The World:

The world is a huge cityscape covered completely by a protective energy dome created by the magnificent “masters” Venture outside this dome is both impossible and trying is deemed to be illegal and punishable by execution.
Science and pursuit of such knowledge is forbidden. It is considered as collusion with the dark arts. The only technology around is that which the marshals allow, and that which the masters produce. These magic items merge into the simple lives of the people. The marshals don’t enslave, they protect and allow the people to flourish.

You: the lovely characters

You are the two metre tall Marshals of the city. You are normal humans stuffed into huge metal bipedal structures; structures that can fly and lift inhuman weights and take brutal damage. Their exterior form gentle and delicate with the helmets that are closed and opaque. The sweeping lines and curves almost beautiful in design. You are the youngest members of the marshals recruited from within the city.

You know that you are not the demi-gods you are believed to be. You know that your masters are few and dying and terrible in heart. You know that in the rare occasion that you are graced with their presence you feel different and dark. You know that the weapons they supply you with are lethal and great. And you know that to disobey their orders is suicide as they are as evil and vengeful as they are great.

You know that there is a faction of humans that are attacking the city, a group that threatens to up heave the life for which you live. The masters will not say where they have come from.

K this is a thread designed for no more than three people so you better get your charactor in quick!! and for the charactor i would like

Fluffie isn’t his real name. He has fluffy hair and upon the discovery that no matter how he tried to unfluff it, it would never work. Right about then he and others started referring to himself as Fluffie. It’s not as if he doesn’t have a real name, but people have just put it – Alfred Joseph Warren – aside since then. He grew up the third child in a wealthy and succesful enough family with besides the two parents four children, two of each gender. He gets along with them well enough if you manage to forget puberty, in which... Well you understand most likely. Since then he has grown and is a generally liked fellow with enough good friends to last him the rest of his lifetime. But there’s always been a dark side inside of him, something he manages to keep hidden from almost everyone. A tendency for violence and cruelness, destroying random objects, disobeying morality and enforcing rules or punishment onto others. He has let it all build up inside of him and to him, it feels as if there’s giant dam inside of him – sturdy and holding for now, but he somewhat fears the day it might crack and crumble down. If ever. [Edit: Added this! Yay: But it's not as if he wants to be mean. It's just there. Like oxygen in the sky and everyone knows you can't breath for only so long.

Random side note: Fluffie has always been good at holding his breath.]

Fluffie likes beautiful things. Music, women, buildings, technology and what not. His tastes vary an awful lot, sometimes even confusing the young man himself. But he just goes with it, as he usually does. As a result of his love for (and his supressed and although not omnipresent need to destroy) beauty his light brown/golden plated Marshal suit is amongst the most beautiful ones around. It’s sleek, long, and tender to the point where it actually looks friendly, a combination of sharp and straight corners and curved lines. While it appears to be longer and thinner than the other suits it really isn’t, that’s just how beautiful it is. Whenever he looks at the humanoid and futuristic looking suit he feels peacefulness and calm emitting from it. But that’s just a lie. His suit is death and destruction, pain and mayhem, cruelness, choas and in fact the law – all combined into one. The head/helmet is large, but still in proportion with the rest of the body and oval shaped in front, with a contrasting rear: square and angled, corner-y looking.

The weapons (this description isn’t maybe very grammatically or whatever correct, but it should get the (basic) idea across. Also I’m unaware of possible restrictions, but we’ll see. And dance!):
Inside the left arm/wrist of his suit is a grenade-launcher. Since it’s inside of the suit, it slings out when needed to fire, hanging/mounted beneath his arm/wrist. It generally just fires explosives, but other ammunition types such as smoke, teargas, cluster/shrapnel, flashbang, napalm, rocket propelled and nail grenades are available. Inside the palm of his left hand is a high power laser which fires single blasts at a time, but they penetrate quite a lot and really, really hurt. The beam fires from a small, round opening inside the palm of his left hand, which when not firing is closed to protect the delicate weapon. When fired, the entire (reddish, of course) beam remaings visible as long as it is travelling, which it does rather fast since it’s a laser and all. Inside the head of his suit there is a rather advanced sensor package installed, giving the Marshal basic to slightly advanced sensor, most capable zoom/scan abilities (think x-ray vision/heat-vision etc maybe?) and targetting software which in conjuction with the arm laser provides for hefty sniping ability. “Sheathed” (really just kind of attached to it, there’s no sheat as such) on the back is a large, reasonably thin but quite long kind of metal rod/pipe, in similar color and structure to the Marshal suit itself. It doubles as a sword and fighting staff (even though it doesn’t look at all like a sword, it really is a kind of long staff, without any distinctive features), kind of being sharp all around and both tips are pointy. Inside both gloves/hands of the suit are magnetic ‘thingies’ that make sure the sword-staff when used, is tightly held. Somehow, maybe magically or through some advanced engineering, the sharpness doesn’t hurt the hands when holding it. Sword can be effectively used one and two handed, though as a staff it really kinds of need both hands. It is really, really sharp.
Then, in the right arm/wrist, also on the inside, is a double barreled (side by side, non rotating, just side by side kind of seperate) machine gun. It fires bullets of a high caliber and most preferably at a high speed, but like the grenade launcher it needs to be slung out. Only the machine gun doesn’t hang under the arm, it sits on top of it. To add to the fear factor of the machinegun when out, a red targetting laser is installed so that if they are fast enough they can see the red dot before they die. Inside the right hand is a kind of tazer/tesla coil device, though it isn’t able to leap out and attack far. Five metres and that is just barely, is the maximum range. More effective is to touch people and shock them, either stunning or frying them. Nice about this gizmo is that when holding the sword (with the right hand), the sword gets the same ability but due to it’s lenght, it can shoot further (farhter?) away, say ten metres with a barely effective range of fifteen metres max.
Now, I don’t know how flight was intended to be, but... Two exhausts in the feet, a set of small(er) exhausts in the shoulders for precise maneuvering and a large thruster somewhere on the (lower) back. All wired to some computer because I doubt if anyone’d be able to keep stable any other way... But that’d be nice. Feet thrusters for basic stuff, aided by the shoulder thrusters and the ‘backpackjetpack’ for the power.

(Not knowing the size and specific allowances/limitations... The ammo for the machine guns can be all internal or maybe clips (two 'slots' for clips, just because it sometimes would look cool to have two) that jam/click/fit into the right underarm. The grenadelaunchers ammostock could also be internal (which'd mean it could be fully automatic, yarrrrr) or manual reload after each shot. In both 'non-internal' situations and if the jetpack stuff is the way you want it, there could be a small kind of "backpack" and some supplies inside or holstered onto the legs/hips.)

Yay, my head's falling apart, if you dont like the history I can change it. (cause it is rather weird and vauge)

God name: Cain
Name: John Michael Cain
Age: 23

History: Though he only remembers scattered splinters of his own past, the man who now calls himself Cain was born into a poor family of eight. As the runt of the bunch, John was picked on and abused for most of his life, The strain of this treatment combined with the shock that came as a result of falling from a third story balcony litterally broke his mind. During its attempts to repair itself a second personality develpoed. This person was near to the anithesis of John's personality, cruel, vindictive, and borderline nihilistic. Fortunealtely this second person, is not terribly active in behavior, and so, can be kept back for the vast majority of the time, however, in times of high levels of stress, he is able to push through and take controll.

Appearence/traits: Beneath a thick mane of stark white hair is an angular but handsom face, inlayed with striking, emerald green eyes, and crossed by a couple scars that give him a bit of a sardonic smirk. This face, is supported by a thin, almost frail looking form that looks like it does not often see the sun. However, simply by the way he holds his 6'2" frame, it is clear that he is neither weak nor incapable of defending himself.

Marshal suit description: Designed with the intention of being both imposing and highly fuctional, Cain's suit has been painted a dark, slightly mottled grey with red to gold highlights. Beneath the two eyes that glow a fearsome sky blue, and the armour that protects its user, the domed "face" of the suit is riddled with advanced sensory equipment. The information gathered by these extensions of Cains eyes and ears is relayed to a screen that wraps around the inside of the helmet giving him a comprehensive view of all that is around him. The nine fins that protrude from the suits back are the main part of an experimental new cloaking device, they create and limit the intense electromagnetic fields required to bend light around the suits surface. The end effect is that the suit seems to become no more that a slight distortion in the air, not unlike an imperfection in a pane of glass.

Weaponz:
Single barrel Auto shot-cannon. This cross between a rail-gun and automatic shotgun is a truly devastating weapon. Capable of firing a fifteen pound solid slug of metal that travels well over twelve kilometers per second, or a similar slug that breaks apart into fifty separate shards after leaving the end of the barrel, twice per second. This allows the shotcannon to punch through a three foot thick wall of concrete as though it were a sheet of paper. Due to its nature firing this weapon severely disrupts the cloaking device and will often disable it entirely for up to a minute.
Phase "Flayer" disintegrator cannon. Origonally developed with mining in mind, due to its ablility to strip peices of matter down to their atomic components. On its first trial run the consept was scrapped, judged to be too "powerful and indescriminant" on the basis that its powerful beam tore matter apart and ofen irradiated or modified it as it was spread to the wind. Later on the idea was revived for use as a weapon. Build in a more compact, and efficient package, the blight cannon has been turned into a shoulder mounted terror weapon. Because it has a harder time taking apart the complex molecular structures found in carbon based life, the result it has on flesh is extremely ugly, as flesh is flensed from bone and ripped apart. Its range is limited to an absolute maximum of threehundred meters, and has a steady effectiveness gradient, making it only really usefull at less than onehundred meters.
Wrist blade. The name just about says it all, this meter long peice of razor sharp metal slides out from an extradimensional portal in the suits right wrist.
Chain sword. Spawned in the twisted mind of Cains alternate personality, this weapon is defenitely horrific. The blade, when not activated is like any other, it simply tapers to the edge much faster than others, however when activated the blade becomes a series of small blades attached to a belt, which is then driven at high speed around a track along the swords length.
Beat stick. There is one thing that can always be called abundant in your average city, this is no less than the the average humble street sign. These are typically mounted on metal poles, and are held in place by big lumps of concrete, as such, they make exellent clubs when the educational bit is removed.

Nice post Fluffie! And same to you Madcat, you both seam to have written straight out of my own mind.

Technology Info:
The idea of all this technology is it takes little skill on behalf of the user to operate. This does not mean to say that any skill the user has is lost on the technology, it was obviously designed for human use…
So when it comes to flight it would be a jump pack kind of flight, as fluffie mentioned. This would use gyros keep you upright and pointing or similar takes you there.
(Having rockets on your feet would be hard to control unless you wanted to go straight up, but I understand what you are saying Fluffie man =P)

The weapons and such in Fluffies post are prefect, just a bit overkill. The only overkill lies in the specifics however, so we can just fudge that in the posts.
i.e. If I say your tesla coil doesn’t knock the enemy out, it doesn’t knock him out and if I say that your sword swings and hits and bounces off doing nothing that’s just what it does =)
This is not trying to belittle your post fluffie, and it is not meant to take anything from you guys rping. Its just a standard constant I abide by, if I think your weapons are hard hitting, the bad guy is going to be able to take a lot of damage!

Oh and before anyone does it, there are no such things as “personal touches” to the weapons as it is highly unorthodox and frowned upon to know anything other than where the fire button is on your guns etc. (sorry madcat, can you edit the bit about your chain sword so that it reads something like “Chosen by Cain’s second personality” or whatever, hopefully you will think of something good =)
Just quickly, Madcat, your mining laser thing, takes a while to heat up before each burst, but can cope with a prolonged burst, and when its charging your suits cloak fluctuates and the noise gives you away. When the thing actually fires the cloak is completely disabled by the shear energy needed for it to work. As the say in mmorpg… NERFED =P

Extra Thoughts:
Just something that you may not know, you guys were recruited, honoured by the task and scouted out by more experienced marshals. You could probably write a story in its self about your recruitments.
Another thing, you guys need names for when in the suits. ‘god names’ if you will, which I have edited into the original post
Another thing that i think may be a tad ambiguous is that the 'recruitment' process is completly top secret as joe public dont know that the Marshals are jsut humans in suits =P

Appearence/traits: Always the weakling, Vicotnik learnt how to grapple in order to defend himself against those bigger than him. He has finally become powerfull, but is still a scared little boy inside of the suit.
Marshal suit description:Camouflagepainted suit with a huge box on the back, containing all the extra equipment Vicotnik is carrying all round the city.
Marshal suit weapons: Cannon mounted on the right arm, pops up when activated, matched by a minigun on the left arm. Shouldermounted anti-air missile, manually reloaded with various missiles in the backbox.
The box contains AP- and AV-mines, as well as high explosive and extra ammunition for him and his squadmates. Depleted uranium, armor piercing, high explosive, tracers etc. The box is easily accesible, most things can be reached without removing it from his back.

History: Erik had to fight his way trough school, always bullied, never winning a fight. The recruiters finally found him as he, bleeding broke the shoulder of an assailant only to be badly beaten by other bullies. The recruiter saw the security and loyalty this kid need and searched for. He was ideal as cannon fodder and hitman without empathy.

Also machine guns and grenade launchers aren't overkill.. they just destroy stuff/flowers! yarrrrr... if the laser was repeating instead of "slowly" firing, that'd be overkill. also, tell me exactly how i fly annndddd tell me if the ammunition stores for the machine gun and grenadethingy are internal or not?

Fluffie stood bend over a flower. It was a beautiful flower, most possibly the most beautiful one ever. He just stood there, not moving except for his hands which kept clenching into fists and then relaxing again. Over and over and over.

He wanted to destroy it. But he didn't. Yet he really did want to.

A marshal suit flew over, probably spotted him there since he was a bit out of the ordinary, standing in a park in the middle of the night, not moving, circled around and semi-silently landed behind him.

(Marshal) "Nice flower."

(Fluffie) "Yes."

Thinking about it later, Fluffie had no idea what the Marshal must've been thinking, but they both kept silent for a while.

"I want to rip it out and tear it apart."

Another silence ensured.

"Why?"

"It's beautiful."

Again a silence ensued and Fluffie, looking back, still hasn't got the singlest clue as to what must've been going through the Marshal's head.

"Do it."

Fluffie looks up from the flower and turns around, staring straight at the impressively large Marshal suit.

"What?"

A weapon appeared out of the suit. It just appeared and then loaded but didn't go and aim at anything. Fluffie remembered being a bit startled by this.

"Destroy it."

"No!"

The Marshal suit destroyed it, quite easily.

"You!"

After that, things went dark for Fluffie. Later it'd turn out the suit had knocked him out and taken him with it.

He was later given a choice: join or suffer some sort of accident.

Fluffie raised his shoulders, gave his ok and since then has kind of begun enjoying being a marshal. Power to the Fluffie!

I will describe the main other character you will be conversing with, the marshal that recruited you. Not extensive for a reason =P

Age: Older than you know
Appearance/traits: Silvering hair and kind soft blue eyes; eyes that are rimed black with the hardship of his years. The aged skin smooth and pale; both side effects of almost constant suit wear and having to live within the protective dome of the city. His appearance doesn’t do justice to his sharp tongue and caustic ways. He is a fearsome figure that you do not want to mess with. He has a way about him when he talks and you do not want to ignore him. To anger him, is to wish on a world of pain
Marshal suit description: A completely black suit with a glassy finish that almost draws you inside. Its blackness appears to almost suck in the light around it. The mask is a smooth curved surface wide and tall to draw on the materials inherent properties. A gaze from the empty void of the face is as paralyzing as a stunning ray. The helmet extends up and backwards, curving over slightly as it tapers off to a stub. The suit itself is of graceful construction lithe but deadly. Its bulk comes from the hefty pack attached to the suits back. The jump suit, capable of propelling the suits form up high and fast.
Marshal suit weapons:
Staff: Doubles as a two handed sword with its shimmering protective field that vibrates the very particles of the thing it strikes shaking it apart. While off and not in use it is normally held or magnetically attached to the back beside the jump pack.
Wrist mounted cannon; emits a slow moving energy pulse of fierce pulsing fiery red. Shield: energy shield the size of a dust bin lid emits from the back of his left hand repelling most fire. Whilst holding the staff the shield changes toan elliptical shape enclosing the length of the staff.
Shoulder mounted rocket launcher: standard fire rockets and energy pulse ones.
Flame thrower under left arm
And lots of other trinkets that you are sure are never ending, Parilis seams to have secret reserves of everything
History:
This man is the one who recruited you. First watching you from afar when you peeked his interest. Then he would arrange a meeting with you in a normal environment before having you whisked to an undisclosed location. He has showed you through the training, you have been his prodigies.

The voice was old an wise and being slightly distorted by the mechanical devices inbuilt in Mortimer’s waxen black helmet.

“Little do they know the dangers to them, little do they know of the enemy that defies us and our masters.”

Mortimer paused, and surveyed you the fearsome triplet that he had found and crafted. The empty slick black face gaping at you. The room is large and empty, with no obstacles that could impede suit movement. On the first floor of HQ. The briefing room. Doubly sound proofed and protected from prying eyes and ears.

“You did me proud at the celebration and soon everyone will know your names.”

An icon flicks up and flashes on the interior of your suit helmets.
BORDER ATTACK! Coordinates followed and a full report. The précised version reads:

‘Attack location: (coordinates denote an area by the west border)
Information: A couplet of marshals already engaged a host of thirty faction rebels. Heavily armed with unseen enemy attacker with superior fire power. Backup requested Asap.’


Parilis did not wait long.

“Come on then, let us move like the whips of our masters were upon us”

The side wall of the building swings up to reveal the bustling streets. He leads you out onto the forecourt of the building among the darkened scorches of the concrete wasting no time for a display to the watching devote worshipers, he ignites his boosters and heads off into the sky leaving only smoke, fire and looks of awe behind...

ooc- Actually, your Nerfing was something that I had already thought of, though, it'd be killing the clocking device simply due to the huge amount of power drain. But I was getting tired and forgot about it. :\ -ooc

It was quiet, finally quiet. He had gotten away. He could hear the faint commotion that assuredly surrounded the now burning hospital, and the roaring flames, but it did not matter, he was all but certain that he had not been followed, and those that would persue him were probably dead. John M. Cain shuddered as a feeling of gloating victory swept through him, he had fullfilled the snarled threats that were the only words that could be destinguished throughout their torturous "treatment".

For the past year and a half since his fall, John had been locked deep within the psych ward of the hospital, where he had been subjected to several nasty methods that were supposed to cure his schizophrenia, all of them failed. That year and a half was one long blur of unsurpassable boredom puntuated by unbelievable pain. Through those eighteen months he had planned and waited, hoping for a real chance at escaping. It had come in the form of a careless orderly bringing him his daily dose of sedatives, John had been surprisingly dosile the past month and the man had gotten slack in the fitting of the straight jacket. John had long ago figured out the thing, and was now able to undo enough of the sraps to move with relative freedom. The orderly hardly knew what hit him. From there it was fairly easy to get out, but that had to come second, after he had doled out his retribution. He rigged up a small heater that he had found with a peice of paper places strategically so that it would eventually catch fire. This simple firestarter he placed in an oxygen filled room, started it, and left. Ten minutes later, John had stolen some clothing and gone out the back way, by now the staff had stumbled upon the orderlies grisly fate and had set off alarms, ensuring that the peice of smouldering paper would not be found before it was far too late. When the flames hit the oxygen lines they became a violent explosion, the sheer heat cutting through more than one wall to ignight the adjacent rooms. In the pandemonium that ensued, John was all but forgotten.

Leaning on a convenient dumpster to catch his breath, John began planning his next moves, after all he had not really expected his simple plan to succeed. But here he was, free at long last, and it looked as though he would stay that way, unless... At that moment a faint swish in the air caught his attention and he whirled around, only to catch the fist of a marshal in the forehead. When he awoke some time later, he was given a choice, become one of them, or face public execution, it was an easy one.

The battle raged in the space between the dome walls and the edge of a particularly decrepit eight story building. The rebels were up in the cover provided by a crashed and half buried aircraft that leaned against the building crumpled and broken. Pot holes and other debris riddled the ground and the enemy force at a well rounded defence and were loosing fire that only marshals should be able to unload.

As you approach you see the flashes of energy weapons and feel the disruption of air from the bright explosions. As you approach you see the form of Marshal Irrinis on the earth by a large crater despatched before your arrival.

As you close from above, you see the remaining marshal stop and convulse and spark. He hung as if impaled upon some great sword and then collapsed as the shimmer let him go. The shimmer is hard to distinguish to sensors as well as sight. It is flickering now though, a chink in its cloak…
Fire has lessened however rebels have noticed your arrival and are rallying together to direct fire towards you.

As you come with in 50metres of the target you pass through a barrier that has not shown up on any of your sensors and you feel your flight devices splutter and choke and misfire before eventually stopping entirely.
You are on the earth, what now?

ooc/ lol, fluffie, i missed your posts, yout clips are exteral, but the clips themselves hold 200 rounds and you fly with a jumpack on the back (an like just how you said if you want, i didnt read it properly the first time) and your not over kill, your just right, my little fluffie ^^/ooc

Ever since being captured, Cain's only spoken words had been: "Sign me up." this was primarily due to his suspicion that he would be taken and executed anyway. Through the selection of his suit, and weaponry, the only thing that had indicated anything about his thoughts was his constant glare, and a pointing finger. His stoic silence continued through the cerimony, and even when the warning flashed on the screen before his eyes. However, when he stepped back out into the sunlight, looked up into the sun and knew he would not be taken to killed that he was in fact, truly free of his past, he chuckled and started up his booster pack. A dull droning whine that rose to a howling, shrieking, cresendo eminated from the large hunched back of his suit. After a couple burts of bright blue fire, the thing spews forth a great cone of flame and his suit rockets into the sky leaving one more scorch mark on the ground. Rising up with his three fellows, Cain was truly pleased, flight had always been one of the things he had drempt as a child, and even into his later years. Now with that desire fullfilled, he reminded himself that there were things to do, so he consentrated on the job at hand. He quickly pulled up a map of the target area, knowing where they were coming from turned to be a rather usefull thing, and he made some slight adjustments to his flight path, taking him well off to the side from the others.

When his jump pack gave out, Cain cursed in irritation, by now he had become rather separated from the others in his attempt to get behind the enemy. But now entering freefall, he saw that things might not be as bad as they could be, an assumption that would be swiftly be put up for debate as his suit crashed bodily into a wall two stories up. Keeping his wits about him, Cain managed to land on his feet, he knew he was now in a position where he would be coming in at a perpendicular angle to that of his fellows. He could not actually see the fire fight, but he could hear it clearly, and so made his way towards the stattico sound of weapons fire.

When the rebels finally came into sight, Cain was only a couple blocks away. He grinned evilly and laughed as his suit flickered and dissapeared from sight, at the same time he pulled the chain sword from its place and extended his wrist blade. It was indeed time to unleash the furies. Once fully cloaked, Cain started foreward at a steady walk, as soon as he was within thirty meters he accellerated to a jog, and then to a flat out run. The pounding crunch of his suit's feet slamming into the pavement would eventually warn the rebels of his coming, but at a mear ten meters out, he coils up and launches himself into the air. At the top of his arc his sword roars to life, cutting in over the sound of the gunfire. He figured someone else would start on the cloaked guy, in the mean time the supporting infantry had to be taken out. His suit comes down with a resounding crunch, mostly due to the unfortunate bugger who happened to be beneath it, and weapons already moving. One man is impaled on the wrist blade and viciously flung aside as another is torn messily in two by the falling sword. As most of the group turns towards him the spraying blood of his most recent victim spatters on his suit, giving them something to fire at and a gruesome display of the fate that awaits them.

more suit-ness

ammo supplies are all worked into the inside of the suit. inside the legs and hip area (all around a bit) is a plenty supply of different kind of grenades. a hatch has to open in order to grab them though. the clips are stored inside of the belly/chest of the suit and slide out one by one as needed from a hatch that is normally (when not giving the fluff ammo) closed. (think robocop-y-like-ish) there are attachment points on the outside of the hips and front of the torso to store extra ammo if desired, but usually i hope the supplies inside are enough. this makes the suit maybe a bit bulky, but hey, the description already suggested that through the magic of appearance it still looks thin/sleek/oh so pretty.

if possible i keep the feet-thrusters because they are cool and the shoulder thingies because they are also cool

as said before the whole tesla coil/taser thing is gone

btw, does everyone have shields? if so, i'll have to incorporate one. can't fall behind ey

Fluffie gracefully leaped out of the opening and into the air, igniting the thrusters in both his feet to catch and swiftly stop his fall, leaving him hovering in the air. Slightly above him the other Marshals appear and rocket off, shortly followed by the plated golden Marshal Fluffie himself as the booster on his back joins in on the fun. In flight no-one seemed to talk so he too decided to keep silent, thinking ahead instead. A fight, with Marshals requesting help - something he never would've imagined needed or even possible! He knew better now though. They, he himself too after all, were 'just' humans. Humans inside mostly beautiful but very effective killing machines, but still 'just' humans.

He had thought about putting a flower emblem somewhere on his suit, but after considering decided against it. Choosing a different God-name had also wandered around in his thoughts, but did not know of a fitting one. Yes, there was the danger of someone possibly linking the 'new' Fluffie to the old one, but... Any danger of discovery could quickly be subdued. Worrying would be mostly useless until a moment appeared that it was actually necessary.

In flight he had already loaded a clip, but on final approach he saw a Marshal laying suspiciously silent in a crater: something to worry about. With a silent snarl he reached for another clip and loaded it beside the one already present, deploying the double barreled gun as well. Thinking about the coming battle and planning as much as possible his tactics, something went wrong.

His jets stopped working and he was moving downwards, more than just kind of uncontrolled. Snarling again, slightly louder, he braced himself and shortly there-after impacts safely. Back on the ground he looks towards the enemy's positions, looking for whatever could've distorted his ability to flight. Weren't only the Masters supposed to have the art to do such advanced things?

But, who knew what other discoveries the world had yet in store for him. Moving slightly behind some cover, he lets the weapon on top of his right arm speak and fire a stream of bullets at the rebels while scanning and observing them, trying to find and determine the most important targets first before using specifically aimed violence...

Vicotnik races in, close to his commander, his beloved and trusted commander. Thoughts of failing, to be inadequate yet again falshes before his eyes as he pulls a grenade from his pack, magnesium and phosporus combined as a lethal tool.

Just as Vicotnik himself was a tool for the masters, the beloved masters.

Suddenly the suit reacts in a strange manner, shutting down propulsion and sending him towards the ground. Vicotnik just barely manages to rip the box from off his back and lands rolling, coming up, still moving forward.

"Engaging hostiles"

Crouching Vicotnik increases his speed and chucks the grenade in a wide arc, attempting to get it over the plane, or perhaps onto the top, in a attempt to smoke the heathens and rebels out. The people who tries to make him look bad, they are jsut like the old bullies, just like the cowards who attacked him. They had to die.

ooc/ i wanted to do this post before i wnet to sleep, thats why it has a slightly weird structure for both ark and fluffie. Oh and it might be an idea to read all of whats below to work out wtf i mean =P enjoy!/ooc

Parilis
Parilis did not take long to make up the ground; he was heading straight for the shimmer, what he saw first—what he hated first. Parilis’s jump pack lay where he had thrown it once he had torn its malfunctioning for from his back.
He now headed for the fresh corpse of the marshal and was close before it hit the ground.
He hurled a smoke grenade along the ground before him; both to hide him from the enemy suppressing fire and to show up this unseen attacker. His movements would surely show him in this smoke, Parilis’s superior skills would be able to pinpoint his movement.

Parilis’s head phones murmured just before he entered the barrier of smoke he had created, the buzzing had the patterns of voice but he could not make it out. The hud said it was from Vicotnik

[Parilis] Attack, you know what to do.

Cain:
When the suit gives out there is a little surprise, you had never known the Masters magic machinery to break.

The tumble against the wall is nothing, your suit grinds against the wall showering you with dust and debris, but thankfully it slows you down. Little or no damage caused.

Your radio crackles twice, once from Vicotnik and again from Parilis, neither calls are audible.

As you close angrily on the enemies soft flank a few notice you’re coming barely in time. A few manage to swing round to the sound of your coming, hardly quick enough though. The one beneath you hardly had a chance at all. A few automatic shots fly relatively close to your invisible head and a grenade explodes to your left out of sight. Some credit was due, whether you would give it to them is a different story.
One was impaled quickly his dead corpse swiftly sent flying as another was rended by your sword.

The remaining targets swing round bringing hulking guns to bear on the blood dripping from your suit. There wasn’t as much terror here as there should have been, you are a demi-god, they should be petrified into submission and down on their knees in worship. Alas, they stood still unwavering; five in this section of cover had commenced firing scrambling down low into the little cover the old wreckage afforded them.
Two more still scrambled to get distance on you and to alert the others in nearby pockets of cover to your left.
The aircraft, the gutted remains of one of the Masters presents to all, is in front of you blocking your view forwards, to where the others must be. Small openings are all it gives, small enough for a human to shoot from. To the left you are guarded from the other enemies by a mass of earth. To your right the aircraft bends and crumples up the side of the decrepit building that lies six metres away. Both the crumpled craft and the building could hold enemies but there is no fire in that direction. The two running are rapidly approaching the crest of the mound on the left. And their energy pulses are singing the air near your suit. What will you do next?



Fluffie:
The only cover near is a desecrated vehicle two metres ahead and the knee deep crater you are in. You are out on the far left flank almost in line with the building that is being held up by the fallen flying device. Vicotnik is to your right and behind and right and running out clutching a grenade. Parilis is further right heading for the newly downed Marshal.

Your radio barks at you in your helmet, just static but the hud says it was Vicotnik. As the transmission finishes you see Vicotnik’s pace quicken and him launch a grenade high and over the aircraft. You see the gout of flame and feel the rumble of the explosion.
Again your radio barks, but it’s Parilis this time and still static. You see him charge into a cloud of smoke that he has created. The meaning of his message completely ambiguous. You are not sure where Cain has got to, you saw him moving left during flight on a flank knowing him, best place for him. The area around you is being peppered with fire quickly diminishing your cover. Shots fly passed your head and a slug glances off your left shoulder leaving a scratch on the paint work.

All of your scanners are going haywire due to—probably—the same disturbance that affected your jump pack. You can only go on the weapons report of the enemy. Your fire is fierce and a few of the weapon reports cease when your weapon is trained on them, however the extent of your damage is unclear. Some precise shooting is going to be required. See below: -

Vicotnik:
Parilis is ahead and close to your right and Fluffie is far left and laying cover with his machine gun. You see Parilis lay down smoke on his target using it to highlight the cloaked fiend. Various cover is spread about you but little of any substance.

Your radio crackles after your call, Parilis—your beloved commander—is responding. The broken static is disheartening though, and could have any meaning. Could it be that the commander was in trouble? There were no clues pointing either way.

Your grenade sails high and straight landing precisely where it was aimed. Its detonation is clean and fierce and you see forms flung high and clear. Fire around the area diminishes slightly. Death has been dealt by you. This display however has attracted fire, an energy beam glances your thigh (right) and your crouched running is checked. There is no pain and there are no damage warnings from your suit. See below: -

Fluffie and Vicotnik:
You see the large ruined building in front eight stories high and the ruined craft that runs down it and half way to the domes edge. There is weapons fire, both energy and projectile coming from all down the plane. A few figures can be seen nearer the end of the protective cover of the craft and there is a rather large group congregated in a large pot hole almost at the domes wall. A laughable situation for them, despite the debris that amounted to a fair amount of cover. They were trapped against the dome wall with a twenty metre run to the protection of the craft. Their only retreat is through the dome to instant death or become an easy target.
There was weapons fire from a hell of a lot more than thirty targets from your count, maybe even double that but all is not clear without scanners.

Fire suddenly intensifies around you, shots coming ever closer and a new danger; four missiles are loosed from the right of the craft. They were closing fast, their targets obvious, and their aim true… two for each of you.

Cain studied the men before him for a moment, perhaps not the wisest move but effect is effect, he was both surprised by their lack of fear and pleased. If notheing else, they would be far more of a challenge this way, killing grovelling people was not terribly fun. Sublimating his curiosity, Cains attention was soon turned on the two retreating men, and a very acute irritation filled him when a pulse of energy burnt the air directly in front of his face. He turned away from the impudent pair that shot at him, and with a cackle darted towards one of the pilings that supported the decrepit building. Still expressing his twisted amusement he disengaged the jump pack, and, fully ignoring the suad of men who would by now be shooting at him, picked up the dropped pod. He spun again, and flung the bulky item towards the opening of the airplanes interior. In the same motion he dropped his sword, disabled his cloaking field, and pulled his shotcannon from the place it hung from.
"I hope they like barbeque..."
A burst of bright light, too fast to be even registered, burst from the end of the gun as the fired slug instantly became white hot. As it breaks and fans apart it strikes, and passes through, the fallen pod, ripping through the fuel cells. The shards continue on, passing through the planes body, and everything within easily, stopping one and a quarter of a building later, even before the flames of ignighting fuel burst from the gaping holes in the pod.

As the great fireball engulfed him Cain pondered the presence of the corpse that he had noticed shortly before firing his weapon. It took him a few moments, but when he realised that it had been one of the masters, an irrational wave of dread swpet over him. All his life he had heard that these beings were no less than gods, he knew now that they were no more than humans, very powerful ones indeed, but human none the less. That these rebels had killed one was actually a littel shocking. His next thought was that someone, well actually a lot of someones would be rather pissed at how callously he had treated the corpse, but that was a John thought, and there was no room for John in a firefight. Besides, it would do very badly to have to corpse of a master around for all to see, and it was just a dead body, the entity that had inhabited it had more important things to do, like... be dead. Vicotnik was surprised when the weapon struck him and looked down, maybe the scanners were off, maybe nothing was working?

The missiles that rise are deadly, he knows it. What kind of targetting device might direct them? Vicotnik starts running sideways, away from Fluffie, whilst pulling out decoys fromh is pack, chucking them behind him as he is running. Maybe he can divert some of the missiles from Fluffie as well, or at least from himself...

One can of aluminium explodes behind him as he throws it, spreading thin ribbons of hot aluminium through the air, hopefully creating a radar and laser image, a hot one. Vicotnik can't really do anything other than pray, pray for the masters, as he pushes his running to a maximum.

Fluffie's soft voice was all for himself inside the helmet of his suit. He stopped firing and reached for one of the ammo stores on his hips, taking out a nail grenade and loading it into the by now deployed grenade-launcher.

But there's was just the slightest flaw in his plan, not so much through his own doing though. Without much thought Fluffie jumped up, jumped up high and over the incoming rockets as soon as he saw them hurling towards him, supposedly with more intent than just grazing his shoulder. Even before he touched the ground again, his left arm had fired the nail grenade - but not at the previously intended target. It flew fast and it flew straight, heading to the right of the craft in a similar, but reversed, trajectory of the two rockets.

Guessing and also hoping for the tiniest bit that it'd be enough to distract or maybe even disable the rocket-launcher wielding fools, Fluffie skids to a halt as he once again comes down onto the ground. Getting back up, he empties the first of his two clips at a large but undefined area of the enemy's emplacements, not really aiming for anything or anyone, but just discouraging them and hoping to pin them down. Not that he really needs them pinned down, as he starts sprinting forward: he still had an account to settle.

As he comes closer and closer to the offender and desacrater's position, he starts peppering his and his friends' cover with machine gun bullets: half aimed, half pinning them down, resulting in his friends one by one dropping dead.

Softly, Fluffie whispers to himself and even though his primary target can't hear it, the man sure as hell must've had some idea he was in for it.

"Ready for the grand finale, boy?"

Once more and greatly aided by the power of his armor, Fluffie leaps up and forward - straight over the cover and right into their hold out - killing everyone in a rain of bullets as he comes down again. Everyone, but one. One that as Fluffie hits the ground again, finds the Marshal standing right next to him, towering over him.

But that, was not all.

Fluffie was holding the man's face firmly with his left hand.

A moment later, the man's head exploded as a furious and red laser beam rams through it, carelessly dismissing it into a blood, red pulp. Taking the body by what remains of the head and neck, Fluffie tosses it away in the direction of some other fools, who by now most surely would be firing at him again. Letting the second clip fall to the ground, he loads two fresh ones and gets behind some cover again while now shooting precisely, taking down, or at least attempting to do so, one enemy per burst of fire while trying to reasses the situation and secure a next objective...
