Two of my housemates upstairs got ntl broadband installed for them to share.
What they've done is connect one computer to the modem via the usb port and connect the other computer via the ethernet cable to the modem.
There is no connection connecting one computer to the other, just both to the modem.
This kinda worked but what they've been doing is having to disconnect and reboot one if the other wanted to use the net. Both computers couldn't be online at the same time.
Now one of them (the ethernet connected one) has stopped working completely.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this or what a better setup would be? They didn't really want top fork out for a hub or new network card
