Serious IPod trouble!
I'm trying to copy all my songs off my Ipod but I'm not sure how to. Itunes doesn't seem to have a copy function so the only thing I can think of is to open it and copy them all straight off the Ipod.

Herein lies the problem.

the Ipod has sorted them in a rather perculiar way.

It has seemingly placed them all in 50 folders.

In no particular order.

So the only way that I can see to get them sorted is to go through each folder manually and sort them out myself.

Oh yes, just one more thing:



there are 5,044 songs to be sorted.

(at the risk of sounding like a dodgy marketing account)

has anyone seen the ipod offer on walkers crisps? They're giving away one every five minutes in september but what makes this potentially interesting is
  • when you enter, your code only counts for the next 5 minute draw
  • instead of txting, you type in your packet code on the internet
  • it's a UK only offer, so if you're a fat bastard or can get people to give you their empty packets, and enter 20 codes at 0430 on a midweek morning (by having a lot of browser windows ready to submit) you have to stand a pretty good chance of winning?
  • the website will be giving stats on times when fewest people enter
  • you don't even need to buy crisps, you can get codes sent to you through some 'no purchase necessary' thingie
I'll bump this sometime in september, probably to say I tried and it was a total waste of time

regardless of the relative crapness of a mini, (though 4gb sounds huge compared to the ancient 128mb player I've got), I posted it because discussion of how their entry system could possibly be exploited may be of value, especially if you resell them/keep them for xmas presents etc
