One Hour Photo
Has any1 seen this film?
Because I was thinking about renting it tonight, however I've heard a few people found it utter crap, but others thought it was excellent.
Would you recommend it?

Robin Williams was in Patch Adams.
I don't think I can look at him.

Rent "Pokémon: The First Movie" instead.
Or anything with Jigglypuff, actually.

I looked at that one and decided it was 'weird'.
"In this brilliant black comedy, young Donnie is haunted by a six foot demonic rabbit that informs young Donnie that the world is going to end in 28 days, six hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds"
I was looking for something that was at least meant to be 'scary'.

First of all, Papa Smurf didn't create Smurfette. Gargamel did. She was sent in as Gargamel's evil spy with the intention of destroying the Smurf village, but the overwhelming goodness of the Smurf way of life transformed her. And as for the whole gang-bang scenario, it just couldn't happen. Smurfs are asexual. They don't even have reproductive organs under those little white pants. That's what's so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. What's the point of living if you don't have a dick?
Son... DO YOU SEE THIS? This is an Anger Prisoner. A textbook example. DO YOU SEE THE FEAR, PEOPLE? This boy is scared to death of the truth. Son, it breaks my heart to say this, but I believe you are a very troubled and confused young man. I believe you are searching for answers in all the wrong places...
You're right. I am! I'm pretty troubled and I'm pretty confused. But I. . .and I'm afraid. Really, really afraid. Really afraid. But I... I . . . I think you're the ****ing Antichrist

AI was excellent if you just ignore the last 3rd. This idea that 3 endings are better than 1 is something that plaugues alot of Speilbergs movies and its that single fact that stops AI being classed up there with the SCI-FI greats like 2001:Space Odesye(sp?)
As for One Hour Photo its a very enjoyable movie and Robin Williams is superb. As Aryn pointed out it can be a little slow which if your the type of movie goer who feels cheated if theres not an unexplained explosion or a scene where theres one guy with a pistol who takes out 100 men who are shooting at him with machine guns, within the first 5 mins then your probally find it mind numbingly boring but if your more of an indie film fan where such slower paced movies are more the norm your probally highly enjoy it.
As for Donnie Darko its an utterly amazing film although and you shouldnt let the premise put you off (and certainly shouldnt do what some of my friends did and get bored with the opening scene and turn off even before Donnie gets back home)
