Hey Look This Was Me! Round 31
As usual! shocked one hasnt been put up yet.

I was a Unif Cath in a bp of 2 caths and 3 xans. aim was like almost everyones heavy fi/co.
I had a good start as i always do with cath but then the big gangbanging began just as i had exams, so in emo style i sort of gave up and took a week before i got back into it.
Middle of the round i started splitting my fi into 2 fleets and hitting the same target same eta, if i was through eta 4 i could pull one and have it back in 4 ticks to try on something new.
I had some good lands this last week and managed to get myself back in the t10.
Also owe quite alot to those trusty Terrans with heroic nixes to save me from de incs.

Overall it was okay, cath was very good. shit against itself though, the stats were the worst i have ever played and i probably wont be playign next round due to retarded changes with capping.
Post away all.

I am not a cath player... first time I had played them as I didnt fancy playing terran with those stats so I thought try something different..
I went democracy for the research and stealth bonus.
I didnt pick a fancy alliance or BP
I knew I wasnt going to keep roids easily so I opted for cov ops
to subsidised my income quite surprised I ended up as 4th for cov ops.

I played in a BP with atomic, hosie, deathrow and bavaria. Everyone including me seemed to have failed at some point. The best that happened was Dark Angel (who later emo'd out) and Linkie exiling in.
First played Xan Fi/Co .. then it turned out that was actually shit and after a bit of idling I saved up some stuff and bought a decent CR fleet and then the pro capping started again. Because I could rely on atomic and dark angel usually having their anti fi home i didnt bother building it and roided away with the cruisers.
The stats where absolutely terrible and no fun and this whole round was pretty shit.

My first decent finish in pa - pleased to get where I did considering my galaxy (but thanks to Red- and rodneyy for saving me alot!) and the 14 man alliance I was in. Was fun early in the round to paste galaxies with 2 fleets each of BS, we did not see much defence against it.
I had to go heavy on Lancers to stop Cath/Xan teamups, and it worked apart from the occasional xVx/Asc teamups. I liked Etd this round and I am surprised not many others picked them despite the dominance of FI/CO.
Only real down point was when I lost 17 structures and 1k roids to ROCK.., which was well done! Completely my fault for not investing in enough Broadswords at that point.
Will play next round as a scanner to pay back the defence that was sent my way when I needed it

Couldn't find anyone to buddy pack with so went random, my gal was always around rank 40ish so we got pretty constant incomings from the mid to lower sized alliances (and Conspiracy).
Got some great defence from xVx early on but later on in the round I just couldn't hold on to my roids.
Went with pure FI fleet for attack, with locusts, widows and scarabs always in demand for ally defence. Think I only had to recall a couple of attacks, from xan defence which was probably fake, but not worth risking.
Overall I had my first semi-decent finish, and had a lot of fun early on when the wars began but then things all got a bit boring.

I was an extremely lazy scanner, I barely passed a thousand. Got exiled around for the first 600 ticks because galaxy channels were ****ing boring. Finally ended up in JM's galaxy (say what you will, but it's far from boring) where I stuck around until round end.
That fantastic OOT support fleet got used exactly twice, which had as much to do with my laziness as with the fact that I'd forgotten to put my number in Munin. Oops.

Boring round. I intended to be completely inactive pre-round, but was then given one of the credits we won last round on the condition that I was somewhat useful. Was lucky enough to exile into 1:10 at pt75 on my 4th-5th try and got a pretty good start after that. Took a bit of a beating when we had constant incs from the "coalition of justice!" (incs 6 nights in a row and every 2-3 nights before and after), then managed to climb again after the NAP and was pushing for t10.
Then I got bored, and crashed 1.5mil value on a teamup soon after, and then another 500k-1mil when my router messed up my def recall from achi. After that I just used my fleet to escort and defend for the last 10 days.
I also managed to get closed about half an hour after the last tick for a galbanner that had been up for half the round (hence Olata's comment above) but was then re-opened.
My first t100 finish, shame the round was so boring though.

First round I've ever played as etd and must say i've enjoyed it alot.
FR/DE was a good fleet which protected me from alot of incs and got me roids and xan fi
Later in the round I switched to BS more since it was landing more often.
Enjoyed the round because of my alliance (Insomnia) and galaxy eventhough they had the tendency to go emo (HI HK & ZEYI!!!)
Another round of finishing just outside of t100, atleast I got in t100 value this time
see you next round! (maybe)

Not going to post my stats because they don't quite tell the story of the round, just the last day of it.
Fun overall, but only because DLR took the fight to us and my galaxy was a nice (if quiet) place to be. Not much in the way of inc, good crossdef with the 0 fleets, roided happily until real life got in the way. Crashed epically (but entirely accidentally) on Cortana with a day to go. Scanning next round, yadda yadda.

was cathaar scanner this round, and a zomg look at my locust def slut that xp defended with 1 ship fairly often. the majority of which went the distance and landed, so those 160 were not launch recalls for rankings! covert ops are boring after around tick 300, but after i took the #1 spot, i set my goal at 750 successful ops for the round. probably the main reason i continued on to 800 was to help Cooling win last place. i hope he posts more details about his last place finish, but the gist was that the last planet was paid so support team could not delete it. i talked to him around that time and had him fire all his security guards so that i could blow up his roids with covert ops - which helped him win last! o/\o
after sitting on 100 roids for most of the round, i finally built ships which leads to the other exciting part for me which was the last week. with escorts from toot, tearz, baguar, and others, i was able to land for some giant xp and roid gains. thanks guys! sorry i didn't make it to t100 because of the dice wiki and SPOOOON + ND piggies on the last attack.

Wanted to go cat this round but thought that given the ill will towards cats most of the time in asc that I would be kicked out, compromised and londo went cat while I was xan - he got the better side of the deal
was a buddy pack of me, londo, light, adjuhh and lukeylove who replaced hiall at the last min. Galaxy did very well, particularly to start with, had no more than half hearted attacks on us, no major gal raids just a few planets hit, so everyone did very well with gal purring along at 3rd. This was due to us randomly getting members of all the big alliances, unfortunatly this was not so good when asc was at war, moonless went on holiday leaving Londo and I alone with no ingal support during the hight of the war (had managed to get enough def when it was just the bgs) so we got rather roided as with alot of the rest of asc. I also lost 400k value in 2 defences that were xan on xan so loosing my high rank.
After the nap the whole gal seemed to go inactive except the asc's. Adjuhh was part of the evo crash on cardi, light then crashed 2mil value (goodbye T10 ) just before we got our first major incs of the round. essentially no one who was being hit was active enough at this point to be on for the xVx and asc incs we got at the same time (including logical who had been looking like he would get T20+). so we had 120 hostile fleets to about 10 friendly(mostly the ascs defending against xVx waves ) on a total of 10 planets. Lost 40% of our roids, round over. Gaining xp managed to get us back up to 8th by round end.

Went for DE cooperating with a Cathaar on attacks. Mainly roided safe instead of big. im happy my only roidlosses were to a crasher, but normally id hgave twice as many roids capped(and lost)
Got top 100 which isnt bad considering the political situation at the end
BPed with Troll TwistedSould jnz and Bee. Our gal had crappy randoms and the only ones in the gal from tick 0 was the BP. Ended up decent with some good exiles coming in late and some ok latestarters
Etd was very fun. 3 more weeks and we'd see some real ownage
Decent round all together. not impressed by stats but had alot of fun playing with Insomnia one last time.

Rather inactive round from me, wasn't supposed to play but in the last min I join a bp I knew wouldn't be completely relying on me to dc. We had really good luck in getting exiles (except getting kargool) so for most of the round we had 11 asc and 1 random That also meant constant incoming since there was no fence whatsoever and our xans really suffered from that. I escaped big incs because of being a worse target than the xans and generally not having a ton of roids like the caths so it was a happy medium where I could send 3 co fleets out pretending to be phoenix, no-one dared landing on them. At about tick 700 when we napped xVx and the incs stopped I started attacking again and got some lucky breaks to gain roids fast. Not alot of targets out there I could solo roid but with a cath you can do anything. Not sure how I was that high xp rank since I was very value heavy all round and had to attack in team ups but I guess other people just noob bash more. Spent the last few days escorting/defending after hitting 5500 roids (couldn't mine more) and very surprised to end up 5th. Overall a below average round from me, not sure how other terrans didn't do well as I didn't find the stats that bad

my 4 round top100 streak was broken, but tbh it was to be expected before the round, so it didnt bother me much to loose roids whenever i just gained em.
beeing in a CT BP with a lot of inactives didnt help, well maybe inactive is the wrong word, but not active when shit hits the fan.
I dced a bit for the gal and we did ok that way (its hard if 3 of 5 ppl are available to send ingal def fleets and you have 4 waves each), but after a night of ppl still launching attacks though knowing we will have incs, i kinda gave up, latest as i noticed, that if i am not around, no one would bother about my incs as i botherd about theirs.
so it was a pretty shit round, but i am at least not burned out now, with having the last 2 weeks off...
cant await the next round and i promise to be top100 again

Started out as demo cath intending to cov op (destroyed 96 structures before i couldnt be bothered anymore \o/ ), but ended in a pretty asc heavy gal so figured i'd have to do something more. Ended up reshacking and saving in gal fund (which was pretty much a waste as bankhacking matters **** all compared to roids). Anyway, did some teamuos and got some roids/xp. I didnt play very much untill after we stopped getting incs, so never bothered to get anti-cr/bs. Got roided by bs the last day, but who cares.
Also, there's a bunch of things wrong/balanced badly with covops which makes it really unfun after a very short time, and most of it is pretty useless anyway. Either make it somewhat worth it, or just remove the damn thing already.

80 10:8:8 Godlike behaviour Xan 1,627 6,237,270
1600 roids
280k cruisers
and 1.2 mill co/fi
many told me i was nuts in the beginning that i went xan cruisers because of massive def i would get. this didn't help either since i was the only one in the ally with a decent cr/bs fleet. but surprisingly i got through quite easily.
last two days were epic with two landings on another xan that made me rise 1.6 mill in score
first time for 1.15 mill score and the second one for 443k score.
sorry about that Henrik, i usually don't go twice after one target.
gal was nice to play in, asc attacked us once but didn't land much, same for xVx and rock, but then boredom struck my galmates and they only kept to defending, so we dropped slowly but steadily down the gal rankings up to 30th. but overall a good group to play with.

had an ennoying start of round, with people crashing on me for roids i had a hard time getting back.
everything started to get better when bg + xVx started hitting TOOT planets odly enough.
must have been the only TOOT not being hit from that.
build up my roid count, and started to do some nice lands that got me close to top 100.
landed 780k score and 12k xp on the final day to get my final boost.
had a fairly descent round for being idle two weeks.
gal was nice to, Nov, sick, morph, kaf,
the rest got kinda inactive the last weeks of the round.

This round was probably the best round of Planetarion I have ever played. I came dead last and didn't build a single ship or construction all round. It was ****ing great.
I signed up late and was 'gifted' 75 asteroids as part of the late start bonus. This put me miles ahead of my nearest competition, "janesb", who had zero asteroids and, as far as I can tell, didn't log in once all round. He is an inspiration to us all.
To beat him at coming last I recruited 5k or so guards to cancel out my res gain with wages. But that wasn't enough. Even if I fired all the guards my score would still have been higher than janseb. My only chance, I thought, was to get him deleted for inactivity, so I sent about eight or nine support tickets to that effect. PA team helpfully replied:

So I did, and after a whole lot of waffle from Judge about "automated processes", Appoco informed me that paid planets were never deleted for inactivity but 'of course' he couldn't confirm or deny that janesb was a paid planet.
So after all that I thought: **** the lot of them, I'll do this my way. With two days to go I fired all my guards and had Zaejii help by covoping the living shit out of my planet. We got it down to 12, a heroic effort for which I am eternally grateful. By the last tick I'd thrown away nearly all of my value, and finished more than 20,000 points behind my nearest rival.
I'd like to say it was a team effort, but Ascendancy were no ****ing help at all. Not once did they ever defend me, attack with me, or provide me with scans. ****ing useless the lot of them <3

Started and finished strong. In the middle lost a bunch of roids, but just kept attacking. As crap as Xan was this round with the imbalanced cath fi, we made it work. I attacked with eksero all round, and obviously we used xan co. We attacked with phant+rev on cath fi planets with banshee+tiny amount of phant on on cath de planets. Other then the occasional etd fr target, or weak terr co the attack strategy worked pretty well. We roided caths all round, and there were plenty to choose from. Def fleet was bombers and banshees. Never sent a fake attack other then maybe 3 times. Never sent a fake oog def either. Cath would have been a better choice, but xan worked out okay.
Gal was pretty quiet, no drama, a nice change from recent rounds. All xan kept the "BG's" away for the most part as Xan vs. Xan was pretty ugly. This was my first round in Asc and I really liked the style of play there.

Although I got back into the t100 after my disastrous r30 this round was really rather poor. Activity was less than ever, gal couldnt be bothered after two weeks, only really saved by being in asc thus only seriously assaulted during the two weeks of war, and as cat able to build up a large pile of roids at the end. Never before have I ended with a roid rank above my value rank; its usually 50 below

Man, on pure awesomeness, id BP myself if i was able to
/me waves to mz+ Failata
Shout out to pene/harv. T100 randoms, cant ask for much more.
Vrost a handy scanner to have ingal, TheYimmer was a sick t 700 recruit
HK did well, ended t50, tho potentially couldve been t10. BP as a unit wasnt as motivated as expected, but somehow we managed to be alive and active when occasionally incs rolled in. Pretty much every alliance that gal raided us came out worse off than when they went in . We had the ability to be an elite gal, but didnt end upso due to not really knowing eachother well, as a group.
My regards to Posi. Sorry that Mel outscored you, im sure u had your reasons.
One thing i learnt this round: BP teamplay > Solo ability.

Logging in to find my fleet is too much effort. I built a lot of fi/co and some cr later on. I started the round in one of my normal bps with achi/benneh/ba and isil. Our gal did okay I think, mostly on the back of benneh and isil doing well with cath. We got raided a fair bit during the war and almost all of our planets lost roids, especially the xans who we had to sacrifice to save roids on the caths. After the NAP everyone went pretty inactive and apparently we finished fifth! The stats really were utter shit, sorry gate, and the salvage changes didn't help either.
I tried taking a step back this round in Ascendancy in order to let other people step up. Some people did but as was obvious we lacked real coherence in some areas. I organised the NAP with xvx when it seemed like the round was going to go only one way. Removing the bgs from the equation so completely was really quite amusing and I'd hope that people intending on playing that way in future will realise that if you want to be involved at the top end you need to accept the fact that you're going to get shitted on if people feel like it.

A xan BP with eksero, Reese, Stuhlman and Considence. They were a nice bunch but I never quite felt like putting in effort so I sucked. The round was dull towards the end and for the latter hald of the round I ended up logging in like couple of times a week or when someone sms'ed me for def. Built something like 3:3:1 banshee/phantom/revenant but the stats were pretty horrible to be honest. I would have ended t100 if I had solo roided Cardi on the last day but apparently I didn't!

Went into the round to get another top100 finish, but things didnt turn out to b like that .. managed to crash some, didnt mine much during round so fell back in rankings all the time, overall didnt like being xan this round at all..
I Bp-ed with Savior, theodb, Baba and Disc, who all did well in the beginning, specially Disc..
for the 1/3 of the round our gal managed to stay in top30, but the same time Disc managed to crash everyone kinda dissapeared and there was nothing goin on nemore in 3:3
Overall i didnt like this round a bit and i would have lost nothing if i hadnt played it whats done is done, and lets hope next rounds will improve
