Pretty standard.

Hi BE how you doing mate. With regard to this round so far having a low planet count and it been a free round. I was bored at work the other day so i thought I'd have a look to see what was going on, logged into my account and only at that point did i notice that round 50 was a free round.
So no wonder the planet count is low (all bit it, it normally is low from what i remember), you actually have to be an active player of the game to even know that its a free round.

Re: Planetarion Signups
If you read the Q&A from awhile ago, you may read that Jagex pretty much doesnt give a damn. PA doesnt make enough profit to make big investments and Jagex wont do it themselfs. In other words, its a dying.
People who draw this conclusion might have given up and didnt bother coming back / signing up.

Re: Planetarion Signups
I gave up on this game around 18 months ago, after many happy years playing it. I had to laugh having just read what's been going on with regard to Jagex, i thought they would have done something by now but it appears to to be the same old story

I'm prepared to be corrected but I don't remember it being less than 1000 accounts at tick-start in any previous round. Do we have any data (either way)?

Oh, I actually forgot that it's a free round. Then yes, that's pretty low.

I only keep track of number of planets at round end. We haven't topped 1k since r44. We haven't topped 1200 since r36, ignoring free rounds.

Re: Planetarion Signups
It seems that I hadn't noticed how bad things were getting.
For the record the number of planets at the end of recent rounds were:
R49 - 852
R48 - 876
R47 - 854
R46 - 963
(According to CT KIA).

712 at the moment; though we do tend to gain a certain amount during the round. Also, late joiners ...

Re: Planetarion Signups
To be honest, the 30 minute tick winter round which we squeezed in probably wore a few people out who wanted to rest.
I have heard that some alliances have taken in some quite substantial amounts of new people, so it may be some people just not playing.
We are looking at getting things in showing how many rounds people have played - (certainly since Round 40)
