Re: lost, channel 4, tonight
the adverts have indeed intrigued me, but i think the only problem is its the first 2 episodes on tonight, thats 2 hours of tv. Its also followed shortly after by the apprentice, and "how to start your own country is on beeb 1 at the same time.
Too much in one night (

Re: lost, channel 4, tonight
Is it just starting?
If it is, it is really watchable, however it is so watchable that when it gets frustrating and leaves you no clues and no answers you dont care and keep watching. Was watching it in NZ and friends there tell me the final episodes were good. Just about to see the last couple in ozzie.
If you wanna kill time at the same hour once a week, then watch it.

Re: lost, channel 4, tonight
It's worth watching.
Most of it is stupid tricks to keep the suspense up so you keep watching, but it's well made and enjoyable enough. There are high production values and reasonable performances from the cast.

Re: lost, channel 4, tonight
Season 1 was very very good, by far my favourite show at the moment, beware though it just keeps getting weirder and weirder the more you watch it.
The only bastard thing now is waiting for next season

Re: lost, channel 4, tonight
It's pretty good, not brilliant.
It would be a lot better if they didn't try to make it so mystical all the time. I'd give examples but it'd spoil it for you so I won't
You really need to watch 4 or 5 episodes to give it a chance to hook you, it takes a while.

Re: lost, channel 4, tonight
I thought it was quite good too.
I thought the whole "monster" thing was actually just "all in their heads"... until that dude shot a polar bear.
A polar bear? wtf?
Has a ship loaded with zoo animals landed on the same island (is it an island?) or what
Are they supposed to be in a place similar to the Bermuda Triangle?
PS Anyone who has seen it all the way through please please please don't spoil it. Just people who are at the same stage as me in viewing, and can discuss with me

Pi!
(I'm referring to a book here, in case you haven't read it. It's not some cryptic message related to the show )

Re: lost, channel 4, tonight
I thought it was a bit rubbish, fell asleep halfway through ep-3 (on E4 last night...). THe program itself (in terms of effects/acting/etc.) was alright, just the story seems a bit naff.
When I heard the premise of 'people trapped on an island after a plane crash' I did wonder how they would make it last 30 episodes (as american series seem to be...), but their answer to that was 'monsters'. ok.

It's supposed to last a lot longer than 30 episodes (try closer to 100+ episodes).
And it's not really about "monsters".

Re: lost, channel 4, tonight
+'s: good acting, characters with "debth" and moderatly enjoying.
-'s: moderate amounts of psycho-babble, wildly boring parts, main plot everybody forgets and plot-holes en-masse.
Verdict: watch if you're bored.
This was originally intented to be a film, and was subsequently stretched out.. to several seasons.. and it pretty damn well shows. Either way, as far as tv-show goes, it pretty damn ace, but that really doesn't say all that much.
