I have come back after 8 rounds ish off and i have to say you can clearly see the evolution of PA due to hard working creators and community. When playing ******** compared to this i find ******** boring and tactically lacking, the additions to PA such as races, history and covert ops etc seem well refined aswell as tuning of mining, research on construction. I cant wait for r13....
edit... interesting filter there, but thats your decision PA...

As much as round 2 was my favourite round (just because it was new and i had never played anything like it before) and have so brilliant memories of it, I would say PA is getting better by the round by a long shot and there is more to come yet it will just hopefully get a bigger playerbase now because thats all it needs really more ppl playing. 5000 aint enough or whatever it is at te mo. So call up all your relatives ye grandma grandad and get them playing to

It depends what you mean by 'worth playing'. I only joined the game right at the end of round 12 so I don't know anything about what the other rounds were like but from what I've read, PA has had stuff continuously changed and addded to it, so all the rounds aren't exactly the same. I've also tried one of the clone games after havoc when I was bored and I can say now that PA is by far the best, especially for newbies like me as the stats are quite simple and theres plently of help around in the form of the manual and IRC. I think its worth playing, from my point of view anyway.

Yep, I agree with that, wasn't planning on staying up that late for speedgame 2 but was still up at 4 am. I was in the top 50 and didn't want to be completely killed overnight and my galaxy needed defence.

Hehe, and we got twatted overnight too! Still, we had fun, and you do get a lot of fun in PA. I don't know anybody who left because they didn't enjoy it. Only reasons I know of for people leaving are reasons to do with other commitments (including that odd thing we occasionally refer to as real life) or financial reasons.

there was about 50k players plus actually hence only 5k with 10 accounts each

Think R13 goes to a really good round when it starts. Hopefully it`s over 3 months. PA is the best texed-based game i ever played. Go on Spinner, come home and give us the try........

Heh, the old rounds where weird. Asking a m8 for defence and 5 minutes later I had 5-6 planets defending me. And as soon as I mailed the attackers recalled then within 5 minutes all defence was gone.
But for what I have read so far, the player base is growing. So I assume the game weill become more atrictive by the round. I can't remember wich was my last round. Think it was 10 or so. And since then I see a lot of changes. So I'm willing to try out a round. Gona be fun I hope
