Re: Top 10 Overated Things of 2004
Eastenders has been slated recently (this year) by just about everyone, and Razorlight haven't received that much hype.
The Beckham affair was in the "news" for about a week, hardly overhpyed compared to a lot of bollocks in the media, and compared the the original, Sims 2 slipped below the radar.
As far as social commentary goes, you're pretty crap

Re: Top 10 Overated Things of 2004
razorlight are decent. the album's a lot of fun, the lead singer has charisma, and they put on a good live show. NME have gone overboard, but NME are tossers anyway. And Sims 2 got no coverage but should have done, because it was, in fact, the gaming equivalent of Borrell's band: Not life-changing, but a more than worthy distraction.

Underworld (assuming you meant the film) was released in 2003. It's not so overrated as to cross over into a different year.

Watching movies which I realise are shit does not mean I have bad taste, it just means I'm bored. Also I get to hope that they changed the ending and Ben Affleck dies.

Re: Top 10 Overated Things of 2004
I think some people (mentioning no names Mr Zhukov) might need to have it pointed out that being over-rated isn't the same as being "shit". Manchester United (while in my personal opinion, the best team in the world) have this year been slated by just about everyone. Do many people think Mr Rumsfeld is great? Similarly for the US Army?
And good bands are with ever increasing frequency being over-hyped by the media and public, saying the same thing every time just gets tedious. Razorlight have a few good songs, and some more average ones, but on the whole are good, and when you compare them and FF (who I still think are brilliant) to the likes of Peter Andre, 3 of a Kind, Atomic Kitten and "Frankie", then it's easy to see why mags like the NME get so excited about them.

Just read newspapers from a year or two years ago, about the unbeateble US.Army. Even in mainstream tabloid newspapers in Norway you would find articles about how great it was. David Rumsfeld beeing the "far-sighted visionary leader" for the new century, setting the course for U.S "Defence".
And when you ask Man.Utd supporters (I got some who are my friends) they belive their team is magnificent, the squad is complete, We got Rooney so we will be 1337 etc.

1. John Kerry
Everybody talking about how much better he is for the world. In my opinion, he's just as shit as Bush, but far more dangerous, beacause everybody thinks he's much better.
2. The American election
People were running around like it was judgement day or something. Voting changes nothing, it just appears too. Do you think the Iraqi children dying, or the black kids starving in americas ghettoes, or the victims of capitalism cares, or would notice any difference?

Says enough about what? I can remember that TA: Kingdoms came out in 1999, but it doesn't mean that it's anything other than mediocre.
Plus, as has been said, I can remember more than 12 months.

And as popular as Man Utd are, do their fans alone really number enough to justify the use of "over-rated"?
