And people said Fury was bad................

I think anyone saying Eclipse is the evil one this round is seriously mistaken, because to be perfectly honest, had Dragons launched on Fury, Fury would have struck back and struck back hard they would not have allowed someone else to take the retal on it if they were short on roids or simply because its the principle of the thing, you dont let an allied BG show aggression to you, even if it did cause an incident with WP it would've been there own fault.

Although politically it is a very nice stratagy it;

a)weakens Pack because Ely have shown they will side with Eclipse over Pack.
b)makes Elysium grateful for the roids.
c)helps Eclipse distance themselves from there predecesor.

TBH, wolfpack deserve it any way, they had a chance earlier in the round to rekindle the brotherhood with nos, but choose not to thinking that dingo would come running whenever they call him,

Eclipse : Kudos played this out brilliantly, perhaps better than fury would have in a similar situation, but thats more to the fact that you are very different.

Elysium : You gained a few roids, but made many enemies, as well as siding with a short-time ally, against a long-time ally, politicaly not the best way to maintain your image, stratigically sound as siding against wolfpack gives you more targets than if you sided with them, when the war comes that is.

Wolfack : Blunder after blunder, pollitically and stratigical failures across the board, shafting your long time partner Nos, thinking they would still be waiting after you fed them to the dogs, pretty stupid as not many people in Nos' command are humble.

All in all, this whole round has been a shamble, so why would anyone stop now, keep it up gives us something amusing to watch.

Am I the only one spotting resemblance with 15:19 in round 7 and 40:9 in round 9?

I think Sakera will be demoted soon and that 40:9 won't make it to the end of the round.

hehe, tzu ain't it like this.. we decided to stop playing this round.. and i preferably like to choose what gal makes retals on me atleast.. i chose 40:9, wich is better the current no1 gal what has mates or 13:7 what's member pretty much gave execuse to stop this game due to i'm fedd up alliance politics like are all of us.

atm u could call our galaxy retal farms if u want. and only 2 players i gues are playing one in vacation mode and one just fooling around.. what we will def.

hmm, if creators even decide anything about retals.. they should prolly delete half of top10.. because pretty much half of them have retalled on our gal.. and i gues all of them have retalled somewhere. We'r just da shining example how retalling should be done..

This is very similare to the Fred/parracida thingy in round 7.
Parracida choosing to let Fred retal him. Didn't go to well...

It is different when u go to a gal and offer your roids.. and they accept. It is then farming.

but if we choose who will retals on us.. it's farming... by the gal attacking us.

Retals is a term for alliances.. and so long as we choose inside our own alliances.. i gues it's retal.. or does this mean that only hc gals can retal...

I wish retals were illegal, then a ****load of Eclipse planets would've been deleted today

/me looks at the nice red color on his overview, cudos to you, but I think 50 fleets were too little. Can we make it 100 next time?

You seem to confuse 'accepted' retals with the overal word of retaliation.

The "accepted" retals were when a target know he broke the rules and accepted a fleet to land upon him and cause a predetermined punishment to his own planet.

This was what was termed as another way for farming.

The more common retal nowadays is just making sure allies in that targets vicinity is aware of the allied attack and don't defend. Sometimes informing the planet itself it is a retal. Propaganda may be used to try and get them to not get defense, but it rarely works. Overkill fleets are needed to guarantee penetration.

This isnt farming, just a method for hitting hostiles in allied galaxies.

oh and zhil, if a planets PA mails you to run your fleet so he can get roids as a part of a "retal", do u think its farming? basically like telling someone to run their fleet so he can get free roids. if thats not farming... tell me what is?

Hmm... It seems to me that after reading this thread there are ways around this no-farming policy that the creators have made.
For instance-
Why doesn't the top Ely gal (well call the top Ely gal, gal A) tell a lower ely gal (well call the lower ely gal, gal B) to attack them. Then they go and retal gal B that attacked them and gal B runs there fleet. I mean that seems fair... even if u newsied it would show that gal B attacked gal A so the attack is justified.
Just a thought...

i say "farmed" i mean attacked and took, and there wasnt a damn thing i could do about it .. but maybe im been picky ..

pld 40:9 tbh .. they have capped an awful lot from my gal (in excess of 2k probsbaly from me personally) .. and they have never stopped coming, or trying .. if they r the farmers u claim i doubt this would be the case ..

Azrael, a peon of p9 ... im sure one of u guys with half an ounce of intelligence can work out just where ..

If you say so, but if I said I could proove Sakeras gal has been cheating and farming, then I ment it. But I won't, and the reason is loyalty to friends, which also is the actual reason why some of his gal-m8s have cheated, though none the less they have and his claims that no-one in his gal has just makes it sound as if he's doing his best to avoid investigations into any of his gal-members.

I ment have said this before but I rarely find a reason to lie about such things, what LordN said should make it pretty obvious that I'm not lieing and that we've covered all bases, in protection of the ones we "chose to retal us".

I have an open minded view on such a subject, i don't believe, that sakera is a cheat, nor can i imagine him being in a galaxy with cheats. It would insult my friendship with Sakera dearly if he was, thus i don't think he is. (Yes children thats what friendship is about, believeing one another). However if proof was to arise i'd not swear blindly that is bs just b/c sakera is a mate.

I was being sarcastic and paraphrasing what you said - that you wont report Sakera because, even though he is apparently a cheater and you have proof, he is your friend so that makes it all ok.

Redux is a term for a repeat with a few small things changed. In r7, people reported their alliance 'mates' because it served their own interest (to win by them being deleted). But they didnt do it earlier on in the rnd because they needed them at that time, they were fighting the same enemy ofc - wanx.

Honestly, its quite pathetic.
