My ears are bleeding
Yes overtime is all well and good and then you have annoying ****s who put their music on and make your day misery.
All day i (and the rest of the office) have had to listen to the likes of Craig David, Dolly Parton (the Greatest hits of ... it lasted like an hour and a half easy) and random Pop shite collection albums (which pay the likes of Geri Halliwell's "It's raining men" and Bob the Builder) amongst others (they were the first that sprang to mind).
Somebody even put some "quirky" indian music on for 4 tracks or so.
I mean i could feel my soul shrivelling up just sitting there.
Currently Pitchshifter are trying to restore me to equilibrium.
[/how it goes]

Re: My ears are bleeding
Actually hypothetically ...
If "somebody" in my role "knew the annoying persons name" they could search the database for them.
Once they found their latest application they could look at it.
On the application would be their address* ...
BUT I WOULD NEVER DO THAT!*
*so no promotion needed really ... just knowledge of name.
**prolly abuse of position or something.

i'm pretty sure that that would come under The Computer Misuse Act 1990
"The Computer Misuse Act of 1990 defines three specific criminal offences to deal with the problem of hacking, viruses and other nuisances. The offences are: - Unauthorised access to computer programs or data
- Unauthorised access with further criminal intent
- Unauthorised modification of computer material"
that came striaght out of my A level Computing text book

Feel for me, I have the daily pleasure of listening to Daniel O'Donnel on repeat. One of these days I'm going to swap it for Rammstein or some such thing and see how they like that.

Re: My ears are bleeding
Speaking of music, Muse have said they want to do 'guitar disco' for their next album.
But then they said before Absolution that they were making a jolly upbeat album, and came up with something with track titles on the order of 'Time is Running Out', 'Apocalypse Please' and 'Thoughts of a Dying Atheist', so we're probably going to get a jazz synth/reggae thing next.

Re: My ears are bleeding
the best part of being a tea boy is you get to keep the gone-off milk, stick it in a cupboard (so noone throws it away) and let it grow. Currently i have a bottle with about an inch of curds in the bottom, and the bottle has swelled up under the pressure of the gas being produced and will probably explode soon

How about winding up the rest of the office by playing Slipknot, Korn or something like it? Or being a teaboy doesn't permit you to have a say on which music to be played in the office?

They wouldn't permit that kind of music (it doesnt appeal to enough people etc).

Tell them it's the lastest craze with the kids. I'm sure they've got sons and daughters pretending to be "punks", "grungers" or depressed Korn fans.

If you say you want to listen to good music on religious grounds they'll have to play it or you can sue them.
