND
One more night alone again
thrown across my empty bed.
Peering through the darkend haze
wondering through my minds maze.
One single focus, simple sharp shape,
my minds tool, keeping me awake.
the wall so mello and blue
whispers to me and tells me what to do.
I havnt gone mad in some psychosis
Or been blinded by ill willed hypnosys
this mello wall will serve as my guide
As I drift to sleep, I stare with pride.

Re: Just a beautiful poem
I don't like poems that are simply prose spread out over several lines.
****ing annoying, how are they different if they're simply prose on several lines instead of just one?
Am I
Writing
A Poem Now
If I Do This
Apparently
They Say
I Am

Scintillate, scintillate, globule aurific,
Fain would I fathom thy nature specific,
Loftily poised in the aether capaceous,
Strongly resembling a gem carbonaceous.
Scintillate, scintillate, globule aurific,
Fain would I fathom thy nature specific.

They,
as a matter of fact,
haven't the slightest clue,
about poetry,
Jack.
Free form does not make a poem. It is more or less asthetics or has a bearing on the intended rhythm. Look at Kerouac. He was a madman when it came to form. Not a lick of orthodox meter, but among the worlds most renouned beat poets.

Re: Just a beautiful poem
Unfortunate Coincidence
By the time you swear you're his,
Shivering and sighing,
And he vows his passion is
Infinite, undying-
Lady, make a note of this:
One of you is lying.

Re: Just a beautiful poem
Lo! 'tis a gala night
Within the lonesome latter years!
An angel throng, bewinged, bedight
In veils, and drowned in tears,
Sit in a theatre, to see
A play of hopes and fears,
While the orchestra breathes fitfully
The music of the spheres.
Mimes, in the form of God on high,
Mutter and mumble low,
And hither and thither fly-
Mere puppets they, who come and go
At bidding of vast formless things
That shift the scenery to and fro,
Flapping from out their Condor wings
Invisible Woe!
That motley drama- oh, be sure
It shall not be forgot!
With its Phantom chased for evermore,
By a crowd that seize it not,
Through a circle that ever returneth in
To the self-same spot,
And much of Madness, and more of Sin,
And Horror the soul of the plot.
But see, amid the mimic rout
A crawling shape intrude!
A blood-red thing that writhes from out
The scenic solitude!
It writhes!- it writhes!- with mortal pangs
The mimes become its food,
And seraphs sob at vermin fangs
In human gore imbued.
Out- out are the lights- out all!
And, over each quivering form,
The curtain, a funeral pall,
Comes down with the rush of a storm,
While the angels, all pallid and wan,
Uprising, unveiling, affirm
That the play is the tragedy, "Man,"
And its hero the Conqueror Worm.
