Brits 25 then?
The awards don't particularly interest me, but the "best song of the last 25 years" was quite interesting.
The nominations are as follows:
*Joy Division Love Will Tear Us Apart
*Kate Bush Wuthering Heights
* Queen We Are The Champions
* Robbie Williams Angels
* Will Young Leave Right Now
None of which would make my top 5, but it'll be interesting to see which the judges go for. I'd struggle to choose between the first two really, the last three are shit choices...

Re: Brits 25 then?
I think Everyone should Boycott the Brits for being Utterly Shit.
Best songs of the last 25 years and they come up with that load of crap? Grr...
They haven't even put in a single 90's Britpop nomination. Blur and Oasis anyone?

Re: Brits 25 then?
They should have had Bohemian Rhapsody, not We Are The ****ing Champions*
The rest of the awards are shit as well - Franz Ferdinand? Oh **** off.
* Sounds like an award I'd quite like to win....

Did they not realise they were meant to be picking the best, not worst 5?
Honestly, they nearly are the worst 5 on that list.

Re: Brits 25 then?
Love Will Tear Us Apart is the only one there that isn't an embarassment. If I had to pick my 5 favourite songs from the last 25 years it would probably be:
The Mars Volta - Eriatarka
Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child of Mine
The Smiths - How Soon is Now
Yes - Close to The Edge
Delerium - Silence
edit: Joy Division - She's Lost Control was released 26 years ago

Re: Brits 25 then?
Also Wuthering Heights was released 27 years ago (1978) and We Are The Champions 28 years ago (1977).

All of the ones nominated are utterly mediocre, except Joy Division.
