what the hell is wrong with that bush-guy?
first afganistan, then iraq and now hes preparing for syria?
what the hell? wouldnt it be a good idea to fix the last two countries he invaded first?

I'd be surprised if they/we can invade syria successfully before the next election. however, if the war is its early stages at that point it might send his approval rating soaring.

But since that appears to have be the objective of the US et al.'s middle east policy for the second half of last century, why stop now when we're on a roll?

That's the problem - it has convinced most of the public of it. (The US public, that is.)

A large proportion of the US population believe that Saddam was involved with Al-Quaeda and that WMDs have been found in Iraq.

I'm sure if they started saying "Germany started it!" then many people would believe them.

but people get already worried and there have benn only a few hundret dead soldiers yet. that wont be enoughno matter how hard you try to blow up half of the planet.
