Open source ticker
Ladies and gentlemen,

I have embarked on a new project: an open source ticker.

But i realised that maybe, noone is waiting for this. My question is: would you please react here if you would appreciate an open source ticker?

The ticker would download all botfiles, and put them in a database. All ticks will be saved in history tables too, and exile, signup and delete tables will also be made.

I know that. I just was rewriting my own ticker, and thought i migth as well offer it. Thats the main reason i posted this thread :-)

The pilkara ticker btw isnt very good anymore, since too much has changed oevr the years. You have to do too much adapting :-)

It's not that trivial. It's easier to rewrite it than to refactor, but it also requires some database modifications to take full advantage of a rewrite.

I believe my code (http://pirate.planetarion.com/showthread.php?t=190584) works on the most recent dumps, but let me know if it doesn't and I'll update it. I think perhaps XP was added to the dumps, but mine calculated it anyway.

To recap, it does the dumps in a few seconds (machine dependent) including all of the ranks (score, xp etc).

It doesn't calculate some information sandmans holds - round roids and things.

Perhaps you would like to extend my work to include this Remy.
