So much for a quiet night
So me and Mrs Vaio return from a night out and some f'ker has stolen our parking space (it's in our lease before some arse starts spouting). Anyway, Mrs Vaio when she is annoyed does things that I don't even consider, so she parks and blocks completely their exit (as one does). By some bizzare coincidence they decide to return to their car to go to wherever they are going. As you could imagine this leads to a bit of a confrontation. At one point I had some idiot up against a car with my hand round his throat while Mrs Vaio is squaring up to his girlfriend.
There probably isn't a morale to this story apart from if you are under 21 and drunk and think you are hard as rock then you probably are not, especially when you go and hide in your girlfriend's car when someone offers to tear your head off.
I think the government should do a campaign about it.
~Vaio~ (aka Rocky !!!!)

Does it state anywhere that the parking space is yours? As in, on a sign or anything?

Well, it depends. If it was simply that then yeah, that sounds a little unreasonable. But most of these things are about escalations on either side. If Vaio said to the guy "Hey mate, that's my space, do you mind moving your car so I can get in?" and the guy simply said "**** you and your mother" then it's a different matter.

You lead a very sad life if you will physically assault someone over them parking in your spot.

Re: So much for a quiet night
Yeah but consider it without the "I'll ****ing kill you, you... parking spot stealer!" idea.
They steal the parking place. You park there in front of them. They return, to leave and go somewhere else. Surely a simple evil eye and wait for them to sod off would suffice, then you can claim your precious spot and go on with whatever it was you were going to be doing?

It was the other 'gentleman' that started the fight when he offered to kill me. I offered to let him try. Are most of you seriously suggesting that I should have ran away ? What a bunch of fags

Re: So much for a quiet night
I was about three seconds away from flattening a bloke twice my size this evening after he nudged my shoulder drunkenly at a bar trying to get served. Then my father pulled me away, explained why it wasn't worth it and then we left.
If that makes me a bad person, find someone who cares.

If you're the sort of guy that would turn around and swing a punch because a guy accidently walks into you in a drunken state, you deserve to end up on the sharp end of a bottling.

Any tips?

Park so they can't get out. Leave a note with your mobile number on it so you can be contacted. When you return to your car, remember you are over the alcohol limit and realise that it won't be legal for you to drive, sit back and watch the fireworks

So you have never stopped here and therefore have no knowledge of Carlisle. With such insight it is a shame the US didn't ask you for advice in Iraq.....
