changing a headlamp
we have a new nissan micra, in said nissan micra manual there are instructions on how to change a bulb in your headlight, now, let me say at this point, i dont claim to be any good with cars but this job looks easy i mean, the instructions only have 7 steps, 7! And the last 3 of those are only the first 3 in reverse...


**** me, how hard is that, nissan obviously think that we all have midget hands thhat can reach around corners, and very small, tight corners at that? My wife in now taking the car to a garage this morning and getting them to fit the light, which will cost a fiver, bloody hell.


not sure why i posted this, i just felt vaguely like having a rant over a job that really isnt as easy as its made out to be

i felt i should comment as this is a thread about cars.


yes they are somewhat trick and small hands do help. Some dudes on another forum i read have been modifying their 'angel eye' lights (they are white halos around the main light) to a different colour and it involved taking the entire light cluster out because the people who designed it clearly thought 'ho ho ho noone will ever want to change this bulb ever ho ho ho'.
