Green and White Wash
Celtic 1 - 0 Rangers
5 wins for Celtic against Rangers this season.
6 victories against them in a row.
The Championship secured (the other week but never mind).
There is no doubt who is the daddy mac.

Actually to give this thread a (/some) point ...
"Do you think Celtic will sign Rivaldo?"
"If yes how much use do you think he'll be (he is old* etc)?"
*still talented as **** mind

I think when it was scored made it all the sweeter too (i reckon the huns thought they'd held us to a draw so to lose the game in the dying seconds makes all the worry throughout the game worthwhile).

Re: Ha Ha You Dirty Huns
I dont want that shitebag Rivaldo at my club. To be perfectly honest, Rangers look like theyve outmanouvered us in the summer transfer market already. If they get Dado Prso on a ****ing free, im going to have to ask some questions over why we arent trying to get him, why we didnt realise his contract was expiring etc.

For the last 2 weeks , hes been touting himself as going to Bolton.
Exactly why wouldnt he go to a successful European club which draws 60,000 fans to its home games?
I really want you to explain this one rationally Koen without using the "Ha Ha Scottish Football is crap" argument, which is usually put forward by people whove never watched Scottish football.

because rivaldo is an arrogant bastard who thinks he's like the best striker in the world. i can't imagine he'd accept a transfer to celtic.

Celtic regularly sell out their away tickets. The only thing that ever limits us is the size of the stadiums we have to visit.

Re: Ha Ha You Dirty Huns
The only thing I'll say with Rivaldo, is do you really want him?
There is a list as long as my arm of South American 'big name' stars who has come to English football and failed miserably. I really cant see Rivaldo being any different. And, as for choosing to play for Bolton or Celtic. I'm sure he'd choose Celtic. He would most likely a) earn more money b) play infront of a full house every week and c) have an easier time of it. The only reason he may choose Bolton instead would be the draw of playing premiership football, although the premiership seems to be turning into an expanded version of the SPL anyway.

You got a short arm?
I'm slightly pished but i cant think of many 'big name' south americans that have come to England. Emerson went to Boro and was shit. Veron was shit at Man U and he hasnt really had a chance at Chelsea. I'm struggling to think of many other major South American players, apart from Juninho who has been a success.

Gilberto Silva
Roque Junior was immense for several teams earlier this season

That is what I was on about. I'm not saying Celtic have bad support, just that only their opponents have small support.

Re: Ha Ha You Dirty Huns
Like i said, i dont want Rivaldo. As Koen said "Rivaldo to celtic? hahahaha" - i say "Rivaldo good enough for celtic - ahahaha"
He may have a good shot and a few tricks still, but its not worth ****ing bankrupting ourselves wages wise for such an old player.

He said 'big name'. If Tarricco classes as big name then i'm the Pope.
Gilberto has been part of the Championship winning squad and hasnt had a 'bad' season. Edu has been pretty good this year as well. Dont know what Arsenal team you've been watching .
Juninho unsuccessful?
I named Veron as one of the few i could think of. Crespo has only been here a season and never given a proper run in the team but has still managed +10 Premiership goals. Asprilla was a good player for Newcastle.
In general the big name South Americans dont come to England, so to generalise and say most of the big name south americans in England are shit is just stupidity.

Asprilla was a good player for Newcastle? What paralell universe are you from?
Crespos performances have been lackluster.

Re: Ha Ha You Dirty Huns
Crespo has 10 goals in 19 Premiership starts. Thats not a bad record at all. Strikers need confidence and consistancy, you cant expect them to be great if you are continually rotating them and giving them a different partner to play with.

Asprilia took time to settle at Newcastle, but once he did, he was godlike for about 12 months.
Crespo is a van nistelrooy type player. hes not going to do henry type goals, so anyone expecting that is going to be sorely disappointed.

Asprilla started off dodgy but once he found his feet he was amazing. He was one of the best strikers in the league for a season and a half.

I remember a long while back standing in the queue buying tickets for the champions league matches for man utd and stuff and all the laughs that were had by the countless rangers fans at the mere suggestion of rivaldo going to parkhead, and it seems our laughs were correct.

Re: Ha Ha You Dirty Huns
Emerson was amazing when he was in this country, any boro or sunderland fan will tell u that. If i was Celtic i'd offer Rivaldo a contract on reasonable wages coz i'm sure if he accepts it he'll be there to play for the team rather than the wage packet. i dont think any1 can doubt his class.
Asprilla was fairly talented but was too much of a loose cannon ever to be called a great player, he did screw darlo tho which got him bonus points

id rather my club took note of the comical decisions financially taken accross the city, and didnt sign someone like rivaldo. im not convinced hes any better than some of the guys we have already anyway - playing for considerably less

Re: Ha Ha You Dirty Huns
You have absolutely no-one to fill the shoes of Larsson though, Hartson and Sutton ain't got long left in em either.
Don't worry I'm sure Celtic fans will come out saying the squad is better than ever, finances are in better shape and there is no youth club child abuse, even though O'Neill prolly won't see anything from the biscuit tin, there will prolly be more hushed scandals and well the squad wont' be better without larsson.
oh and I hear they are renaming Parkhead back to Manor Farm.

I heard this weird rumour that Larsson, as the greatest ever foreigner in Scottish football, is irreplaceable. Of course we dont have anyone to replace him, the mans a ****ing genius. With us losing him, and you getting prso and boumsong i cant deny the field suddenly looks a lot more level. But if your ridding yourself of the de boers, ricksen, mols, moore, arteta, then im not sure who the hell you're gonna fill your team with, and considering the bulk of our team will stay together for one more season and is proven to have worked well, i'd still favour us if we can sign a pacy striker.
