The charecterisations were, obviously, theatrical. But the underlying tensions and schemes were pretty accurate, I think.

For instance, Gordon does have this big problem with getting on with people. He doesn't/didn't appeal to the broader whole as much as Blair.

It was good enough, for a piece of drama.
