Should I fail a year at school?
Should I fail a year at school so I have another extra year I don't have to work?
Obviously: school > work, and the last thing I want to do at the moment is having to do what a boss tells me all the time....
Almost half a year as an intern is more than enough for me!

"Football management"
On topic, I'd say if you're going to fail do it for the fun of failing rather than to avoid work for a year.

The problem with that is that people will think you're an idiot for failing school and the only job you'll be able to get is cleaning the streets.

A warning: Doing nothing is class in about a week.
Then you become like me.

I'm almost 20 (one more month), studying computer science (not university, eh... we call it "Higher Technical School (HTS)" and is one "level" below university), and am in my third year now. After this year I have another one (4 yrs total).
I'm not sure if I should continue with another study... I'm quite interrested in doing some software engineering as that's my primary interrest now (3D programming and stuff) but I feel sorry for my mom and dad for putting up with me for that long and being a financial burden to them. I'm not sure if I learn something from that as I'm already past the "basics" (most of them anyway).
They are already talking about that I should "work for OCE for a few years and then start my own software company in the garage at home", but I don't feel like I'm ready and I'm affraid that working for a boss will keep me from concentrating on the thing I REALLY want to do: game programming (don't laugh!!)...
Oh well.... perhaps they are happy to send me to the university, but I'm kinda scared of the maths there...
I still have a lot to think about... I though I finally got rid of my doubts about my final profession, but it seems that they are only starting now.
=/

And now it seems the PA forums are responsible for sending yet another poor soul to Uni, instead of spending a year happily failing school...
It must be a conspiracy, the evil and planned this...

I wouldn't advise failing anything on grounds of laziness.

Being lazy would't work in the first place...
I'd have to put more effort in it to fail than to complete every course...

if u want to be 'lazy' for a while then spend some time in a foreign country. this will actually look good on your cv unlike failing a year. money is of course a problem but it always is...

Get yourself a plane ticket and 'go do some repping'
Easy drunken 18-30 chicks 365 days a year.
Though I know of only one rep, and she tried to kill herself.
Ignore my suggestion.
