So attacking has changed then....
Right so i had a few of those fighter things lying around on my planet so I decided to see what they do and particpate in an attack.
So the target was put up, I picked my one, got the fleet ready and thought, right I'll stay up for a few more hours, surf the web for a while, make a nuisance of myself on IRC etc. Then the chat about how to set up your launch time for later.
So I thought, aw, shur that's just great isn't it.
Then I went to set my alarm to launch my fleet. But wait, I don't need to.
In fact I spent about 30 seconds picking a target and prepping a fleet. That's it.
To be honest that's a load of bollox. There's no dedication involved, there's no late nights waiting to launch, there's no anticipartion as the moment to launch comes, there's no calcing to be done, their's no waking up groggy eyed to launch a fleet. There is no ****-ups and incidents launching. It's crisp, it's clean, it's the perfect attack.
And I hate it.
*also the Missions screen could do with a serious redesign so I don't have to scoll through all that wasted space even at a res of 1280x1024.

Ok, but don't complain about a decreasing playerbase, then, 'cause the excact moments you just mentioned is the same moments that make some players quit, and stop other from paying at all.

That could be quite amusing heh
Or.. turns out your pilots were former employees of american airlines, while getting drunk they landed in the wrong galaxy and died on heavy defense.

Alliances still have the debate on how far in advance to release target coords to prevent leaks etc, so not all dedication is gone.
