Obligatory 'Dante Disagreeing With Everyone' Post.
Blink 182 are really really good. Although their latest album is a little odd in places.
As for 'Depends', are you referring to the lyrics/content of the song?

Re: What the hell were they thinking?
I hate that new song they've released, but I generally don't mind them existing as a 'fun' band, and they are better than most of the shit pop that's around.

Has Nod become some kind of standard by which everything else is measured?
"Hmmm, that was a really annoying woman in the library, she must be at least a 2.5 on the Nodrog scale!"
However, I digress. I don't know what type of music Nod likes, aside from Avril ( ), that rap thing he posted the other day, and 'The Logical Song' which is actually fairly good.
But Blink 182 are actually really good, and I'll continue to repeat that until someone can prove me wrong.
edit : Feeling This (the new song) is OK but is definitely not their best work.

No, Nodrog has a bloody awful taste in music. He had, until recently, the worst standards with regards to music on The Forum. It was, therefore, worthwhile pointing out that yours are now worse even than his.

From memory, in the last 'Blink 182 are rubbish lol!' thread, a few people posted pro-Blink 182 remarks, so I'm not alone in my tastes.

Re: What the hell were they thinking?
actually I don't mind Blink 182, but that song - lyrics&music - sucks ass.
I was wondering if there any other songs by any other bands that can fit under category "what the hell were they thinking"?

Pretty much every song by Good Charlotte falls into this category.

I'd imagine they were thinking about the millions of dollars they'll be paid and the teenage groupies they get to screw, those irrational bastards.

Why would a punk-rock (for want of a better term) band do a hardcore remix?

Are you trying to imply something about their similarity to the popular beat combo 'Green Day'?

Re: What the hell were they thinking?
I found Blink's new album a tad depressing. They "split up" for a while and as Boxcar racer they created an emo-rock-punk-kinda-thing album, and their new one is not much different. It certainly is not punk rock in its original sense, and is definately different to their old stuff.
Anyhows, I like Blink 182, but I have no idea about the particular song this thread is about.

Yeah, I think it's their attempt at seriousness. I mean, WTF is with that song with the woman reading the letter/poem/whatever?
