I think they post there email addys, it would be great if anthonny came on. He could learn off Dace how to treat 15 year olds and evade the law at the same time.

She lists school as a hate, so she'll be one of those who drops out after the first year. But still, I'd hit it

Re: Dace Paradise
What i do not understand is why bebo actually allows (esp girls) of this age to write things like 'I LIK SEX WITH RNDM BOYS LOLS'
Esp as her age is 15?
Along with pictures that im fairly sure her parents would go 'jesus christ' too it doesnt exactly make for 'safe internet use'

Re: Dace Paradise
MySpace (and the like) are already being pressured to raise the minimum signup age to 18 (as opposed to 13 or whatever it is now). They'll probably do so eventually.
Undoubtedly civilisation will be safe once that's done, and all underage sex will stop immediately.

What's even more worrying is that some of the profiles there actually have hardcore lesbian porn video's on them in the ' flash box ' section, and considering minors read that site and have profiles there... is that even legal?

Because the average 15 year old would have a hard time finding porn otherwise?

Probably not, doesn't mean you have to promote it on the average myspace-ripoff though now does it?
Atleast normally pornsites have this ' over 18 ' thingy on them, whereas bebo is promoted as the place to find your ' school or college '.

Re: Dace Paradise
If you combine what GD wants to do to these people it comes out as violent underage rape followed by, or during, murder. Possibly followed by necrophilia.

Re: Dace Paradise
On a serious note i think bebo do take the whole "paedophilia" thing seriously. For a start they have a "report abuse" link down in the bottom left of the persons profile. You have to be logged in to use it but i'm sure it directs you straight to the police or something.

something i'm curious about.
Nevermind came out when she was what, 1 year old? Cobain died when she was probably 3. I can't imagine myself being a huge fan of, say, John Lennon or someone like that, at least not at that age.

Jesus I wish I was 15 all over again.

I don't see being a 15 year old girl as an acceptable excuse for liking bad movies. Chick flicks, fine, bad chick flicks, not so fine.
My first instinct was to take her side, saying something along the lines of "actually, groups A, B, and C aren't bad, and I actually thought movies D and E were pretty good (as chick flicks go)."
But the fact is, even if you selected groups and movies randomly for your list on average it would indicate better taste than this.

Re: Dace Paradise
Do you know what's funny?
You sound like a bunch of old people complaining when we started to use the words "wicked", "cool", etc in school. All those little slang words we used (and still do, to some degree) weren't proper english, yet we found them acceptable.
Older people didn't like the change in the English language, yet a lot of it is staying.
This is just the next generation of English slang - in text. We may not like it (I know I don't) but the complaining you lot are doing just makes you sound old and outdated. Of course I won't stoop to using text-speak - I think it's moronic - but I know I used it to some degree when I was 15/16/17 online. It's as you grow older you realise it's stupid.
So just tolerate it and hopefully they'll grow out of it. It won't be long before text-speak starts to appear in the OED though, I think.

As with many language issues, the problem is not vocabulary. The problem is grammer. Using "wicked" or "sick" or whatever as a synonym for "really quite good" is fine, but it's the grammar mangling that's quite distracting. Especially when a lot of the time it doesn't even appear to be consistent (even in one individual's writing).

I have never ever used text speak. Ever (accept maybe actually in a text when I ran out of letters. But I usually use perfect english even in texts). At least "wicked" and "cool" are still English words and are readable. THe crap the the yoof are using today is just ridiculous and unreadable. A word without vowels is not a word (I challange anyone to find a proper English word that doesn't contain a single vowel)

'y' is a vowel.
The orthographic definition of what a vowel is states: a vowel is a letter or other symbol representing a vowel sound, as, in English, a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes y.
How about 'cwm', a word derived from Welsh meaning Mountain Basin. I'm always shocked by how many words Welsh folk have for where they keep their sheep.

Ms, shhh, nth, tsk, TV, and traditional celtic words like cwm and crwth.
assuming you would dismiss out of hand words like Mr. and Mrs., due to the . in their spellings.

Those are onomatopoeia and the other is an acronym (or something) and so don't count. I've never even heard those other two, what do they mean?
Anyway, I will admit that I didn't really think my challenge through properly, but my point stands. Text speak is terribly terribly shit

Re: Dace Paradise
Achilles, Am i really that predictable! Apparently so...
hm i hope no one here thinks those chavs are actually my friends - if they manage to work out how to use this forum I’m pretty sure they will reply to your messages with a tirade of swearing in upper/lower case fonts. *watch out* they might get their hardcore mates/pimps/hos/mothers on to you...
I do think it a little sad that people have congregated to talk about people half their age, mind you i agree with what most of you have to say expept maybe:
to the guy who thinks im cliched - hows this for a cliche - weirdo guy who needs to get a life, on an internet forum talking about younger girls?
to the guy who thinks i'm too young to idolise kurt cobain - have you heard current chart music? no wonder i turned to something else - even if it happened 10 years before i got into rock music...think about it, silly!
from the one and only ‘EMO WHORE’ (who thought up that name anyhow? im flattered, really i am)
