Three of you are sick sick people! HOW CAN ANYONE VOTE FOR THAT HALF FINISHED BUGGED TO HELL TRAVESTY THAT WAS FRONTIER? It was never finished, it crashed regularly, there were bugs in it that would let you garner billions withing an hour of starting to play, and the control mechanism (while more realistic) sucked. Elite 3 was even worse and 4 is due out in about 2 years...apparently this one will be MMOPG and will actually work.

As for the original topic,

1. Elite. NO question whatsoever.

Don't think there are any more I'd really rate as worth including really

OR alternatively (if I remember right) try to sell your ship for a smaller one with passengers on board. It told you you couldn't then gave you the cash anyway while you kept your ship.

As for bugs, the most annoying one was the absconding passengers one. If your passengers did a runner without paying the cabins stayed occupied indefinitely meaning you could never upgrade your ship. There were others (mostly to do with assassination missions but other missions were affected as well) but that was by far the most annoying.

They also never finished the Thargoid mission series, it stops halfway through

Thargoids are your friends after you save their race from destruction. You should have payed more attention to the missions And the Thargoid ship you got for saving them was awesome, shame the game as a whole sucked.

Video Games

You should only be asking people of 25 and over to vote .................with the exception of the few younger enthusiats that have been through the catalogues of games back to vic 20 and beyond.

More or less anyone under 25 is too fkin young to have a remote clue about games from the 70's ( home game systems ) and 80's.

Unless you have owned and played with a fair proportion of the following:

- orignal home entertainments systems ( grandstand etc with pong )

- vic 20 , dragon , bbc micro , c64 , spectrum etc

- atari st , amiga , 286 , 386

- 486 , pentium onwards

plus played the various console formats .....

FK OFF your opions don't count you noobs

24 years gameing and still playing

Arena (PC)
Final Fantasy 7 (Playstation and PC)
Warcraft (PC)
Doom (What a cash in. Just about every system around)
Manic Miner (I forget. I probably wasn't even born, but this kicks arse)

Yes, I liked Arena more than Daggerfall. In my opinion Daggerfall was actually too big. It took 2 real life weeks if you wanted to walk all the way across the map. Two weeks!

edit: damnit, I need some Amstrad games in there. Let's have a Lords of Chaos thrown in there for fun, eh?

But only about 1 minute if you used fast travel! I loved daggerfall; I must have spent more time playing it than any other RPG ever, ff7 aside. I never actually got round to doing any of the main quest though, the quest dungeons annoyed me too much. I wonder if anyone actually ever finished it...

Yeah, that's the one.

I couldn't get it working for ages (something to do with passwords), but when I did, it was a classic.

It actually has two or three semi-famous sequals, one of which is on the PC I think. I'll go take a look.

I will love you forever! Dont suppose you can remember how many levels the original had - I was never sure if I had a real copy or a demo version. Mine only had 3 worlds if I remember right.

Was searching google for a LoC ROM and found this. Looks pretty interesting, downloading it now.

Chaos was the first in the series.
Lords of Chaos was second.

This is all I could find, but I know they were making a newer game in the past 1-5 years, because I read it in PC Zone.

Classic Gaming is the place to be if you would like old fashioned ROMs. Lords of Chaos is there. I haven't looked for the original though.

edit: I think the real one only had three worlds.

plus, I believe (not certain) it may be part of the Magic and Mayhem series of games. I'll see if I can get comfirmation

Fallout 2
Civ

Diablo
Tie Fighter

well...Fallout 2....an RPG with so many different ways to go thru it
Civ.....found it more addictive than any of the later Civ & civ clones......
Diablo.....strangely addictive to play tho it was to easy
Tie Fighter.....a hard choice between Xwing & this.....
& i know i'm gonna get lots of ppl slating me for prefering FF8.....i loved FF7....but somethign about 8 made it more enjoyable for me....tho after 7 & 8 i wanted to kill the ppl at squaresoft for making FF9 so damned bad....
