Saturday Night Poetry Corner
And so you find yourself down
And fighting to keep your head above ground
Its a wooden box of life and youre trapped inside
Youre floating offshore to turn with the tide
Just keep your composure, youre sure to come good
Theres no executioner with a heavy black hood
Stay calm and think inwards, rely on your self
Youre young, and youre clever, and still in good health
The box can be opened, but not from outside
That first gasp of air is one hell of a ride
Youve saved all your energy, one punch can break through
You swing and you strike, and day pours in anew.
Youre outside the box, youre thinking "What now"
Your mind is as sharp as the blades of a plough
The world now awaits you, but has no idea
Of what you will do, and thats why you are here.

If i had read it, i could claim it was an inspiration.
But the inspiration was Ennio Morricone - L'Arena.

Id complain about the sacriligeous alteration of the original, but i like the thinking behind it

Re: Saturday Night Poetry Corner
What is this life if, full of care
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

You've made a hellish weekend of dealing with freshers worthwhile, my love. Just for this.
I hope that poetry will be a joyous prelude to having your throbbing penis placed in my mouth.

We had to stop it throbbing after someone at school explained the Chaos Theory to me.

I don't believe it's advisable to keep your penis throbbing permanently. Although I suppose it keeps it well excercised.
