I could not resist it. I'm a salesman at the moment myself, but it was a case of 'omfgthatstuffiscool'.

D&G.. In Norway the consumer law says that if they are expensive they are meant to last longer, hence I've got a 5 year warranty on them.

Dolce & Gabbana are especially their t-shirt range, but they do some horrible tops for like £140 that are so New Wave
My favourite clothing on their site is 30/36 and 33/36 in Menswear for Autumn(fall)/Winter 2003 (and why do they have an old grey haired guy modelling on that site?)

You should have used the money for something sensible, like a good meal, a cool movie or something.
BUT NOOO, you had to buy A EXPENSIVE SWEATER.

Spending more than £30 on a single item of clothing is a crime.

that's just what poor people say (or people with just enough money but let common sense rule their lives)
designer clothes = better designs, better quality, better name
name matters, don't say it doesn't. anybody with any money buys designer clothes. that's why saying "name doesn't matter" is just an excuse for "i can't afford it"

deffeh: spending more than £30 REGULARLY is ****e. This year I have bought 4 items of clothing at 50-60 quid: ie, clothes which I wear a lot. however, 250 for a set of clothes = way way way way way way way way way way way way way too much you cnut.

I presume you have have reached this conclusion after conducting your thorough "Bloomers Survey of Every Single Rich Person in the World 2003"?
I've spent over £30 on shoes (not sure if they count as clothing), but not generally on anything else. There's no need. I doubt this will change as my salary increases.

If i wanted, i could afford it. You see, people who care about what they wear arent worth knowing. And if you think they are, your probably one of them, meaning you arent worth knowing either. Designer clothes dont neccesarily look better. McDonalds doesnt taste nicer than a butchers burger, a chip shop burger, or any other sort of burger, but they can charge triple the price for it and people will think they enjoy it more.
I wear clothes that fit me, keep me warm, and are comfortable. Thankfully these are usually cheap things i can order from clothes catalogues. Not once have i ever been impressed by someone because of how much theyve spent on dressing themselves, nor does anyone i associate with, because to care about what you wear so much you have to be really vain, and frankly, quite pathetic.

hey me to, ive spend more on shoes but thats because i find the quality of trainers from nike/adidas is better than for example hi-tec, but i dont spend more than £40 and my shoes are usually end of series/production ones. Im not into trainer for fashion since they all get scumy and dirty anyway, a friend of mine is madly into trainers tho, he buys this keep white spray to make sure his adidas stay bright and shiny.
As for clothes i can honestly say i buy my jeans and id say 40% of my clothes are from asda, and ive never noticed any difference between the george range and levi, its all made in the same sweat shop.
i have got some expensive clothes tho, one very good suit for interviews/funerals/weddings etc, apart from that i dont really go into brand names, as long as the clothes are generally into the fashion of the day i couldnt care less who made them
